In a way this buffs Frisk. Back when you had to use the wheel, you could sometimes not pick the right weapon when doing weapon swaps mid lmb, now its pretty much guaranteed and doesnt requires as much practice as before Not many people could do shoes 1 into swap to knife because it requires so much speed and precision, now its much simplier and allows you to pretty much combo anything into anything
I wouldn’t exactly call “making the character more user friendly” a buff, but I get what you mean by it making combos easier to pull off. I personally never liked the wheel, as it added an extra factor of human error.
Honestly the best change in this upd is block buffering As for the frisk weapon swapping change, I think it's good for console and for general accessibility. Just gets in the way of my muscle memory, though my only negative on the change is that it is uncomfortable for MNK if you stick to defaults like I do (i plan on changing a lot of binds after this) My only personal gripe with frisk as someone who plays them extensively, is that their 2nd phase play feels extremely boring since combo variation goes out of the window. Its like playing GTC but only limiting yourself to DT

Thanks to the new menu changes they made And maybe You PC players should get some skills using your keyboard more than your mouse so stop complaining that the update was to benefit every every other player that wasn’t able to play the character just like PC players only could
Being completely honest its kinda a skill issue. If you know how to play literally any other character well than the frisk rework would (at worst) would be a very VERY minor inconvenience.
First of all, incorrect. the whole point of this update for frisk was to make it possible for Xbox players to actually be able to USE frisk (I mean like knife 3 into fists 1) However I believe your not completely wrong about unnecessary additions (trident 1 buff for Asgore) so your wrong and right
@@Flamgosub frisk point is fair enough, but bro, my point is still true in lotta ways as you said, we never needed the combat update that changed teleports to dashes that we already had, we never needed a character (aka asgore) to have almost fully uncancellable moveset, the game is unplayable for me now, good thing tho, SS actually started to getting updated again
@xametist the issue with teleports is that it makes spacing obsolete, as well as an equalizer for all characters (gtchara's teleport was completly busted, while you can easily punish Undyne's "teleport". Asgore is perfectly fine having super armor moves since A: you can cancel it with knockback, which pretty much every character has options for (some moves even cancel super armor, such as Frisk's worn knife 3), and B: Asgore's moves are slow and easy to avoid (fire doesn't have super armor), so *good* players can easily avoid them and punish since asgore has long startups and endlag (especially on trident 1, which would be a worse undyne 1 if it wasn't for super armor)
Also soulshatters is a janky unbalanced mess (old sans can oneshot most characters with just 2 MOVES, you get bullied for playing new sans, utfrisk is still unplayable at low levels, asriel morph is impossible to m1, gtfrisk and gtchara are statsticks, undyne is stale, betty walls half the cast, sschara is boring, delta sans is discount gtchara, carrot god is silly, stevonnie is completly outclassed, sakyua is unfun to play as and fight), you get teamed on for picking certain characters (racism?), lmbs arent true if you lag the slightest bit, you *will* lag since the game is so unoptimized, and the leaderboard makes it feel more like the strongest battlegrounds. Why do you think UTPR, a game originally inspired *by* soulshatters, consistently has more than 10X the amount of people playing soulshatters??? 3 reasons. 1: UTPR is constantly getting updated, so roblox pushes it more leading to new players 2: UTPR is structured in a way that prioritizes skill over reaction speeds 3: UTPR is well balanced, letting it keep people coming back for more.

To begin with yes it benefits players in other platforms but at the same time they should add an optipn to bring back the old menu.
