Here's my current colony's story
A decade ago 3 Soldiers were shot down by a raider ship and got to the emergency pods, able to grab a decent sniper before they landed, essentially no armor and some food, months went by and after a while they had a small but decent base, power was quite an issue but that was something to solve later, capturing Theoporo they had an amazing researcher, expanding the base and getting schematics, at this point a few more were captured, 5-6 people about 2 years in, shit hits the fan several hundred times but its ok.
A decade in we have MAC cannons that penetrate any and all armor, marine armor to protect from most gunfire and explosives, I've had colonists get hit by grenades, or shot dozens of times, or mauled by boomalopes and surviving unharmed, we've developed aircraft and occasionally carpet bomb and nuke enemies to keep them from raiding, some have died and we brought them back from the dead as a hologram, we have a small space station, i still havent made a killbox (yet, that is for later) im just built different

Fantastic review, great narration and flow. Really appreciated. I agree with others here, although I don't really subscribe to gaming channels, content like this does deserve more subs. Perhaps elevated marketing (video titles & thumbnails) may be worth an experiment? :)

Though I wish you talked about mods a little more. It's... It's frankly ridiculous how much more playtime they add.
You can have Medieval Magic games without modern tech, lovecraftian cults, hyperhardcore games, games themed around your favorite series from Star Wars to WH40k. The undynamic world you mentioned? Rimwar solves that issue. Vanilla Expanded alone practically doubles the amount of content.

ps you should check out/do a review of neo scavenger. You seem to have a niche for roguelike/roguelite games and i think that game would b right up ur alley (plus more coverage on that game is always a goodthing)

Try dwar fortress with tile sets they make the game actually look like a game and not nuclear launch codes. Dwarf fortress has way more detailed and complex worlds than rimworld. it also has some really cool mods. its basically more complicated but more interesting rimworld.

but personally i rember when i bought the game played it for the first time back in alpha 15 played it with cassandra ( who si the best story teller for base fuck randy) man idk what i did but cassandra kept sending raids at me
today as of 2:08 PM, rimworld is $29 on fanatical, which is the lowest its ever been lol
This really wasnt the kind of game i expected after seeing the name
DF imo isn't actually that hard or complicated. Time consuming and tedious yes, not actually hard. The game has problems baked into it that I really hope they iron out of it in the steam release. How ever, I'm not getting my hopes up. The game actually requires a very powerful computer otherwise you are forced to make smaller map have less dwarves and worst of all, micromanage your items. DF is prone to FPS death. The game becomes unplayable and laggy, very quickly and easily unless your computer can handle it's lack of multithreading. It eats up your CPU even though the game really should not be that difficult to run... I was extremely dissappointed when I finally got far enough into the game that it just falls apart and then all you can do to aviod it is hold yourself back and even more micromanagment. It really doesn't take that much for you to run into FPS death even on a decent gaming P.C.
