I like how simply translating the 3x3x3 up a dimension can result in such a drastic increase in the number of possible/legal positions. The regular 3x3x3 has about 4.3x10^19 permutations, while this monster boasts a number of positions higher than a *googol* by ~20 orders of magnitude. Quite a difference.
Yeah 4D puzzles have quite a massive increase in permutations. That including basic cell rotations X, Y and Z but also axis of the corner and edge twists of the cells and also orientation of the pieces etc.
Yep it is the true physical form of the 4d 3x3x3x3 going by solve experience. The puzzle is restricted for the IODFUB layers so you’d need to gyro those to L or R to make them accessible
@@watchf I see! That guy is a genius for being able to figure all of that out! A year ago I kept trying to think of a way to accomplish that, but to no avail. I hope that one day he or somebody else can improve its design to make it more practical, because as it stands it looks like the computer is the only way to try this one out! 🫤
Yeah it’s honestly just a security thing. But the file is 100% safe. You just need to download all the files in the drive with the .exe file to get it to work
do you think you will ever make a tutorial? I mean looking at the video it looks like you do have some sort of idea on like what to do if that makes sense. I mean i can see tutorials for the magic puzzle 4d one so like could i theoreticly translate the moves to eachother and then solve it with that tutorial?
Yep I’m planning to do a walkthrough at some point showing what I do. It’s basically a lot of gyroing to move the sides to the left and right cells to make them more accessible to do algorithms etc. Yep I translated what I did on virtual mc4d or hyperspeedcube 3^4 and applied it here. It’s not an easy translation because there are a lot of orientation flaws that come with it and knowledge on how physical puzzles “gyro” and how it affects the orientation of the pieces
You want to make sure you download all the files in that drive on your pc. That’s all the Java, lib, source files too. If you just download the program itself without those files it dosent work

Hell, even the difference between the 2x2x2’s 3.7 million and the 2x2x2x2’s ~10^28 is already obscene.

150x150x150 Rubik’s cube still has more.
(Jokingly) I mean the difference from a 3x3 to a 3x3x3 is also pretty big so it makes sense (you can’t scramble a 3x3)
Ha! Try solving a 3! (It has 2 permutations)
this is MADDENING, also; WR AND PB
I'm surprised grants never solved his
How much more difficult is it to solve this version of a 3^4 than a MC version?
this is probably the coolest cube I've ever seen
I have no idea what's happening but it's beautiful
Grant himself hasn’t scrambled it yet
I don’t think he has solved it either
@@hyperespy3044 well yeah but you kind of have to scramble it to solve it
Amazing!! You're 100% sure this has the true topology of a 3^4 hypercube?

Grant S is the man to ask 😀
@@hypercubemaster2729 yeah, Grant has been the only man to produce physical hypercube puzzles above 2x2x2x2

Eldritch horrors beyond my comprehension
is it normal if my pc says that the file might be dangerous?

pokemon
Insane stuff!
imagine if there was a 4x4x4x4
there is in the simulator hes using

I downloaded the simulator and it didn't open, how do i fix that

And make sure you have the three to four.exe in the same folder as those downloaded Java, Lib, source files

4x4x4x4 phisical when????
BOO
did I jumpscare you?
yeah I bet you did, you coward
how long did it took you to solve it?
Hey, can link on is website:)
