And you can still buy them today. I just bought one about two years ago because I got mad with the fancy ones I had in the kitchen. Stopped in at the Dollar Store and pick up a cheap one with a long history. Worked better than all the new ones I had in the drawer put together. 😂😏

As a new homeowner let alone a new farm owner I would recommend and suggest that you keep any and all tools worth saving or restoring that way you can keep different sets all over the property so if you need a tool you don't have to run back to the barn to get one for the house or you don't have to go to the house to get one for the shed you keep a set all over.

I think they would jump at the chance to get the Info you could give them. Also the E.P.A. would be interested in info you could give them on dump sites you find spots with so much junk that there must of been illegal dumping at some time weather by a industry, or land owner they might like to know that they exist.
Just take a G. P. S. reading with your phone and mark what type of scrap your getting.

Think about how many people fished off that dock over the years. I'm surprised you didn't find more pliers, knives and fishing lures. The flashlight is indeed kinda old. That bottle opener was probably what was used to open those old beer cans and they got a buzz on and dropped it! LOL 21:40 it looks like a hand crank can opener with the crank missing. Thanks for sharing with us!!🐢✌

A bit over 36 minute video, which you probably spent a whole day of fishing to get that amount of video, then editing it all together. You do some wonderful work on these.
OH WOW, metal Schlitz can that is intact. That's some money for collectors. On those tools that have rust, you can use a drill with a 'rotary wire wheels' to clean them up easily, rather than using just a wire brush and elbow grease to clean them. A little WD-40 also helps on the Pivot Point will help with making them move better. On the heavily rusted pliers if you want to restore it, put it in some vinegar for less than 12 hours (starts pitting after a while, so check on it regularly) then use 'rotary wire wheel' on it. I've used that on many 'Farm Finds' to clean rusted tools right up. That one "Pliers' looking thing is a Can Opener, I have one like that in a kitchen drawer. Those Logging Tools are worth some money for sure. OH, you found a Bow Saw, but didn't show you fishing it up.

Tyler, I think I’ve mentioned this on different videos. I don’t think I’ve mentioned it on this one but I sure like to and I’m gonna mention it one more time. Are you ready for my idea?
OK load you’re fines in that trailer that’s in front of your place on four wheels and back it up into the barn so it’s not seen could be stolen. Keep filling it up don’t bring it to the scrapyard and get only $6.50 for it it’s a total rip off after all your hard work 6 AM, 7 AM you’re up and Adam this is so unfair so I like to say is save it all keep it all and when you make a call and find out it’s at a good price like $.12 then bring all your scrapping hitch up your trailer and blow that up tosee you have the back of your truck and your trailer loaded it’s all gone for $.12 that doesn’t that sound nice😅😅😅😅 no you’re gonna win you’re not gonna be sucked in by receiving $6.50 on your hard work! I sure hope you take my advice. It’s worth it.
The farmers do that with their crop they keep the corn in the silos, and when the Chicago price goes up, they sell it they call it every day to find out the prices not everybody uses the Chicago prices, but I think that’s the main place for most of the crop . do this with your metal please please please with a big big cherry on top and some sprinkles and lots of whipped cream and don’t swallow the cherry pit don’t bite into it either. It’s very toxic.
Sugar and spice and all things nice that’s you 🤗😇🥰❤️💚🎄❣️

Bireley's was a non-carbonated orange, that was popular across the U.S. they were bottling 59 million bottles a month by the 1950s but after being bought and sold a few times it was ran into the ground. It was still being made in Thailand until 2019.

I wish something was done because boiled boys that seat ever get wrecked. Just thought to let you know how ugly it looks right after you put that great big huge anchor on it that was so muddy cardboard is good. All those short pieces of chain, That's what you need to find the magnet you lost in the river. 2x4 3ft long with the chain secured to it and some 1/2 inch line and troll the bottom with it.!

Yea, soak the pliers in penetration oil over night. Then check that they work free, then sell the good pairs for a buck each.the logging tools you pull up from the deep dark depths maybe museums would be interested in those. The pieces of chain you find were used in the logging industry. Cheers. 😊

Under the dock from the boat is definitely a great way to find cool things. Those cans are so interesting. You will have pliers for any job now.

Also I think you should do a Q&A video for allll the questions. Be nice to know if you have made some cash money besides the junkyard runs.

That knife you found under the dock at 6:16 is old. My guess is it was about 125 years old. I could tell that it had a antler handel and was probably carried by someone who worked on a barge or river boat and was used cutting ropes and anything else. I hope you still have it.
I think I know why your getting so much stuff under the dock. It is because the old dock was closer to the shore. You can see the old posts in the there you can tell by looking that the old dock was lined up there under the new dock. Those old post at the end of the new dock sticking out of the water would be a good spot to drop the magnet in I bet

Those log hooks they used to roll the log with the hook they'd stick the log and roll it or move it to where they wanted it to go. They'd tie them together and float them down the river. Like a raft they use to have lig jams so they'd use the porker thing on the end of the handle to put the logs around to unplug the river so the logs would flow down the river. It was a neat way of moving lots of logs at a fast pace. Faster than a train or wagon and horses. Go right to the saw mill to be cut up. Sometimes the trees was in the water to long they'd sink to the bottom. They are pulling out big trees today that are 6 ft across when they find them. They call them the lost giants. We don't have many of those kinds of of trees left in this country no more. Everyone wanted to make money or farm land. Have a good day tell that son of yours I like his videos. His so cute I could watch him all day. God Bless you and your family

I would think once someone told you that the one item was a can opener, no body else needs to tell you. At least not that many times. Wow. I guess they don’t read the previous comments.😊 or did you tell them to say can opener? Not done with video yet.

They made pow, mia and kia bracelets to remember the soldier. The thin handle pliers are either hemostats long nose or short nosed neddle holders. For sutures or surgery. Works for fishing too.
