When I took the brakes apart on my Cuckshutt 30 I was lucky enough to find that the outer spline washers werre still there. They are a soft rubber washer that conforms to the splines when the tab washer is compressed under the cap nut. Yours appear to be missing but I think that if you trace the tab washers onto some neoprene and cut them out, that will work. I'd like to see a video on replacing wheel seals .

Good day. William. Back in 70's we bought Allis WD overhauled to 45hp. Transmission was rebuilt, bought it for lpto, balling going down hill, all of sudden it started to speed up, jumped out of 1st gear. It was not right take gear shift lever out ,line up put back together. When my daughter went to teacher's college Brantford, she worked at book store she bought me Cockshutt history book. When I saw service manual, thought of I think Cornerstone book, it moved to Tavistock, I think? Thanks for now

Howdy Don. My mom worked at cornerstone books for a while. I worked across the road at Chris Zehrs. Thanks for watching.

Good info, William! Never a dull moment huh! Probably going to be hard deal to get those splines to seal up, even if you filled them with RTV or something during assembly, there's probably enough movement there that it'll break up the RTV. Hope it all goes together well! Thanks for the video!

Nope never a dull moment around this joint lol. I think I'm going to try the RTV sealant. It's better than nothing lol. Thanks for the comment and for watching. Have a good one!

Are there any cockshutt's in your part of the world? I have a tractor here that came from Iowa. I'll do a video as soon as I get decals for it.

@@williamchambers7235 Well, technically, you have several that came from Iowa - Charles City, Iowa lol! Yes, there are a few around that I see at tractor shows, anything from a 30 to the occasional 4-digit Oliver/Cockshutt, but really not too many. Yeah, I'd be interested in seeing what you found from Iowa up there!

Plenty of oil keeps you from wearing out the brakes!! LOL! You got a bit of work on her but at least it had oil in it! That's a plus!! lol I hope you don't have to go to far into the transmission! If you can't get a replacement pin, maybe you can get one turned. Have a great week Jim!!

Lmao! And here I've been cleaning oil off brakes for years. So far not too many surprises. I think a pin from a #80 roller chain will work perfect. I hope everything is well. Thanks for the laugh and for watching.

How's she goin'? Working a gear that had oil leaks is always a dirty job. Lots of cleaning up do and hard to see what's what due to all the dirt and crude that is stuck to everything. You're getting it done though. Way to go!!! Take 'er easy!!!

All is well. How bout you? I always tell myself all the hard work of scrapping off old grease and dirt will be worth it once you peel the tape off lol. Thanks for watching.
