    How To Install 4 x4 Truck Side Steps, Nerf Bars... or whatever you want to call them.
    How to install Nerf Steps. Or sometimes called, running boards or nerf bars, truck side steps, . In this video we are using step bars from N-Fab. We are not affiliated nor endorsed by N-Fab. But the steps are nice. You'll need a drill, drill bits, Permanent Marker, C Clamps, tape measure, SawzAll and some spray paint.

    that is a terrible way of mounting side steps, they should be solidly mounted to the chassis rail. these will cause damage over time.

    Hello. I'm just getting ready to put a set on my Dodge Ram. How are these steps holding up? How much flex to they have. Thanks.

    • @ChurchieShed
      @ChurchieShed  5 років тому

      jeff tunnell They’re still fully in tact and in great shape. Zero flex for me... however, I’m not a big guy at 145lbs so I’m not putting that much weight on them. But we’ve been climbing on them to wash the roof and getting in n out and they’ve held up. Definitely not rock sliders though. Too thin and would most likely crush the F outta the pinch welds. Thanks for watching!

    you might wanna rethink the way you installed this. Bolts going through rusted panels.. hope you have personal injury protection. im sure those are meant to go thru the frame.

    • @ChurchieShed
      @ChurchieShed  10 років тому

      Installed properly according to nFab manufacturer specifications. The pressure gets distributed away from the pinch weld bolts by the flange that pushes against the back side of the rocker panels. The rust... well, would have been nice to get rid of that, but that's down the road in the resto. Thanks for watching! Have a better day!

    If you're gonna get welded tubes like that, why don't you just get REAL rock sliders and not some shit nerf bars that mount to the body?

      I just installed em on my hummer and they look great, had to use a rubber mallet and hammer it into place. One other thing to note is your brake lines on the driver side, youll need to move the hose a tad to have it fit. Overall they look great
