So amazing to see Bob James trio a few months back at Catalina Jazz club in Hollywood…and Dave Koz sat in for a song..they have some new stuff coming out…Mr. James is a G O D!! Still plays so fluidly…he is blessed. And so are WE!!! Thanks for the joy!!
OK, I'll cop to being 78 and still loving this incredible sound! God bless and keep you ALL who are old enough to appreciate all this gave (and STILL GIVES) us. Keep on keepin' on, y'all ... and never give a inch; never give in.

I absolutely LOVE this song. With the passing of Joe Sample, Bob James is now my favorite pianst. I have been a fan since be did the theme song for the tv show "Taxi" in the late 70's.

Hallo Mr James..... Saya sdh ngefans secara tidak sadar sejak masih SD ditahun 80an. Sampai akhirnya pada th 91 ketika saya main ke rumah Sahabat saya Almarhum Keletia Resa...di sana saya menemukan koleksi kaset Bob James ll th 1976 Perina Record. Milik kakaknya.....hmmmm woow amajing Begitu saya putar saya langsung Suka. Krn musiknya familiar ditelinga , krn sering dengar di film2 barat TVRI .... Akhirnya kasetnya saya pinjam sampai 2 th. Hahahahaha gila...minjem apa minjem. Sampai akhirnya saya cari dipasar loak dan berhasil menemukan album Bob James l, ll dan lll. Yeaaaahhhh Saya pulangin deh kasetnya....
Disampul kaset tertulis tanggal 21 Januari 1976, gile bulan February nya gw baru lahir..... Tua banget itu kaset.
Th 2006 klo gak Salah, om Bob James konser di Shangri la Jakarta, kangen banget pengin nonton ....walaupun tiketnya Mahal. Dibela2in.... Nonton pakai tiket yg paling murah. Eh ternyata pas lagi duduk di kursi paling belakang.....Saya dibisikin sama petugas panitia untuk pindah duduk dikursi paling depan..... Alhamdulillah girang banget. Bayar murah , eh duduk di VIP seat....rejeki anak sholeh. Saya fotoin om Bob James pakai kamera poket digital yg hasilnya masih ala kadarnya waktu itu....hehehehehe

A long time ago i bought a lot of Bob James records from a 2.nd hand record store that got 'em from a music critic.
At that time i never really wanted to meet any of the musicians i liked... Bob changed that... well, at least so much that i would love to hear him at a rehersal jam session. This guy is a living legend. It's hard to describe what Bob's music does for me, but what I do know is, it's all good!
