So much optimism coming from her during the interview. A level-headed teenager who knows what's going on in their lives but avoids being dramatic about it. I don't know if she wore the boots because she prefers country music, but I understand why they're a great footwear for this performance. When I close my eyes, I feel like I'm listening both to Kelsea Ballerini and Danielle Bradberry. If she leans towards pop, I can also hear the sound of Carly Rae Jepsen in her voice. Three things I really loved about this video: 1- how humble she is 2- how she did not use her situation to earn brownie points (like most people seem to do nowadays) 3- her voice so candid and pure. I met someone through a dating app and I really felt sorry for him. He was also a Syrian refugee and now lives in Turkey as a farmer. He told me about his life, his family was like an average-wealthy kind of family but when the war broke out, they immediately fled to an evacuation area for refugees with nothing, empty handed because they were so afraid. Then he said that his family was then sent to Turkey and they live life now as farmers (he did not even expected this to happen). He said it was really hard communicating with the people there because they do not speak the language (we only understand each other because this dating app automatically translate the message to the language we know).
I am Syrian and have sought refuge in Germany, but the road was too rough for me and my family. We nearly lost each other and didn't have phones. We met again by a miracle, after being lost for two days. I remember how I met my mother again, who was sitting on the ground with my sister..how she was crying ... she thought we were parted forever .. I speak 3 languages, myself and my family. So we were able to get help. In Turkey, it is very difficult to find someone who speaks English or a second language
Syrians are decent people, they are hard workers, talented and educated. They are not refugees because they want to and because they used to live in a dump, they are refugees because there is a civil war that lasted for more than a decade. I wish people can understand that and give them the respect they deserve.
Middle eastern people voice are beautiful cause they speak their language with good intonations so its like they were saying a poetry and their strong traditional music culture was really beatiful too, and i know that the muslims in middle east growing up with reading their holybooks like an angelic song with perfect tempo’s
