John Holiday: WWWWOOOOOOWWWWWW! To hear such command of a jazz standard absolutely blows me away! And the full command of his full - and wide - vocal range like that! He is truly a one-of-a-kind talent! And the others on here are also quite accomplished, as well; that 12-year-old girl was also world class, even at her young age!
The second girl's voice is so powerful, and her parents look extremely proud as they should.

The thing I love about auditions like these, is that no matter what happens later, in that moment when the judges turn, their dreams have come turn. You can see their heart in their eyes in that one eternal moment.
What is so wonderful about this show is it showcases remarkable talented people from all over the world. Music truly unites us.
How is it possible that first guy wasn't in some epic 80s hair band? The world missed out on that. Just a perfect hair band voice.

That one woman shifting so effortlessly from beautiful singing to hardcore scream vocals is INSANE!!! Screaming alone is hard enough, but to shift back and forth like that is CRAZY!!! I give her all the credit and respect in the world!!!
....and it was so great seeing John Holiday on this list. I remember back when his season was on and everyone was SHOCKED to hear the voice that came out of him.
It's a shame this isn't so well seen at those shows. That's not the kind of music the judges want to hear at those shows 😕

I've noticed that the bar is set much higher in The Voice America. That being said, Jadaki was absolutely AMAZING.
The fact that so many of them dont even speak English and are singing these songs in English better than the original versions is amazing
Not really surprising though tbh. Most people I've met of around my generation or younger in europe and asia speaks fluently english, and I would have been more surprised if they couldn't speak english. Being trilingual is like the norm in europe as far as I understand.
My daughter speaks English but she can sing in several different languages. As she has been in honor choirs since she was little. Now she just sings for pleasure.

Damn, Alexander Eder sounds EXACTLY like the original! Incredibly talented.
He is good however Alexander's voice is natural. Josh got the voice we know of today do to a legion being found on his vocal cord in 1996 that was fixed but changed his voice to what it is now and sealed the deal for his singing as he pointed out in a interview early in his singing career as a way to have people get checked for throat issues and for him to let the world know how he got his voice as he was all about being truthful and not hiding who he was. Both voices are wonderful

That's why I prefer this kind of blind audition because you won't tell anyone apart just by their appearance in first glance
Yeah, that's spot on. It's why the Voice is my fave, because at least it begins honestly.
Edit: now that I think about it, only the masked singer and alter ego are more honest in this way, making judges wait until they'd decided based on skill.

It also acquires extreme caution cuz it may damage your vocal chords they said, so i'm always amazed at people doing this screaming vocals esp for females :)

@@heidimobley4897 The judges, well, two of them at least, were too busy hamming it up for the cameras to be listening with any care. I don't know who is powerful in the music industry, but I do know when a prospect is performing, you listen...you don't talk.

I've absolutely loved singing ever since I was a small child. Yet I am absolutely floored by the children's ability to have SO much courage and confidence to get up there and do these types of auditions. It's all I've ever wanted, was to be able to even get on a stage like that without breaking out in anxiety crying.
