We’re Marianne and Chris, a married couple from the UK. After some life changing events we decided that life was just too short. We sold all our belongings, bought an old Campervan & rented our house to travel full time. The aim is to attempt to visit every country in the world in either our van or with a backpack. We started videoing our travels for our family and then decided it was a wonderful way to document and share our adventures.

Please be careful with that pan.
It's a tin-coated copper pan and it must be re-tin from time to time, otherwise the copper becomes poisonous.
If you see that the tin is peeled off, don't cook anything in it.
That comes from the old days when they used to use cyanide flux when tinning the copper which they don’t use any more.
Antique copper pans might be like this and have traces of cyanide.
But modern made pans are not dangerous 👍🏻👍🏻🙋♀️🤠

I don't know if anyone told you before but in Turkish 'Kahvaltı ' means breakfast and came from Kahve Altı (Before Coffee) :)
So after the Kahvaltı/Breakfast drinking coffee afterwards the breakfast is totally very very old Turkish tradition :) Afiyet olsun/Bon Appetit! Lovely! :)
I have to say I'm sitting down having a bowl of cereals watching you have a breakfast snack cooked for you which is always the best way very good tips and also very productive I'm good at voice I'm also I do have problems with tomatoes not good for my health love the look at them it's one of those things right now I would point my right arm off if I could be there just enjoying this the views and smell the sea and of course the fresh air but you have in Turkey in Alexa and yes I can just smell the coffee xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The special name for the "breakfast pan" is "SAHAN". For example, when you cook sunny side up in "sahan", it's called "sahanda yumurta / egg in sahan" or if you add anything more e.g. sucuk, it's called "sahanda sucuklu yumurta / egg in sahan with sucuk"

I love that you show so much food in detail. The food in Turkey is so good! You made me wish I was there eating that breakfast, so much so that I opened a jar of olives and ate them like sweets watching you make, test and taste. Yes the jams are yummy. I did manage to get a few jars home with me intact in my suitcase. What makes your videos so extra special is you being there at this point in time, with everywhere so deserted due the pandemic lockdowns. October 2019 when I was in Antalya that beachfront was so busy. Only at midnight walking there was it quiet, just a few guys playing basketball on a lit up public basketball court. The public spaces are so well developed and cared for, and you showed many times, bins and water stops everywhere. It's a wonderful country.

I can smell that coffee 😋 ⚠️ Please pay attention when using copper coffee pot and pan, do not scrape the bottom with metal spoon, use wooden or silicone spoon, spatula if possible. Also soak in water for cleaning, do not use a wire sponge inside. Anything cooked in copper will taste much better, but if the tin goes away, it can be dangerous.

Great Turkish breakfast !! Our VW van was a 67, last year of the splity as visited Antalya . Must be something about those lucky 7s in van years. Any thoughts of visiting the island of Cyprus , which is half Turkish owned ? Maybe there’s a car ferry from Antalya .

Yanınızdaki arkadaşlar türk'mü bilemedim. Türk kahvaltısında yumurta asla böyle pisirilmez. Tahin ve pekmez de ekmek ile karistirilmaz. Önce karıştırıp sonra ekmekle yenir. Çünkü pekmez aşağıda tahin yukarıda kalır. Türk kahveside tadına göre 1-2-3 kez kaynatilabilir

Hello from Germany! I really enjoy all your vlogs and we plan to visit turkey in May! Do you know if Tourist guides can still work during the weekends when there is a lockdown and curfews for turkish residents? :-) we are wondering if the balloons in Cappadocia are allowed to fly for example ♥️
My advice would be to contact directly through Insta or facebook the balloon companies to ask them - they will know what is happening as it happens 🌺
