Some worker at Wal-Mart accused me of taking a service dog in the weirdest way, she gave him a peice of jerky (with permission) and said in a baby voice "youre not working are you? Shes just faking it so she can bring you in *kissy noises*" I replied "he is working, im a male and you literally just saw us training?" I really enjoy watching your training videos ☺️ I’m training my Coonhound to be my diabetic alert service dog and she’s doing really well so far! I’ve also had her since she was 6 weeks old, she has some insecurities to strangers and still has a lot more work ahead of her but I hope she’s going to be just as fantastic as cloud in public, I haven’t brought her to any stores yet because I’m waiting on my service vest and patches, I did bring her to the fire department to let her meet some of the firefighters that weren’t busy and she did extremely well! She didn’t jump or lunge or bark, just stood there by my side and let them all greet her and pet her so she’s getting on the right track, I want her to be ok around those kind of people so she’s not afraid if something happens to me and the paramedics or firefighters or police need to get to us
You can start bringing your coonhound to pet friendly places without a lot of distractions. It is not a requirement for her to have a vest on according to the law.
Taking her on a run with a bike before training would surely help with a high energy working breed such as a Siberian Husky, especially if they are timid and nerves around strangers. That's the biggest issue people have with training high energy working breeds they try training without burning off the energy first. It helps I have owned five Siberian Huskies at a time. Even if they are mellow for their breed and they don't show it on the outside their mind is still firing off crazy signals, :). I laugh when owners say I did take her for a walk, but a walk is a waste of time they need to run lol. I'm sure you know this, but for people that don't hope it helps. Cloud is definitely a beauty queen, she is one of, if not the prettiest SH's I have ever seen!
I'm so glad I've found your videos i live in the UK but looking into an assistance dog if i get my diagnosis and they will be owner trained so i can focus on what I need but not sure who i would train them but this is only the second video of yours ive watched but already they have helped me in case i can get one later

I have cerebral palsy . I also have balance issues and anxiety, plus i can get overwhelmed when It’s loud. I even have anxiety when i am a lone sometimes. I am training a least one of my 6 month old Tibetan mastiff puppies to help me with balance but more to help with my anxiety . Hopefully by next September at least one will be trained.
Just curious. Did she pass the public access test with that anxiety towards strangers? She's gorgeous by the way! Great job with your training! How is she now?

I'm looking in to training my dog as a service dog. that is how i came across your videos. I've already learned a lot, just want to know where did you register her and get her vest.
Just so you know, at least here in the US not sure where you're located, but service dogs do not require any type of papers or registration. Anything you see online that states otherwise is a scam trying to get your money. A service dog must only be tasked trained to mitigate their handlers disability and behave well in public.

I would recommend taking cloud to pet friendly locations without a lot of people until she overcomes her anxiety for new people. I do agree that she needs to work on her heel. I do not have an in training patch on Freja because I chose not to put one on her. I wanted her to feel like a real service dog and keep the training private. It is not a requirement in Washington to have an in training patch on your service dog. Just ignore people and focus on cloud’s training. I would not let anybody feed your dog during training. A lot of people are owner training their service dogs because they cannot afford the training or have resources to get into classes. Try looking into positive dog training classes at your local Petco or Petsmart to work on the basic service training. I did that with Freja when she was four months old.

Whenever I’m having bad anxiety or a panic attack I’ll scratch myself really hard and sometimes cut myself doing it I don’t even realize I’m doing it. So cloud alerts to it.
I know this sounds weird but when I started training my SD I let people pet her and give her loves every once in a while...you should do this with cloud and see if anything changes?! My SD knows that she is not supposed to have pets from people anymore because she’s not in the beginning of her training anymore!☺️ if cloud is willing to be pet by people and not show aggression or anxiety with people, you should try it😊
