i am from Puntland state. we suffered a lot under siad barre military rule, but we can't break away and destroy the land. USA states killed each other yet they are the strongest country today. because a bad leader killed you, you can't break away. Somali land is literally every region of somalia because it belongs to somali. north west regions were called British Somali-land to distinguish it from the other part that was held by italians called italian somali land. there is nothing unique about somali-land as a name due to that history. as for been separate from somalia, that is not true. somalia was not made 2 by the british and italians and french. somalia was one and they came to split up the land during their stay, and that border between colonies is invalid as the country is liberated it goes back to the one country it was before colony came.
more over somalis are tribal and half of somali land regions don't want to break away and wants to remain with their brothers somalia. the awdal region which is most furthest somali land region wants to remain in somalia. sool and sanag regions don't wanna break away and claim to be part of somalia. so quit this nonesense of confusing the international people with this is somali land and not somalia.. than call it isaaq land . puntland and kismayo and mogadishu are all somali land as well.
