Myles Kennedy is in a class of his own when it comes to his vocals, but Mark Tremonti is the man. He can shred and shred and keep on shredding. I saw these guys live in early 2005. I had no idea who they were. After they played 1 song, the entire place was in compete awe. These guys had to follow Mudvayne. Everyone who came to see Mudvayne, me included, sat down once Mudvayne left the stage. Then these guys walked out and played "Find the Real". My God, it was amazing. Myles was up there with something to prove and Tremonti, well, he didn't want to disappoint. By the end of their set, everyone in the crowd was cheering for an encore. But it was a festival, so they were only slotted for so much time. Myles apologized and told everyone where they were playing next so if you wanted to hear their entire set you could come. He walked back stage and asked if they could play one more, but he came back out and said they told him "No.", after he relayed this info to the crowd we all booed, but it did nothing. So, Tremonti did a quick solo in an attempt to appease the crowd, and then Myles said goodnight. We all gave a roaring applause and sat back down. Then some talentless hacks came out and everyone went to the concessions or to take a piss. It was bizarre. But they did sell a lot of CD's that day I can assure you of that. Because besides the new Mudvayne CD I did purchase the Alter Bridge CD as well. I think that tour sold those records for them. Because they were the best band I saw that day.
That's great, man!! I felt your emotion in every word. Can I ask you what festival was or where? Thank you alot for sharing your experience. Sad that I can't see them play live 'till this day :'(
Well I saw them around 2008 when they toured with Disturbed and POD , A.B we’re ok , Disturbed we’re great 👍🏻 but I felt POD put on the best show of the night ! 🎉
I love how they aren't flashy. They aren't "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M ON STAGE". They are humble, and all of them are all around very nice people, and even more so, Talented and inspiring musicians.
every time i hear this song i cant help but cry. i love it so much, it reminds me of my grandfather that passed away 6 years before i was born. i never meet him but one day i will and this song just proves that someday I too will fly and find him.
this song has become an integral part of my playlist. i listen to this song EVERYDAY! and on the day grandma passed away, i was in the office, crying while listening to this song for 8 hours.
This is in my opinion the top band performing in the world today. Classical sounds that will be played for years to come and these archival videos will be set for future generations...that's how unique and artistically delivered the Bands, Harmony is Given to their audiance, both are captured together in the sound and expression!
did anyone noticed that the acoustic intro that he had played in this concert before starting the main song, is from the beatle's song called 'Blackbird'? :)
When they went to SLC while on a tour, there were just 114 people is the house that day, still they played with the same intensity as they play before thousands of people...one of the traits I like about AB...Simplicity! Unlike Axl Rose of G&R ;)
Maybe this song might change my mind about the Creed versus Alter bridge because Scott Tapp still has a potion and feel that's hard to match (and this is not to mock what Alter Bridge stands for) They have one thing in COMMON "Mark Tremonti" and he certainly is one of the guitar gods
This song is very deep, it transmits something that makes me keep listening to it time after time. Guitar, drums, bass, voice.. everythings is perfect in this song. i loved it
The ratio of likes to dislikes right now is 197.6 (1186 to 6). Those six people should feel ashamed, because no one with a heart should dislike this song. Ever. Absolute masterpiece.
Damn, even the solos can make you cry, this song is what we call a masterpiece.
Gteesma I agree. The song as a whole gives me goosebumps
Yes it is.
Gteesma the solos are whey I came here. So good

If they led with Find the Real, Tremonti murdered it. That song has so many sweet licks on the guitar.
Great post brother

I love Mark's face when he plays guitar. Shows its just a passion for him. He has to be my favourite metal/rock guitarist out there at the moment.
This song is just 8 minutes of Epicness.

I love how they aren't flashy. They aren't "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M ON STAGE". They are humble, and all of them are all around very nice people, and even more so, Talented and inspiring musicians.

I am certain that Alter Bridges live performance in Amsterdam was one of the greatest live performances ever. Thats just my opinion though.
