Myles has mentioned in interviews that his early AB performances are the hardest for him to watch because he had no idea what to do with his hands. I can see what he means lol. He's still my favorite vocalist. he's fucking incredible.
It's a shame the record label restrained a great guitar player like Myles on One Day Remains. It was a good record but thank God they left because otherwise the rest of the records wouldn't have been nearly as good
Actually I read somewhere in an interview that Tremonti didn't really knew how great of a guitar player Myles was, until one day he heared him play on a bus while on tour, so he asked him to play guitar from then on.
@@mariomadriz I swear Mark said it was when Myles was with him for a little bit in a hotel room or something & he was gonna go out for dinner & was going to ask Myles if he wantd to come and heard jazz music and was stunned it was Myles playing guitar.
Awesome. I saw them in this same tour in the Gulf Coast Coliseum Convention Center in Mississippi. I was stunned that they weren't playing the actual Coliseum itself. Now to see how far they've come, selling out Wembley, Recording with a live orchestra. We're lucky to have witnessed all this. Cheers.
Myles must have been struggling with a cold - I have seen him give his all, no matter how awlful he feels. He is my favorite vocalist. AB doesn't have the luxury of canceling a show when they are sick - the show will go on. Thank God 2008 has been a better health tour for them, especially with the world putting Myles under the microscope because of Led Zeppelin. Nice quality video, well shot - too bad it wasn't an "A game night" as Myles would say. We love Alter Bridge you guys stay healthy!
My favorite song is Blackbird. Me and my son Wesley Carter started calling each other Burd because of this song "Blackbird. Me and Wesley is very close. He's just gotten back from Germany and I miss him so much...LOVE YOU BURD AND I LOVE ALTERBRIGE
I remember not being allowed to go to this gig because of parents, I then bought a ticket to see them in portsmouth and stayed there for the night, couldn't miss my favourite band!
Wow, I have only seen one live recording of this song, and it was acoustic. Loved that version as well, but this is so bad ass! One of their best songs! And the lyrics are so true to the life of someone on the road.
My favorite thing about this song is(other than the awsome guitar work by Tremonti) Is the lyrics. There are so many hangover songs out there, but this one is different. I like the fact the the bulk of the song focuses on geting past the darkness and into the light.
lol, this is one of the only times I've seen Myles not in total control of his voice, he was probably sick... Seems like he's sick very often lol! Still sounded amazing, I don't know how he does it!
Oh totally, flu or another thing. Sorry for answer 7 year later hahaha. Ah, in fact, years later He recognize much practice of bell canto, and natural medicine for this cases before concerts.
As much as I love Mark's voice, I'm so bummed Myles won't be singing this when I see them next month. This is one of my favorites, because of the high notes and the emotion Myles sings with. Oh well. Maybe next tour?
everytime I listen to any of their songs my reaction is the same "FUCK they're amazing" ;time after time I get kicked in the stomach and I get eargasm from Myles voice and the music itself (guitars ain't my favorite instrument but FUCK FUCK FUCK Tremonti
To the bloke below. The only time i heard this song live was at the festival appearence with only one albums material. So he's right. Its a shame, its my favourite song. Especially the break down! - means so much!
So agree with you, i'm a French fan, and i find it curious too that Creed is bigger than Alter bridge in the US, i wish you to see AB in live if it's not already done. sorry for my english ;)
He seems out of practice here. He sounds good, but you can hear some strain near the highest notes. His time off probably was the cause. Now I'd say his technique is at the best it's ever been.
This music represents so deeply what I'm feeling right now. The other ones brings me so much peace. It's my dream to see them live, my ears pray for this moment. And I know it'll not be a dream for so much long. If they won't come, I will go to wherever they are. I love them so much.
regardless if myles' is drunk or not, he still pulls off an amazing performance... I would like to see anyone else drunk sing THIS good, and better yet remember the lyrics.... Alter Bridge is the best out there right now....
The really weird noise comes from the flicking of the tremolo bar (whammy bar) so that is vibrates. Its like taking a plastic spoon and press it down on the edge of the table and flicking it.
@immortalgrant myles is doing a solo album until the end of the creed tour then its the new alter bridge album probably out fall of 2010 i presume cant wait haha
@dmavs1892 As the song tells about alcohol addiction, it would be ironic. It's autobiographyc, but in the sense that he had to cope with addicted people in his life, and that experience left a sign on him. Plus, after dealing with Stapp -who stepped on stage completely wasted more than once- I don't think the guys would have let Myles on stage if he was drunk, even if that meant kicking his butt. True, he's not at his best here, but he rather sounds like he hasn't warmed up, that's all.
The rawness of this is better than the “technically perfect” era of Myles imo. Yeah the pitch isn’t perfect but the timbre is there, nowadays it’s flipped.
doesnt have the same magic for me when its live. i adore the album version. his voice just...cant even explain it. theres something to his voice. but fuck, its still alter bridge so YEAH MAN!! great video btw. awesome sound!
@sundeadgone Actually Mark Tremonti is playing his signiture PRS guitar. To my knowledge he dosn't even own a Les Paul Guitar. Still he is awsome! In my personal apenion Mark is the best Guitarist of the 21st century(if not the best of all time)!
Awesome! Although I felt that Myles may not have been feeling a 100% coz his voice seemed a little hoarse. Must be the flu. But kudos to him coz he still performed awesome. On another note, Mark is a monster on the guitar!
And I think this is their most underrated song. This song rules.
The end is here
Love this song 🎵 ❤
Shed My Skin
agreed!!
The band at a whole is so underrated
Myles has come such a long way to the point that he is now a rock legend. Amazing!
He's still not recognised as he should be
Myles has mentioned in interviews that his early AB performances are the hardest for him to watch because he had no idea what to do with his hands. I can see what he means lol. He's still my favorite vocalist. he's fucking incredible.

Jack Marshall I guess it’s the same story, just a different version lol
Shane Lucas
lol I see it too.
My Dad went to this gig and it was the first time he saw AB live, Came home and told me about how amazing it was and converted me ahah
Cheers.
Your dad is amazing!
Thanks son
This is beautifully raw. Myles might have been far from the singing abilities he possesses today, but that power in his voice, damn.
B Side tracks to Blackbird is some of his best performances.
Myles is best singer of this era hands down to...not to mention HOT
2:52 how he hits that note like that even though his voice is strained and he's sick is astonishing.
Love Mark Tremonti's playing. He's only gotten better with age.
it's really hard to find burn it down live , thanks for this video dude
That little cawing in his voice makes this shit real and so fucking great! I love that so much!!!
Fuck myles has the best voice ive ever heard fuckin amazing
Myles must have been struggling with a cold - I have seen him give his all, no matter how awlful he feels. He is my favorite vocalist.

Easily one of his best performances to date
...what a man. What a voice. What a talent.
Completely have to agree with you. Brian is such an amazing Bassist :D
My favorite thing about this song is(other than the awsome guitar work by Tremonti) Is the lyrics. There are so many hangover songs out there, but this one is different. I like the fact the the bulk of the song focuses on geting past the darkness and into the light.
Really digging this video and all of Myles moves with the microphone stand.
Incredible. This band can play live like no other!
I love this version! Very cool.
Best singer in the world.
best song ive ever heard by the best band ever
this is PERFECT crystal clear sound!!!
lol, this is one of the only times I've seen Myles not in total control of his voice, he was probably sick... Seems like he's sick very often lol! Still sounded amazing, I don't know how he does it!

Agreed. But Mark nailed the vocals and Myles played a great guitar solo. Ended up being one of the highlights of the show.
just great, nothing else to add, i love myles kennedy...
I love this song. It is so inspiring!!
Great Band, one of the best modern day rock bands today although there isn't much to compare to nowadays
The live version is even more incredible than the studio one! They're so talented
Myles was high as fuck! Haha
+Luciano Panizza Leigh He actually hasn't touched drugs since his Mayfield Four days. He says it's not his thing.
Luciano Panizza Leigh - haha, slightly
i love it when the bass and drums first start
This song is amazing, Miles' voice is amazing!!!!!
I'll thank forever my friend for having made me listen to 'em
Alter Bridge Rock :)
the final solo is AMAZING

everytime I listen to any of their songs my reaction is the same "FUCK they're amazing" ;time after time I get kicked in the stomach and I get eargasm from Myles voice and the music itself (guitars ain't my favorite instrument but FUCK FUCK FUCK Tremonti

Myles....I love this guy:)
Great song...spectacular concert, A band of the present that traslateme to the past....incredible!!
To the bloke below. The only time i heard this song live was at the festival appearence with only one albums material. So he's right.
Its a shame, its my favourite song. Especially the break down! - means so much!

What Mark is doing with this song on vocals in todays shows is epic...just as epic as this song
EPIC solo by master mark tremonti...
God, this solo is so awesome.
Una joya este video! ;) ... Simply Amazing!
He seems out of practice here. He sounds good, but you can hear some strain near the highest notes. His time off probably was the cause. Now I'd say his technique is at the best it's ever been.
It's because he was sick, with the flu or a cold.
perfect performance
Love this song!
Awesome! I'm a big fan! Hugs from Brazil
Absolutely great!
great video.....thanks
Fuck! I've cried! This voice is AMAZING!

The quality is perfect! \o/
Please, post the full show!
Just love it ❤️
omg the sound of this recording is perfect! What camera did you use?
Hell yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AB RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the song, when I first heard it I knew kennedy was as good as cornell, just different. Nothing beats Chris' tone and distortion though.
The beast solo...
The really weird noise comes from the flicking of the tremolo bar (whammy bar) so that is vibrates. Its like taking a plastic spoon and press it down on the edge of the table and flicking it.
@immortalgrant
myles is doing a solo album until the end of the creed tour then its the new alter bridge album probably out fall of 2010 i presume
cant wait haha
It's weird seeing Myles without a guitar now! He looks a bit sorta lost without it too.
nice mark!
best cell phone sound i ever heard.
Can't imagine it's the audio from the camera😂 it's too good
They were in my town before i heard about them so i missed them noooooooooooo :'(
@dmavs1892 As the song tells about alcohol addiction, it would be ironic.

THAT SOLO!!
bellissima..
Fucking love this song 'nd solo.
this voice... so hard^^
The rawness of this is better than the “technically perfect” era of Myles imo. Yeah the pitch isn’t perfect but the timbre is there, nowadays it’s flipped.
i envy all of them
doesnt have the same magic for me when its live. i adore the album version. his voice just...cant even explain it. theres something to his voice. but fuck, its still alter bridge so YEAH MAN!! great video btw. awesome sound!

What is that scratchy effect on the solo? damn!
Full show?
Awesome! Although I felt that Myles may not have been feeling a 100% coz his voice seemed a little hoarse. Must be the flu. But kudos to him coz he still performed awesome. On another note, Mark is a monster on the guitar!
young Myles remember me a young Robert Plant. Just saying
+Marcos Menezes "young" Myles was in his mid 30s...
....da qui a Robert Plant... c'è né ancora parecchia di strada...
