Any time a cartoon has an episode that revolves around characters who never appeared before, you can tell it's going to be a very special episode.
It’s an example on what not to do. And the character suffers some extreme consequences hence why they’re never shown again.

This aired on Thursday when most of us were watching the Cosby Show on NBC. I remember flipping back and forth between both programs that night 😂
This movie was the real series finale to "The Flintstone Kids". But with Frank Welker as Dino instead of Mel Blanc, due to the fact he had retired from voicing in 1988.

I remember this episode and when I was little I didn't get it but I learn it meant drugs, alcohol and smoking will be harmful to your health and its no worth it if you end up living a short life.
This must be the most 80s thing I watched my whole life. The only way this could’ve been more 80s was if Mr T and Alf showed up rapping about saying no to drugs.
In the Stone Age drugs would be considered a spiritual experience.

3:07 One of the best animations in the special. Stony's walk is surprisingly Disney-like when he's on the bad stuff.
During that time, Wang Film Productions started working with Disney on "DuckTales," so I'm betting one of the animators working on that show did Stony's bit there.

I Love Watching Flintstones Kids as a kid
I remember this airing on a Thursday night back in 1988 at 8 pm on ABC. I terribly miss cartoons from the 1980s and even the 90s with a PSA at the end. Back then, we had programs that steered kids away from crime and told them to stay away from drugs. Today, it's a complete 360 in the wrong direction. We need these days and times ⏲️ back more than ever!
They put it up against a show starring a guy who gave pills to women to get them into bed with him. Hilarious!

One of the main reasons that kids get into drugs is because they think it makes them cool. Whenever I think of these anti-drug commercials, I honestly don't think that they helped kids at all. Can you imagine this scenario?
"Hey, we're going to try some marijuana? Are you in?"
"No thanks. I don't take drugs!"
"Really? You're a dork! Why don't you just try it?"
"Well, because The Flintstone Kids taught me that it's bad!"

There are many things that young people used to see and hear and do all the time that people nowadays think is going to mess them up for the rest of their lifes but if they could experience those things in the past and grew up to become normal adults then why would it harm them now?
They still experience those things all the time in the rest of the world its only the west that has become so overprotective and sensitive.
