@@kimmccabe1422 Absolutely, that would be great idea. I believe there should be custom-made pools where caves are constructed, while allowing control over water flow and drainage for student training. That way if there was an issue you could quickly drain a section or even create air pockets that have a supply of fresh air. The available cave diving courses are excellent. PADI, as far as I know, offers only a Cavern Diving course (not fully enclosed overhead and there will be natural light). In contrast, SSI provides a superb and intensive Cave Diving course. Some individuals taking this course might not even receive a certification if they are up to course standards. Especially with cave if they cannot manage task saturation at that level, it’s sure death. My plan is to become a Cave Diver, but that's years away - involving dozens of courses and thousands of dives, aha. I wouldn’t even consider taking the course until I've obtained every other diving certification. Also, that was a great analogy regarding the training of pilots.
@@kimmccabe1422 The "simulator"... starts with all the line work outside of the cave, then it moves into the daylight / cavern aka where you can still see natural light. Ed Sorensen is an icon in the world of caves and cave diving. He is one of the world's best. And his skill level is unmatched. But what also makes him so effective is his extreme care and awareness of danger and thinking about it before it happens. Ed Sorensen is humble and doesn't have the mindset of the divers he was rescuing which is "don't tell me anything because I know it all already". He is so far from that mindset. And it's because of that, his skills are so great and why he is still alive. Sometimes ed rescues the rescuers.
You gotta respect the Dominican authorities for being simultaneously pitiless and yet also compassionate in their resolve to this whole situation. It’s not always easy to do the responsible thing when it’s generally the unpopular but necessary decision.
I'm finding it difficult to find the compassion in putting such a tight deadline, causing the rescuers to have to rush their plans and possibly but their lives at risk as well. I do see the pitiless part..

theme that keeps replaying in these disasters is that these "divers" are reckless, arrogant and way out of their depth or experience. They put the real divers at risk , just to recover their bodies ! I say leave them down there. anyone who dives in a cave should know that you have a huge chance of never coming out. Diving is dangerous enough, caving is dangerous enough ! Combine the two ... well, here's what happens to people like this !
They ignored signage that was posted down there telling them to “stop to avoid their death” and they kept going . Signage might have well posted something like “this is the end of your life basically” . But then again what does it matter, some Humans just want to die but they keep it to themselves .

It's so sad that people (cavers) are so mesmerized by such places they're willing to throw their lives away to reach areas most people aren't brave enough to get into. I can partially understand the happiness of being one of the few people to ever be inside El Dudu sinkhole but even then that's simply not worth it. It reminds of a similar tragedy that happened in the neighboring country of Haiti in the Le peapea Lake.

Those rescue divers have ELEPHANT BALLS!! Mike and Edd. Very brave men! Thank you for recovering these bodies, so loved ones can have them placed in peace, where they can visit. ❤️
Happy thanksgiving MrDeified! I’m thankful for your stories!

These rescue drivers are absolutely prime experts.
I also have great respect for SAR teams and people who seek for disappeared individuals in cold cases.
Bro you have the best voice for these ominous stories!! I don’t know how to describe it, you just do. Much love
I honestly dont want to think about being alone in the dark and run out of oxygen, the thought alone shivers me timbers.
If I were a LIMITED experience cave diver , and I came across a sign bearing a SKULL and CROSSBONES ,with the words etched in between DO NOT ENTER THIS CAVE OR YOU WILL DIE , I would drop an " EL DUDU " in my bathing suit , turn around and get the hell out of there .
All caves tend to have a warning so thats normal
Those rescue divers are incredibly brave and heroic.
They were not cave divers. They were divers who went into caves. If your going to do it do it the right way and take the course. Only way to become and STAY a cave diver. RIP
Yes. I always believed they should go thru a simulater, like pilots do, to learn all kinds if trouble they can get into and therefore, have it be second nature how to get out of it BEFORE BECOMING CERTIFIED! Jus a thought..

@@eustab.anas-mann9510 How the hell did the grammar police get this wrong? They must be like the regular police, enforcing rules they don't actually understand. Spelling is not part of grammar, bro.
At least that's how my training went.
Like many things you build experience in benign conditions, locations and slowly build both experience and qualifications
Happy Thanksgiving, Mr Deified.

Thanks giving upload, awesome ! Happy thanksgiving everyone. Happy to spend another year blessed with loved ones
@@justkim9827 if they didn't put the restriction it will encourage more cave divers from around the world to try it for themselves to get the bodies out. I can't believe you can't see a big picture that the government is trying to save other peoples life from dying a horrible way. It is not also good for the authorities to let so called PRO to just do as they please ending in their deaths. The world doesn't just run around these experts my guy learn to see the big picture ok
they probably bribed them lmao
Sad but after being clearly warned to get more training due to the danger and inexperience, having a shrugging it off know it all won't happen to me attitude makes it hard to feel bad about it

Haha, Dudu!
Lol
Was it deep Dudu?
Exploring real tight caves, dry caves, can be very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing...underwater caves are something even worse.
These people are irresponsible about their own lives and also risk the lives of the rescuers who go in to save what's left of them.
Okay at this point you're not showing any respect 😊

What does goat mean? Obviously not the animal.
GOAT is an acronym for, Greatest of All Time

I love your channel so much and I mean absolutely zero disrespect to the victims, but I definitely clicked instantly to hear you say: "El Dudu."
Many of us are likely only exposed to the cave diving tragedies, yet I feel it’s possible we’re more aware of what can go wrong than many actual divers. They certainly wouldn’t listen to any of us. We non-diving UA-cam cave diver enthusiasts would have to be the biggest buzzkill if we happened upon the start of a cave dive on vacation or something: “okay then, go ahead like the carlos’s, see if I care!” -“excuse me, who are you?” 😂
"Get Ed Sorensen."
"Why? Is he slim?"
"No. He's built like a Viking. But he's an expert apparently"

Imagine dying in something called El Dudu, my soul would probably die twice

Ed is special- I hope he’s able to pass on his skills and abilities to then next generation of divers. What he does requires more than physical ability. There’s a unique level of mental fitness that’s required for someone to ‘dive’ into risky situations as a rescuer and make it out alive!
Ed is my new fp. What an intriguing man. His vibe is captivating, giving safe.
He's awesome. He responded to me on his channel, said come stop by his shop anytime to say hi. I was more excited by this than any celebrity could ever make me lol.

I am a diver and I agree. I prefer a nice coral reef or rock formation in the open water. I also don't chase depth. Plenty of interesting fish to see between 16 and 25m (although I'm certified to 40 for safety reasons).

theme that keeps replaying in these disasters is that these "divers" are reckless, arrogant and way out of their depth or experience. They put the real divers at risk , just to recover their bodies ! I say leave them down there. anyone who dives in a cave should know that you have a huge chance of never coming out. Diving is dangerous enough, caving is dangerous enough ! They ignored signage that was posted down there telling them to “stop to avoid their death” and they kept going . It's so sad that people (cavers) are so mesmerized by such places they're willing to throw their lives away to reach areas most people aren't brave enough to get into. I can partially understand the happiness of being one of the few people to ever be inside El Dudu sinkhole but even then that's simply not worth it.
