I used to leave the SNES on so I could listen to this all day as I did homework or chores. Chrono Trigger is like my original lofi playlist. This hit my nostalgia HARD. Great performance and excellent mix, Kara! 🙏👆
I missed this one back in 95 : ( 2015 came around and I was like... Ya know what? Time to see what I missed. Got a copy on ebay for 120 bucks lol. Pricey! Now they are closer to 300! Best choice in gaming I ever made. Funny how this game is still wayyyyyy better than most games today haha.
One of my favorites on the soundtrack of CT. The melody is haunting and nostalgic but a tinge of sadness mixed in. My late mother always enjoyed the tunes of CT such as this one, so I can’t help but think of her too when I hear them, especially this one.
Back in 1996 I had a tape recorder (ask your parents) and I would record mix tapes off the TV of the Chrono Trigger music so I could listen to them on the go. Some of the best music of all time, let alone game music. Yasunori Mitsuda, thank you for writing such beautiful music to inspire us! Kara, thank you for the great arrangement and performance!
This is probably still my favorite song from Chrono Trigger. I remember when I played this game for the first time on emulator back in the early 2000's and how blown away I was by this song, the first time I got to 600 AD, it simply fits perfectly into the atmosphere of that time period and gives an almost indescribable sense of mystery (I also LOVE the 'world map' music in 2300 AD and how well it captures the destruction and misery of that time period). I got pretty far in CT back then and then I forgot to make a backup of my save files before I cleared the hard drive and reinstalled Windows and I was so sad (and annoyed) when I knew that I had to start over, which I never did until last summer when I bought Chrono Trigger on Steam (and finished it) and when I was playing it, I was like, "I used to think that this game is even better than FF7 (finished FF7 back in 1999), but now I feel like this game is the best game I've ever played all categories! 😬" FF7 was the best game I had ever played for quite a long time. I have only finished it once and I haven't played the remake yet. Great cover as usual Kara! ❤👏🏻
After hearing all of your FF6 arrangements and now Chrono Trigger I'd totally love to get your interpretation of the Terranigma soundtrack. If you don't know that title you should consider listening to the OST, it came out on the SNES but never released in NA for some weird reasons which is why it's infamous outside of America alone for its stunning soundtrack.
Willy is right, I have a ton of Terranigma on my Twitch songlist!! twitch.tv/karacomparetto. You can also check out the songlist here :) www.streamersonglist.com/t/karacomparetto/songs
absolute magnificent to perfection, nailed it to the classic in perfect harmony and identically with one piece of equipment, breathtaking simulation thank you.
Hopefully the big one (the full soundtrack I mean) will be premiered in a day and hour I can attend XD Wanna hear how great it sounds with both instruments!
i remember listening to you play yearnings of the wind years ago when you released that cover and would always revisit it as my favorite rendition of the tune. happy to still be hearing you play all this time later kara, you really are amazing!
This is absolutely TERRIFIC! Very much performed in the same loving spirit of the original orchestration, but with the added touch of crisp visuals and audible harmonics through and through! 🙌😎 The Ending of this piece was PERPETUALLY PERFECT too!
Lovely performance, and the Marle and Lucca costumes are great too! It's exciting you are doing a CD release of the full OST, and I look forward to hearing the harpsichord in some of the other songs. I really appreciate hearing different arrangements/performances of the CT OST, so thank you for putting in all the work and love to make this project a reality. Great job!
Ms. Kara is not only a great looker, but more importantly, she is a very talented musician. Her piano playing is very beautiful and conveys the charm and emotion of vintage game music in a way that will enchant people.
omg Kara! This is one of my favourite video game music pieces! I had requested it from you years ago and you did make your old video of it following my request! This version is even better!!!! I love the Lucca cosplay! :P
@@KaraComparetto Different! The first one was awesome too!! I would LOVE to hear Sparkles and/or Nandemonaiya from the movie Kimi no na wa. (If you haven't seen it, btw, grab a box of tissues and watch that now!!!)
This Nu sleeps outside the flow of time... but is definitely enjoying the music, the same as all of us! Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us and taking us away to Far Away Times!
Even though I never played Chrono Trigger, my father used to (and still does) play its soundtrack while we were in the car, or even at home, and I've heard these pieces so many times it hits like nostalgia now. That's an amazing rendition of the song, and makes me want to complete it on piano too (I've started to play it a couple of years ago, but just switched to other songs and never really came back to it).
Wow. As always I'm awestruck by your talent. The pipe organ is fascinating with how you have to manage two rows of keys with your hands, and play with your feet at the same time. This piece sounds lovely, it brings back great memories of a fantastic game!
Fantastic performance. I'm looking forward to this album! I admire your dedication... Not many people would install an entire organ in their homes just for a UA-cam video! :-P
I used string stops, such as violone and viola D'amore, any string stop would work really! I think I also may have added a diapason to the pedal line. We're working on a book of my arrangements which will be available in a few months, and there will be specifics on all this stuff in there!
I was very curious to see how you handled this one.. will you dress up as Ayla to do the percussion part with a tiny tambourine shake and two drum sticks clicking together? Will you dress up as Marle for one layer of pipe organ and princess Leena for the second layer of pipe organ to fill it out.. In some ways your version is far warmer than the 32 bit version that was piercing at high volume (I would always turn up the tv for CT) but, it was also .. aww heck, I'm sure you know.. It was fantastic I loved it! It certainly takes me back to when I was but a whee laddie! Thanks for sharing your talents Kara!
haha yes I do know XD I was aiming for an arrangement that would reflect what this piece would sound like if it was played acoustically but still sound like the original. I'm glad you thought it worked!!
My 2 preferred themes are secret of the forest and at the Bottom of the Night. Those 2 are just masterpieces that takes me back to a different time and world.
I used to leave the SNES on so I could listen to this all day as I did homework or chores. Chrono Trigger is like my original lofi playlist. This hit my nostalgia HARD. Great performance and excellent mix, Kara! 🙏👆
Same except FF7 😂
And then put on some 'Undersea Palace' to study for the finals
Same here, my go to was corridors of time from 12000 bc

was 11 i think when i finished it it.French reading english.
It's the best song from the whole game! Getting to the 600 AD world map for the first time hit different.
This sounds so much better without the terrible snes compression. Music to my ears. Great work.
Guardia Millenial Fair, then 600AD and next week's Secret of the Forest is really a great set of themes.
As soon as i heard the first dew notes, GOOSEBUMPS! Nostalgia train
I work that day but I’m definitely taking an early break just to listen to the premier
Yay! See you then Brandon :)
You just threw me back more than 20 years ago, thanks for your work Kara.

Kara Comparetto is a gem, in this strange world...
Thank you so much, Miss Comparetto.
Looking forward to it! Now I wanna play Chrono Trigger... again haha
Me too.
Do it! It's the most epic video game adventure of all time!
I never played Chrono Trigger, but I've heard this piece covered enough to consider it iconic. Can't wait to hear Kara's cover, it's gonna be great!
I hope you love it!! :) and you really need to play the game!! 😂
it's a top tier jrpg, second only to chrono cross in my opinion.
Definitely play it, I have done multiple playthrough even after completing all the endings
Piling on. Please play this game. It's even available on mobile platforms!
It's a Toriyama game... With the best scoring. And ZERO HEAVY exposition drops. Rare for jrpgs. Just fun, like DragonBall Z.
All life begins with Nu and ends with Nu - thank you for sharing a piece of your hearth & talent with us! 👏👏👏👏

Hahah that is so cool!! I’m not too young for a tape recorder ;)
What a serene rendition~
My favorite tune of the game!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
How beautiful it is to have this accompany my morning and days to come.
Beautiful, Nostalgic and well played! great!
La música de Chrono Trigger es arte ✨
Gracias por hacer estos covers tan hermosos✨😊 Tienes un talento increíble ✨
Just stunning, Kara!!
Wish I could play like you. So beautiful, Thank you 👏🏻
Magnificent truly beautiful 😍 Thank you Kara
fantastic job with that organ.
Beatutiful :)
Love that you use the Organ, it is just so defying for the Super Nintendo Music.
Wonderful production as usual
This is just GREAT. I treasure rearranges that are so well done as this one is. Thanks for the hard work...and the nostalgia. ;)

I cant describe how much i love this song. Thanks for this great version!
Absolutely amazing
This album is going to be a true masterpiece. You make me want to play the game for at least the 20th time!
I love to hear that!!
I will vouch for it, the album is a masterpiece.
Thanks Kara! awesome as always!
Beautifully done Kara! Bravo!
I remember commuting about 40 mins almost 30yrs ago (yikes!) to rent this SNES game just to listen the music because it had “something”

She's been playing many pieces from Terranigma on Twitch, she even loved playing Evergreen! Try to join us sometime :)
@@wguardia2709 oh whaaaat? Okay, I'll definitely check it out, thanks for telling me :) Evergreen is such a lovely piece

Thanks Kara, you're a ray of light! Really nice performance and look. I must admit that the piano part always touch my heart deeper.
WOOOW! And a Marle and Lucca cosplay! AND A CROCHET NU! Masterful performance as usual Kara! Bravo!
HAHAH the Nu is awesome :)
absolute magnificent to perfection, nailed it to the classic in perfect harmony and identically with one piece of equipment, breathtaking simulation thank you.
Thank you Jeremy!!
This music is my favorite, when you play it sounds so magical, can't stop the nostalgic and emotional feeling
Wow! You really nailed this one Kara!
That was so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
It's like this piece was made for piano and organ! Awesome arrangement and performance!
I feel the same!!
Hopefully the big one (the full soundtrack I mean) will be premiered in a day and hour I can attend XD
Wanna hear how great it sounds with both instruments!
❤❤❤😊
This is one of the best song for relaxing. My mind is so calm now. Thanks for your talent and so good music 😇

I like a lot your new multi instruments covers
So happy you've chose to do this song again
This is the best arrangement yet for organ and piano. Very nice
This is absolutely TERRIFIC!
Very much performed in the same loving spirit of the original orchestration, but with the added touch of crisp visuals and audible harmonics through and through! 🙌😎

These really are wonderful to listen to :)
Enjoying the digital version of the album too! So good.
Yay!! yeah the tracks only get better don't they?! :)

Simply beautiful. Thank you.
Yes! Better than I imagined. Thank you!
I guess you could say that this scene just... blew me away. So well done, Kara! Thank you!

Beautiful work.
I will never not love Chrono Trigger music. Also I'm really glad this came across my feed. Subscribed ages ago, but forgot to hit the bell icon. 😶

Very nice, love it.
Very excellent! Thank you for this arrangement!
Absolutely fantastic!!! So wonderful to see my favorite game of all time's music in this way!!
Oh and fantastic outfits too!
Oh wow! That rendition is so good. Perfect balance between the piano and organ! Thanks for sharing Kara! Blake2.
Thank you-- Alain!! :P
Accompaniment on the Pedals of the organ sounds so good.
it's so light and graceful matching the mood of the piece perfectly. brilliant. keep up the Jimmy collabs!!!
i love chrono trigger :) this was great!
It made me so happy to hear this. Cant wait to hear at the bottom of the night. ♥
Brilliant arrangement, Kara! I'll surely be listening to your recordings for years to come. BRAVO!!
Fantastic!
This theme was heartbreaking to me as a kid. I associated it with Frog’s departure from the party until the Masamune is forged.
these dual tech performances are great 😮

The organ sure is a beast, but it's an incredible instrument and so fun to play!!
Kara, you have got to have an in-person recital event of some kind! I want to hear you live!! :)
I would love that so much! It would be fun to find two other musicians who could play these arrangements with me on the three instruments :P
Fantastic performance. I'm looking forward to this album! I admire your dedication... Not many people would install an entire organ in their homes just for a UA-cam video! :-P

Beautifully played! Cool idea splitting the screen with the clock hands too!
