    I just love the spot you chose to demo this. Right next to an open window with a good amount of daylight shining through. The sound of the windchimes is completely relaxing and just puts you in the mood to play some piano. I just ordered this 49 microkey by Korg, and i can wait.

    Good morning
    I just ordered mine in 49 keys
    what is the difference with a classic synth which has its own internal sounds?
    is it a usb midi keyboard? when you plug into the smartphone the sound comes from it
    and then is it the application like garage band that does the emulation?
    sound quality depends on where it is plugged in
    can we have the sounds of the korg M1 for example?

    • @MACROMARVIN
      @MACROMARVIN  22 дні тому

      Thanks for watching! The sounds you get depend on the software/app you decide to use. Keep in mind that the keyboard is just the tool to trigger those sounds. The realism or quality of the sound you want will depend on whether using stock GarageBand virtual sound libraries, dedicated apps like Korg or 3D Piano, or for more advanced using Logic Pro to purchase better libraries to use with your keyboard.
      Here’s another video I made showing one of the nicer libraries I’ve found:

  • @cardsigner

    Hi Macro. Did you ever had difficulty in choosing between a 49 versus 61 microkey in terms of portability and playability? I have a standard keyboard and I noticed that most of my favorite music hits within 49 keys. Except for the "Moonlight Sonata" , but with some minor adjustment the sonata is still playable within 49 keys. Besides, the 61 keys is also not enough for the sonata, it does not help that much. And with the transpose button, the 49 key seems doable for the sonata. So now, I'm confused between 49 vs 61. Hope to hear your thoughts on this.

    • @MACROMARVIN
      @MACROMARVIN  3 роки тому

      Hi thanks for watching! Honestly it depends on what your goals are. If you are trying to play classical pieces that require range, the octave button can be annoying so more range is better. If you are trying to play with sounds and melodies with different instrument sounds, fewer keys isn’t an issue. The other thing I would point out is that depending on your set up, the micro key is good for travel if you take it on the go but also consider full sized keys if you you don’t mind something a tad larger. The full size keys will make a world of difference in playability for piano focused pieces and melodies. But then you’d sacrifice the portable factor.

    • @MACROMARVIN
      @MACROMARVIN  3 роки тому

      One last thought, if you do buy one make sure you have some sort of return policy, they recently updated their micro keyboard and there’s some compatibility issues they need to work on for a few Apple devices

    • @MACROMARVIN
      @MACROMARVIN  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching, I’d say there is some noise. Not too loud but it’s there because it’s a mainly plastic construction keyboard. If you’re thinking about this midi just make sure the size of the keys fits your needs, these aren’t full sized.

If you are trying to learn piano in general you’ll want full sized keys like this one at a similar price and can also be used for music creation on your devices ua-cam.com/video/Ue0Fmut1evc/v-deo.html

    • @MACROMARVIN
      @MACROMARVIN  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching! Semitone transposing needs to be done through software (logic pro/ Kontakt). And latency depends on whether you’re using Bluetooth or not. My experience with Bluetooth on the mac was pretty bad. When working with a keyboard making music on a computer you’ll want to be plugged in through usb.

    Hi, when the microkeys air is connected to the iOS devices using bluetooth or usb cable, will I be able to use a bluetooth headphones/earphones or a bluetooth speakers to hear the output/sound coming out. In this demo is the sound directly coming out from the ipad?

    • @MACROMARVIN
      @MACROMARVIN  4 роки тому +1

      Great question! If you have an older iPad like mine (iPad Pro 1) you still have the headphone jack so it’s no problem. When using Bluetooth headphones or speakers while using the keyboard, even if you are successful in connecting them, you’ll experience a latency lag. To record this and whenever I use this combination, I use the iPad Pro speakers (which are louder) and record what I’m doing internally to preserve the sound qualities.

However, there are people saying that there’s an equivalent app for Android that allows it to work the same. The issue would also be finding the appropriate apps to use on your android device to get the most out of it, like GarageBand etc. regardless you can check it out here play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobileer.example.midibtlepairing&hl=en_US
