Robbin williams was effortless unlike srk. And matt Damon was insanely likable personality unlike alia.
This film is about creating awareness about mental health. Here in india, dealing with depression is taboo. The irony is you'll get depressed because of you, having depression. The film is portrayed beautifully and succeeded in convincing the story.
SRK and Alia both nailed it.
That’s why people who think having depression is being weak think this film is boring.

This movie is not a masterpiece art. Please remember that and watch while keeping that in mind. You guys tend to have a lot of expectation sometimes. Having said that, it's actually a v good movie with stellar and grounded performances by both SRK and Alia. It's focus is on mental health, life problems and most of all, enjoying life. It's more Alia focused. But I loved this role of SRK and I really think grounded roles like this would suit him more.

WE DO NOT HATE ALIA AND THE REAL REASON FOR THIS HATE IS NOT NEPOTISM. It has just become one of the fuels adding to the fire. PLZ READ FURTHER TO KNOW THE CONTEXT BEHIND THIS RAGE.
We understand guys what you are trying to say about nepotism and the talented actors from famous families. We do agree and have that much common sense. But it is not as simple as you think it is at first glimpse without knowing the context and history. Guys we know Alia is talented but you don't know why Sadak2 trailer got as much hate as it did. It is way more complicated than the Sushant issue and nepotism debate. Sushant's demise was just the ultimate trigger point for people here. There are so many other nepo kids and even Alia whom we loved for so long till now and still respect her for her talent. This hate for the particular film was not actually targeted as much at Alia as it was at her infamous director producer father Mahesh bhatt. He has been accused of casting couch by several young outsider newcomer actresses. His way of working has been questionable for long. A young actress Gia khan had committed suicide some years back. I'm not saying he was directly responsible but he has fooled young girls making them believe that he would make them big stars. There are inappropriate pictures and videos of him with those young actresses. Even with Sushant's last girlfriend.
This is not the only reason. His son had helped one of the Mumbai terrorist attack linked person David Hadley in getting information of the different places in Mumbai for pakistani terrorists before the attack and after the attacks Mahesh bhatt was one of those who blamed an innocent Indian social organization RSS for the attack inaugurating a propaganda book on it and many innocent people were tortured in jails because of these propagandists while it was very well proven before the world with call records and other evidences among statements by one terrorist caught alive that this heart wrenching terrible attack was planned and executed by pakistani terrorists with help of their intelligence agency ISI and their army. They trained the terrorists.
Besides Mahesh bhatt publicly shared stage with one of India's most wanted Islamic fundamentalist and terrorist Zakir Naik and whole heartedly appreciated and supported him and his ideology. The same person who has been a hero for many terrorists and inspiration for attacks done by them across the world. Zakir Naik is a factory manufacturing terrorists every year. And Mahesh bhatt supported him. You can see the video and then Zakir Naik's videos also. You will get to know what a "great" man Mahesh bhatt is.
May be Alia is not responsible for all of it. But you cannot deny that people always support their family no matter they are right or wrong. Can she come out and say her father's supporting a terrorist was wrong. So many people have died and suffered because of Mahesh bhatt's son and that friend of his.
We do not hate Alia but yes we hate Mahesh bhatt. Earlier you guys didn't know anything about Kashmir issue and could talk casually about it. But now you know how serious it is and how many lives are involved and are in danger everyday there because of terrorism. So now u yourself say that u understand the gravity of it. Mahesh bhatt issue is also like that. Way more complicated than you think it is. We are not being senseless guys or just spreading hate for nepokids. Nepotism is just one of the factors that has triggered this anger among People after Sushant. There is also a huge drug mafia working here in Bollywood which is operated from Karachi by Dawood Ibrahim... India's another most wanted. Bollywood has become a mess. It is needed to be checked and cleaned. Look at South Indian film industry or others as well, how gracefully they work and how humble they are even the biggest superstars there. There are also actors who are from famous families but we need to appreciate the fact that the much they become more famous the more they are simple, humble, kind and connected to their roots. Away from these kind of illegal activities.

And yes I really love to watch their videos and honest reaction but they have indirectly said in more than two three videos now that what we are doing is wrong and idiotic. That's why felt the need to explain it in depths but don't know if they would read it or not. But it's fine as I anyway had to do my bit to clear things on our part ( us common Indians).

Actually it's not their fault because we Indians and our dear ancient nation and its matters are too magnificently complex and complicated to be fully understood by any foreigner in such little time of just one year. ☺️ And they are actors, so primarily think from cinema and art's perspective but we can't blame them or expect much. Brilliant movie with a deep meaning to it! 💛 Alia did an amazing job! And one of the best characters of SRK I think.
This is a good movie - a very grounded one. Understand your love for Alia and her talent but the negativity directed towards her (mostly her recent work) is not about her being targeted for nepotism (everyone knows Alia is a bright beautiful actor n the hatred is not towards her as a celebrity or person but for her association with her father and uncle because they are connected or talked about in the SSR case in connection with the chief accused in this case. A whole drug racket is unraveling, more names r coming out. Less about nepotism which was discussed to death and now it's just about everything n everyone in connection with the case that's going on. People are not dumb enough to get sucked into a 'I hate Alia or celebrity kids' camp-if they r talking about it, it's because of their desire to give actors, not from the industry a fair chance. Bollywood (n any other film industry) takes a long time to wake up to the reality of issues, so sometimes relevant noise is needed to make people uncomfortable enough to look n make decisions in the right direction. I love this song and Alia Bhatt (it's unfair n unfortunate that she, like some deserving others are caught up in this heated battle because of the current situation n her association with her family members who are evidently connected in the SSR case(Time will tell us the truth).

The problem with nepotism is not that people have relations in the industry but eliminating competition by bringing down 'outsiders'. And that is accused of Alia bhat and gang. Look at the number of films Alia excelled it and movies were commercial hits. Highway, Humpty Sharma, Badrinath ki Dulhania, Kapoor and sons, Udta Punjab, Raazi (Solo 100 cr film), Gully boy. These are her hits in which she has significant role and gave Excellent performances. That's why she has so many film's lined up.

I have been through that phase of life when nothing goes right. It all ended last year when I was driving my bike late night on a highway lost in past and collided with a mini truck at close to 80 kmph speed.
For a while I got more broken to realize half of my body went paralyzed. But that made me realized the fragility of life. Sometimes all it takes is one push towards right direction. I am turning impossible into possible. My left leg has almost recovered and my shoulder has started healing slowly and steadily. My hand one day will work as before and I will again ride my Dominar 400 on those open highways.
The greatest battle lies within and I will win it one day. Even if its my last day I would smile and say LOVE YOU ZINDAGI 🙂

This movie may not be a masterpiece but it is still extremely beautiful and warm! The performances given by Alia and SRK were amazing- simple and grounded
I would definitely say make this your next SRK film!
