This is my first time watching, reacting, and reviewing HELLUVA BOSS - "Just Look My Way." I hope you enjoy it!

Follow Blitz, a classic demon Imp who sets out to run his own small assassin business with his weapons specialist Moxxie, his bruiser Millie, and his receptionist hellhound Loona. Together they attempt to survive each other while running a startup in Hell.

for your information, this song was originaly a fan made one. It was originaly made by paranoidDJ. It was a fan favorite song that would match stolas personality but would also adresse this ''couple'' problems.
Vivziepop decided it would be a great addition to the story line. She collaborated with th original writter and producer of the song to make this new version. Most of the song is the same as the original, but there are some little tweaks and some parts that were not in the original.
This new version of the song would be canon and so is the animation. Hope this helped !
Also, for the moon thing. Stolas and blitz had an affaire on the full moon. On every full moon blitz would bring the book back so stolas could do his work but also to ''pay'' stolas with their sexy time. So stolas can only associate blitz with the full moon. hope this helped too.

The moon theme relates to the fact that blitz and stolas agreed to meet up every full moon to fuck as a condition to blitz using the magic book to get to the human world. Now that stolas is planning on giving the magic crystal to blitz to allow him to the human realm without the book, this song is all about stolas coming to terms with letting go of blitz..😢😢😢😢

I think it's both that and a symbolism, the relationship between the moon and the earth

Not completely barren but yeah everything would get fucked up.
Everyone caught that the moon represents Blitz, but I think the earth represents stolas family.
Which with all the strife with Stella has blinded him to the rest of his family being Octavia and probably siblings we haven’t seen yet.
Words fail to express how happy I am that Vivzie chose to make this song official, and deliver it with such a STUNNING music video!
The animation is absolutely breath taking! Stolas is such a sad, longing soul. You can tell Bryce put his full heart and soul into this. Honestly such a spectacular cover of such a spectacular fan song.
I feel like this perfectly captures Blitzø and Stolas's relationship, Stolas wanting Blitz to know how he feels and Blitz not being able to except Stolas's feelings.

@@MikeyVentureI feel there is even more than most people talk about. Stolas has perpetuated this divide between them by keeping the book deal agreement and he deeply regrets it but has done it to keep him in his life, because he knows once blitz doesn’t need the book he could just leave and so he has been terrified to take that risk even if it is the only way for him to know it’s blitz actually cares about him like he does to Blitz. I love the honest depth that has been built because even we don’t know exactly how blitz feels.

Like with most romantic miscommunication on TV, a few friends who care deeply about Stolitz need to find a way to get them stuck in an elevator. No one leaves until they've talked their stuff out!

I was crying so hard. This is absolutely incredible. The gorgeous visuals, the haunting music, the pain in Stolas' voice, you can instantly understand exactly how bad he wants Blitzø, how he wishes Blitzø would tell him how he feels, and how Stolas wonders if he's the problem. I couldn't be more hyped for episode 8.

"I will try to make amends, to making you means to an end" is not only a great verse but hauntingly beautiful for Stolas as a character, who went from seeing Blizo as "Impish little plaything" to "Dearest"
Watching the light dim from his eyes as that final tear runs down his face at the end is absolutely heart wrenching to watch every time.
This is probably one of the first times Helluva made me emotional. The music was beautiful (Bryce singing his heart out gets emotional every single freaking time🥹) and the animation was so pretty, they all out did themselves and Im curious where “The Full Moon” goes in terms of story especially after this came out
I really love his voice. I could listen to him sing all day
You have no idea how much I was crying when I first watched this music video! I’ve heard this song from PARANOiD DJ before this but the changes they made with the lyrics to fit the canon and the beautiful next level animation not only makes the next episode all the more hype for their relationship but also inspires me more and more to be an animator! Every episode and video they release always inspires me more and more the more fluid and high quality their animations gets from one animated video or episode to another!
Every new episode I always comment how much the animation keeps improving. It’s very impressive

That said, Blitzø has had alot of character growth lately, does that mean he'll be prepared to make himself vulnerable for Stolas? Who can say... but i agree, this relationship arc needs to come to a head
I think Blitz will run away, thinking he doesn't deserve love, with everything bad that has happened around him. Fizz, his mother, his sister. He doesn't want to add Stolas to that list.
@@thomasatyeo1765 He *just* fixed his thing with Fizz. *And* he watched Fizz and Ozzie be genuinely happy together! I think those are *the* events that needed to happen for him to understand that
1) Royalty *can* care about imps
2) He *can* still have meaningful relationships.
Obviously, at first he could still see Stolas’s gift as “getting rid of him”, but I believe everything that happened has prepared him enough to finally accept love from someone. Now all we need is for Stolas to explain himself properly and not fuck up the meeting. He has to be very clear with his intentions so that there’s no room for misinterpretation. And.. that’s probably the most difficult moment. Still… I do believe that things can only go well from here. This is definitely going in the right direction.
Paranoid Dj is quite amazing and has done so much for Hazbin and Helluva fandom. I'm so glad they're getting the recognition they deserve. You should definitely check out his other fan songs. They have a GREAT Angel Dust song that was inspired by addict.

The breaking point was ozzie's stolas dropped the ball by acting embarrassing and with blitz already fragile self loathing mindset that stung him more deeply probably subconsciously more deeply then blitz knew
Yep Stolas is giving Blitz the Asmodean crystal to freely travel to the human world without the book. But you know Blitz, he has been getting better at communication but Blitz can easily tell himself that Stolas doesnt want him anymore.
Paranoid DJ really deserves freakin applause for this one, man. He sung the original for his channel a few years ago but this one, of course, has Stolas's VA. A few of the verses changed to reflect better where Stolas is in the show now so people are taking it as cannon, like Addict is a soft-cannon for Hazbin. You should totally check out his other fan songs too.
This is such a heartbreakingly beautiful video. The music is makin me cry, dude, but the animation is so spectacular.
I think the Moon represents a few things. One, how Stolas and Blitz only spend nights together, never in the light of day unless there's some pretense or cover. (Looloo Land) Two, Stolas needs his Grimore/Book on the nights of a Full Moon to do... Whatever he does. The deal he gave Blitz in the beginning was the use of the book in exchange for sexy time. So, their whole exchange of favors takes place on the Full Moon.
I also would like to think that Blitzø kind of feels like a moon. Only orbiting around Stolas, in no control. As long as there is that power imbalance the relationship will never work.
Yes! I hope more people realize what great songs Paranoid DJ has made. I was super happy when I found out they did a song for Lackadaisy as well!

Blitzo is the moon because of their deal, Blitzo only comes on Full Moons. The string is like the red string of fate. It's their connection, but Stolas is giving him the stone and breaking their connection because he thinks Blitzo wants that
Also this gives them the freedom to choose to be together without the obligation due to a deal being made, because Stolas wants it to be real.

I agree, Ozzie and Fizz need to schedule several private meetings between Stolas, Blitzø, and themselves. Meetings where they can explain themselves completely, without any fear of judgment from anyone like Mammon, Stella, or Striker.
Then, if Ozzie allows it, set up a similar meeting between Barbie and Blitzø. Let the emotions fly, without fear of retaliation or resentment.
I turned that beautiful shot of the water after Stolas takes off into my cover photo for FB. It was too beautiful to not use.
Sing broke me. Haven't cried to a Helluva Boss song since the lullaby in S1 E2. From the severing of the line between them, I'm convinced Stolas is going to retract the grimoire permanently and give Blitz the Asmodeon Crystal to allow him to do his job and access the Mortal Realm. From there, he's either going to try and prove his commitment to Blitz or cut ties with him. I don't know. But this song is very powerful
He doesn't just want Blitz to notice him. He wants Blitz to understand him.
Im so glad so many people are reacting and opening up to HB due to this music video. Just like Addict this was a fanmade song but Viv being the awesome person she is absolutely loved it, and decided to animate it (and the VA sing it, he is a broadway singer so he is amazing). However, this is now officially cannon because she fixed some of the lyrics to fit the current story.
I like the loneliness subtly portrayed in the last shot when he blinks and opens his eyes again.
Yes you see this gorgeous and lovely office. A wonderful world of riches. But he is alone.
No one there to care for him in that big empty house. The servants don't care. They are employees. His daughter is mostly over at his ex's house.
He is just there to cry alone. Which is why he falls back to Blitzø. Even if the connection is painful and can't be there for him it's better than nothing.
I am glad Stolas sees they need time apart if this is going to work. Time to see if the time apart is healthier. If they feel lonelier. If its worth working towards.

I say it's cannon would put on post saying it's given with everything going on between Stolas and Blitz it makes this would how Stolas feels in deep sadness and depression
I just want to say the Earth and Moon symbolism that you were picking up is most likely due to the fact that the Earth and Moon are tidally locked. Meaning they always face each other but Blitz throughout the music video Is shown to be on the back of the moon. the moon only has one side of it faceing the earth meaning the other, being the dark side of the never sees our planet. Blitzo being repersented by the dark side of tje moon shows that even though he's always around Stoase he's never looking at him
I enjoyed the song long before it became official, but now that it is, I am just blown away by the animation they added to go with the song which made it even more emotional than it already was.
The terms of his contract with Blitzo is that they meet once a month at the full moon so he can do his job, and then they get it on. So the moon represents Blitz in this case.

PARANOID DJ has made INCREDIBLE songs for Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss. Angel Dust's 911, Sir Pentious's My Machine, Husk's We're Sure To Drown, Cherri Bomb's Pop!, and Alastor's Smile Like You Mean It are my top favorites but all of his songs are great! =D
In the first episode, Stolas, likely in an attempt to rationalize or possibly make Blitzo more comfortable with their relationship, proposes a demon deal. That's what the moon is representing. Basically because Stolas uses the book for his job every full moon, the deal is that on those nights Blitzo returns the book and spends the night with Stolas.In exchange, Blitzo can keep the book all other days of the month.
His intention is to end the demon deal and attempt to convey that his feelings are real because he's realized that Blitzo has interrupted the deal as a sort of slave contract and doesn't trust Stolas' sincerity. Of course, he's afraid that ending the contract and releasing Blitzo means the imp may never return.

It seems interesting to say that this song give us the audience/Fans a glance on what to come for the next episode being called “Full Moon” which I believe might have Stolas and Blitz connecting more with Blitz having to open up to Stolas or Stolas open to blitz that he love him so much. So who knows what going to happen in next half of this season and it might cause some emotional damage for us to witness.
Also about that Crystal that Stolas ask Ozzie to make is more than teleporting I.M.P to the human surface. It might grant them to do human disguises without usage of materials on them when they are with humans around. So let’s hope and cross our fingers that “DHORKS” won’t be using that crystal for access to the demon underground
Blitz has it cemented in his mind that everyone leaves, so it's better to push them away before it happens. I think Blitz will see what Stolas is doing as another example of being abandoned. Or, even worse, see Stolas' confession, when combined with the crystal, is just another way to dangle freedom only to reveal there are strings attached. Either way, I think Blitz is going to pull away even further.

@@thomasatyeo1765 I do agree, but I think having Fizz back in his life, and starting to heal from that BIG initial wound with Fizz, will give Blitzø a positive reinforcement that TALKING to others about your problems is a viable option. It may not work- like with barbie- or it might start the healing journey like with Fizz.
I personally hope Blitzø freaks out and takes off after he is offered the Crystal /his freedom (feeling abandoned by Stolas) but has Fizz to snap him out of that deep spiral. It would make sense why we just watched him and Stolas be so directly tied and compared to Fizz/Ozzie- Blitz is on both of their good sides right now too. The last few episodes seemed to set up some sort of hope there may be a better resolution and not just total separation for Blitzø & Stolas imo
I want these two to be together, and from what Viv and Brandon have said in panels... it definitely seems like that's A Goal. I worry... because next episode is The Full Moon and the fan expectation is that this is when Stolas is going to give him that crystal, and I just *don't* see Blitz having made enough progress yet to see that gesture for what it is or be willing to open up enough to *listen* to Stolas. Stolas has been doing some *soul-searching*, and we see the results of that in this. He's realized not only that the arrangement is detrimental to what he wants, but that Blitz has massive walls up and that despite him not knowing the reason for that, there must *be* a reason that is valid. And that he may have trod all over those reasons before, and needs to, as he says, make amends.
Blitz is learning the power of communication and forgiveness thanks to his interactions with Fizz. ....But I just don't think he's grown *enough* yet. Not by next episode.
Sometimes the greatest test to love is going your own way to grow apart in order to be together.
This song was really emotional, and it really shows the love Stolas has for Blitz. Even in the beginning like you pointed out, Stolas was gifted the crystal by Asmodeus, which gives the power to enter the living world. Meaning if Stolas gives Blitz the crystal, he can go to earth without needing Stolas and his Grimore. The animation shows how much Stolas truly loves, and wants to understand Blitz. But in the near end, Stolas feels like he's the problem in this relationship, and as much as he wants to try and make it work, Stolas is starting to lose hope for their relationship. I can't wait for the next episode, but I pray we'll get a happy ending for Blitz and Stolas, by just by these signs, this...aren't looking to well for them.
Ugh I honestly can’t tell which way Viv will go with these two. I would not be surprised if we get a not so happy outcome, but I hope I’m wrong haha
This is such a beautiful and tragic ballad.
Stolas has turned his whole world upside down to be who he really wants to be. And part of that is being with Blitz. His life is on hold amidst trying to interpret Blitz’s dismissive behavior. And he doesn’t know if he is doing this because he doesn’t care, or if he is simply afraid of him because of the power imbalance between them.
The grimoire is the only thing keeping Blitz from being honest.
I wonder if Loona and/or Octavia could help them out somehow. Blitz has deep traumas and self-hatred, so it won't be easy to get through to him.
I honestly don’t know which way Viv will go with this. I could easily see her giving us a not so ideal outcome
If there is Therapy in Hell then Blitz needs sooooo much therapy
This song is about longing. Stolas longs for Blitz to open up, to show any kind of reciprocation of his feelings. Then it addresses how he cares enough to let him go if that is what he needs. But as he makes that choice, he is still longing for some kind of closure. Some kind of explanation. Some kind of final word from Blitz that they will never work out so he can truly let go. It's terribly sad, but also accurately depicts how longing feels. You want to be with someone so much it breaks your heart, even if you know they may not choose you. Their happiness is most important.
The thing is, in season one, during Blitz's fever dream, he saw his past relationships and how he pushed people away. But remember, in the dream he wore gold chains attached to Stolas on his golden throne. This shows that he not only respects Stolas and sees him as someone of an obvious higher station, but he feels an attachment to him. The chains were GOLD. Shining. Pure. The steps leading to Stolas were white. And I think that terrified him more than anything else because he felt such a deep connection. That's why he pushed him away after their first date. Season two shows us why, of course, with the fire that killed his mother and pushed his first love, Fizzy, away. The he lost his sister because of those events.
So, is his true fear about their difference in station? I think he fears that if he admits his true feelings, he will lose Stolas somehow. I think, Blitz cares deeply for him in return but puts up these walls because he is terrified of hurting someone else. Terrified that he will, once again, lose someone he loves and it will be his fault.
I love that they take these fan-made songs and make them Canon in some instances, but I will say any way you slice it Paranoid DJ makes dang good songs for the series.
I'm curious what moment was Stolas reaching out and Blitz turning him down? I don't really see a big moment Stolas had some loud honesty or gesture til now? He does a lot of cute things or hints but its usually mixed with sex since he tragically thinks thats what attracts Blitz :')
I'm excited to see Stolas actually speak CLEAR and plain and honest! Idk how Blitz will take it but Stolas really needs to not hang back how he really feels and be very clear the crystal isn't just to get rid of Blitz but to make it so Stolas doesn't control Blitz's entire way of life.
the only way i can honestly see Blitz realizing that Stolas truely loves and cares about him is by going full demon on someone like striker, cause we all know he's gonna make a vengence move on blitz, and Stolas taking a near fatal shot for blitz and almost dieing again all the protect blitz

I was just today years old when I found out the song was by Paranoid DJ. I listen to their Fizzarolli song all the time I didn’t pay attention to the credits after the song ;v; it’s so amazing dude!
So the tether is basically a string of fate/destiny. It is wrapped around the ring finger connecting two individuals meant to be together. You hear about it quite often in East Asian stories. It is usually depicted as a red string. Western culture has a similar concept with wedding rings on the same finger between two people. For the string to snap usually means ending the ties and destiny between them. In the case of this, it is Stolas breaking the contract, giving Blitz a way to the human world without them. He's ending the "means to an end" that has developed between them. He's giving Blitz the choice to continue this relationship without something to bind them. Stolas is determined to save them, but he's terriied he won't succeed. The fact that Stolas really has nothing besides Blitz and Octavia. He doesn't seem to fit in with nobility. His father doesn't even know his name. His wife was a nightmare. He has no one close to him except those two and there are just certain things you can share with your child. Like vulnerability as you are supposed to act like the role model and try to keep them safe and happy. Stolas has shown this mentality, not telling Octavia why his marriage devolved into this mess or that he never loved her mother, not seeming to realize that her parents have always hated each other (as said by her line that she missed the time when their parents didn't scream and hate each other).

I believe the symbolism of Blitzo being the moon is that Stolas is the earth and Blitzo follows him, Without the moon earth ( stolas ) would fall into chaos, and the moon ( Blitzo ) protects the earth from threats, and the moon slowly moving away from earth. Thats just my take on it though

The symbolism with the Earth and Moon, part of the reality is that the moon is slowly every year drifting away from the earth, and one day if there is not a balance the moon will break free from Earth's gravity and will be hurtled into the void.

I watched the original. The lyrics were a bit different. The music was mostly different. They also tweaked some of the lines to fit their current relationship in the canon.
His singing is too good he should do a song for a future James Bond opening credits
2:51 The deal Stolas and Blitz have is based on the full moon when blitz has to bring the tome back to Stolas and they have sex. The moon in this is blitz.

ParanoidDJ has a few Hazbin Hotel and Helluva boss songs! Highly reccommend The Ringleader if you wanted to react to their songs. Its about Fizzarolli and Blitzos relationship from episode 7 s1 - to ep 5 of s2. Its held up extremely well considering when it was written, it almost feels canon (its not, but its just so accurate). It aged amazingly

I recommend to look to such from paranoid DJ. he made many fan songs too helluva boss and hazbin hotel whot hit nerves.
And yes the situation between Blitz and Stola are soooooooo saaaad at the moment and I believe its the case, that Stola will let Blitz go.
The song from paranoid dj came out at a time, were I had big problems with my ex in steal greates love and still important person on my live.
I could so strong emapthize with Stola and this song and I still can. And it fitts so well,
that I was very happy, that it got and official version.

Definitely look up some more Paranoid DJ stuff. He's got some killer songs that really flesh out characters on both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss to the point where they've solidified characterization in my mind.
I think that when Stolas gives Blitzø the crystal that will lead to a misunderstanding wherein Blitzø will think thst Stolas is basically saying 'i am tired kf you, cant be bothered anymore you useless imp, take this crystal and leave me alone' and it will take a few episodes (probably Stolas will have to save him again in the human world) for hom to realize that it wasnt meant to be a goodbye but a way to even the playing field
Paranoid DJ is pretty popular in the fandom because they've created ALOT of "serious" songs related to Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel. They're actually the one who also made the song "ADDICT" which also got an official music video made for it

i think the crystal thing might backfire. Blitz might take it as stolas trying to push him away and proceed to blame himself for it again. Sadly Blitz just doesnt see himself worthy of anyone especially someone like stolas but hopefully im wrong
I don’t think that it’s considered turning him down, but with the crystal if Blitzø chooses there is no need to see Stolas again, then Stolas will be able to move on since he longer sees Blitzø. Which not going to lie, it would break my heart because I feel like they are good for each other. I think they complete each other and most definitely need each other because honestly they are the most love they’ve ever received from anyone to each other

Its an asmodean crystal its the same thing stolas was asking ozzie for in oops, oops heavily set up the crystal with oz initially saying no but after getting the go ahead from fizz here we are.
Also asmodean crystals were shown in s2 ep 1 in a book and they give demons The abiLity to travel to the human world and gives them.a human disguise ehich is how barbie had one

I think Blitz is the Moon, Stolas is the Earth. The Moon is forced to orbit the Earth (like how Blitz is practically forced to dick Stolas for the book), the same side of the moon is locked to face the Earth, the dark part of the Moon is Blitz's inner thoughts; Stolas will never be able to see the other side of him unless he lets him "out of his orbit"

But it hurts more with Stolas since he's my favorite character. I love him so much. They need to be together. Normally Id agree but I wish hed watch it once unpaused. It seems like a ton of the impact and emotion gets lost with the breaks. Music reactions are often underwhelming for frequent pausers.

Canonically, this song happens at the end of season 1. Remember when Stolas calls Blitzo (the "o" is silent) while Blitzo is crashing Millie and Moxie's anniversary date? Right after that. There is more development in Season 2, especially with the healing between Blitzo and Fizzarolli. And with the relationship between Amadeus and Fizzarolli going public, it just might get Blitzo to make some realizations.
