saved me tons of time!
Great video. You saved this old man a lot of heartache and cussing!
God bless your soul for this video, watched manny videos on taking the whole front of the truck apart, this was much easier
Super easy just like this showed. Thanks for the "easy way"!
Thank you, big time. I am putting in hids right now and saw this and knew it was going to be a pain. After installing a aftermarket grill on mine, I know you are 100% right. At first, I thought this was going to be fake or just one side done. Nope you pulled it off, explained it properly and saved me a hard time.
Ayee. Glad it helped 👍
Super helpful, thanks! Got all 4 replaced without breaking a clip.
glad it helped !
Nice to see you active again. Happy holidays
Yah canadian winters are a sucky time to work on cars. Happy hollidays to you and your family brother
That grille is heinous
Perfect, thanks for the video.
Or just use a trim removal tool to pull the clips from your wheel well and just reach up behind the lights.
No muss no fuss. 💪
let's talk about how his headlights are going to be filled with water because the seals don't fit with the heat sinks. Drives me nuts what people will do to vehicles to try to look cool but instead destroy it. Just swap the bulbs to h9 and 9005 trim a few tabs bulb connector and factory fit and function with 30% more light. The new low beam is only a 100 lumens lower than stock high beams
Great, did suscribe, you're The Best, Thanks so Much and merry Christmas 2020
I just did it good stuff
Good stuff, thanks for posting
Great job thanks
Thanks for this information
That is a reflection housing for a halogen bulb, so replacing it with a cheap LED is only causing unusable bleeding light that is blinding every on the road and ever owl in the trees you pass. So unless you are buying Phillips O.E.M LED specifically designed for your vehicle, you are much better off using the correct bulb type in those housing.
Thanks a bunch i was about to remove the whole thing
What kind of LEDs are they using
Dude thanks bro
Thanks
Did u install the dust covers again or leave them off any condensation in the lights ?
I didn’t re install the dust cover on the driver side low beam I just couldn’t seem to get everything to fit and there’s minor condensation when I take it through a car wash but it evaporates within about 45 seconds and it’s all gone. Other then that no issues at all.
George Orfanogiannis the bulbs themselves have a small red rubber gasket to keep water out that cover is just extra so it’s not 100% necessary
Link is broken for the link to lights. Can you post a new one?
Or your could just undo a few 5.5mm and a twist clip on your fender liners and turn your wheel locked to the right and have access to the whole back of the head light just saying
Just did the passenger side light.....no short cut for that side I guess?
Good video A!!
What brand headlights did you use. Maybe it blew because your rubber caps aren't on because the bade of bulb is too large.
Cheapest chinese brand light atm
Thanks for sharing I was about to take the headlights out
I’ll do it your way better 👍
I have an Ecoboost with twin turbos, not sure if this would be the same
just pull the fender liner on both sides. easy af
@@Wrenchlife604 I have to do brakes this weekend. I'm thinking that's when I'll also get the new LED's installed while the front wheels are off. Thanks for getting back! Happy Fing Friday!!!
@@Wrenchlife604 Wow! Not sure how much easier it could get! Had to change the front brakes on my 4x4 2017 150, it took less time than even just changing the pads! Yup, it's the best way! Thank you for the insight and knowledge sharing.
Yeah, those BLINDING lights, are more than that Air Filter! Lol
Did u install the dust covers again. Or leave them off ?
Left them off. The o-rings on the bulbs will prevent moisture from entering the light housing
I installed mine and I am getting condensation in the housing it’s making me crazy !!!!!
Can you reach the high beam bulb when the air box is out?
no... and you can reach both by taking off 3 bolts and two clips then slightly pulling back the wheel well and reaching up and twisting the bulbs out = easier method
Note do not touch the bulbs with your fingers. The oil from your skin will shorten the bulb life
What is a good aftermarket led bulb?
Auxbeam is good. Same with cougar. I think i listed some in the description
Good Ol' brown surrey boyz eh
😂😂😂
Hey, what’s up with that 67 merc next to the truck?
Got a build playlist on my channel about it. Long overdue project. But shea slowley getting done 👍
Wrench life 604 what model and engine , love those 60s Fords and mercs .
Parklane model. Which is the one with the most chrome trim. Engines a ford 390fe.
My 2015 Ford F-150 is a totally different design and bulb is a lot different. My bulbs for my truck are $250 each.
Where you able to still use the dust boot?
no. the new headlights stick out too far due to the heatsink on the base of the light so you will not be able to use the factory dustboots
Wrench life 604 have you had any issues with the housing fogging up or moisture getting in?
none at all. the bulbs have a o-ring on them which seals air tight to the housing. most cars dont even use a dust boot. only ever seen bmws and the new generations f150s use them
@@Wrenchlife604 many cars use dust boots, Nissans, Mini, Toyota. Dust boots are used more often when the headlight is a reflector based assembly, cars designed for HIDs always use projector based assemblies which you tend not to see dust boots unless it shares a high beam with a halogen bulb

What happened to the forum?
Eric made a post sayibg he was gonna close cb in a few days. Thread turnt to a shitstorm of people getting mad. Then he rage quit and deleted it that same day.

That sucks. I did not go on everyday but it was a cool place to hang out.
The easy way? This is easier than going through the fender well liner? Just curious.
On the driver side its easyer imo. Better then laying on the wet ground to remove the fender liner
I was looking into swapping mine for LEDs. the LEDs are too long to put the caps back on. I noticed you don’t have any. Any condensation without the caps on?
Derek Daoust no moisture what so ever.
Wrench life 604 awesome thanks 👍🏼
@yea bouy what brand covers and where did u buy it ?
@yea bouy , i got the sealight headlights and fog leds and their the same size as stock so the dust cover fits right in
Nice strap on shirt my boy
This dude looks like he flashes the shocker sign when getting his pic taken
Shaka 🤙🏼
No way I would let this tweaker work on my truck, did you see the grill on the f150??!! Just sayin.....
😂😂
It’s gotta be easier and quicker than those showing to pull all the 💩 on the outside & then pulling the whole light assembly
Holy fucking air filter
Fuking - AAA Thanks !
Name brand led's not chinese ones.... they all made in china
arethouready true hahah. The first ones where hella chinese tho. Fresh off the boat
Like...what brand bulbs were used?
thanks for the like. i linked the bulbs used in the video discription with an amazon link. lights been working good. and seems to have pretty positive reviews so far
Wrench life 604
Hi I wonder if you can still adjust or angled that LED light projection down to prevent blinding bright lights on coming vehicles?
you can adjust the led bulb with a set screw and clock it in whichever direction you wish. on that f150 i took it down to my shop and adjusted the headlight assembly aswell using the ford adjusters and a headlight aiming machine. with the vehicle beeing slightly lifted in the front. the headlight aim was too high. a quick adjustment and they where back where they should be
I thought everything would just be plug and play because mine has been criticized because of the blinding brightness of my after market led on my 2015 f150 .. it would be awesome if you could make a video about this.. thank you in advance.
Not the easy way
