I have been wood carving for a very few months and on my third piece. I can hardly aspire to create art like this but I can appreciate the satisfaction it gives. As I admired a friend’s carving I asked how he did it and he told me ‘just carve away everything that you don’t need’.

Thi is amazing I would like to know how long it took him to carve it ? Around how much a carving like that cost ? And I know I’m asking stupid questions but he’s such a amazing artist and I love learning about these things but the deer at the front of the carving I’m wondering if there antlers are part of the original wood carving or where they carved separate and then added to the carving ?
