it was the right decision, because it was silly for someone named ‘main event’ to not win anything. People need to realize that short title reigns makes Gunther’s reign special. like that long ass title reign aint something anyone can achieve.
you see i know you just watching highlights because there was a build. this title match wasnt just made up on the day off or randomly on twitter. what more do you want? them going back and forth for weeks repeating segments?
@alexw5042 Dude you do realise that they could have built up Jey winning the sodding IC belt 4 a future ppv and not a random ep of Raw right? Bron lost the belt too soon
@@tayojones9460 and what? make it predictable like 90% of the feuds going on right now? Jey Uso winning it on Raw elevates the show a lot! it rewards the fans that watch it weekly. Same as Big E. He cashed in his MITB briefcase, beat Lashley for the wWE Championship on RAW in late 2021 and it was a feel good moment for him…until Day One when he dropped the belt to Brock Lesnar in a Fatal 4-way Match between Big E, Lesnar, Lashley, and Seth Rollins. I blame Vince for the dumb booking of Big E’s WWE title reign. Nobody wanted Brock Lesnar to win the WWE title instead Creative fumbled the bag.
Crazy thing is the aftermath. Had they had continued their original plan he would have gone on the chase to get it back from Seth. But no he went back to the new day to feud with the Brawling Brutes, only to then suffer that horrifying injury
I like the goofiness of Jey. But he is way better when he’s serious. I think he’s doing a good job balancing it. And the whole reason he came to raw was to be on his own and have fun.
I was Surprised they gave Bron a short title reign but I’m also glad that Jey won the IC title now he just needs to have some good rivalry’s to not make his title reign boring and not only them putting the title on jey just the make the fans happy
Okay, first off, I love the unscripted style, and your editing on this one was top-notch, along with the side jokes. Second, Jey winning a singles championship was long overdue, but I agree that he needs to expand his moveset.
I like the idea of having Bron Breakers' character losing matches because he underestimated his opponent initially, but then he overcomes them their next match (example: feud with Sami Zayn). He should go on a huge run after he wins his title back. He should bully other mid carders and work his way up to a relatively quick rematch.
IMO it happened way too soon. Bron Breakker just won that title from Sami Zayn, and Sami Zayn just won that title from Gunther who was champion for almost 2 years. I honestly don't expect a long title reign and wouldn't be surprised if we have a new Intercontinental Champion before Christmas.
@@FaZeripioeoo2 I'm not saying that, just it's unnecessary to play hot potato with the Intercontinental Championship. @@radeewilliams5971 3 months compared to nearly 2 years, I'd call that a transitional reign, especially since it went to Bron Breakker who is a heel and Sami Zayn won it from a heel. Also there's a man by the name of LA Knight who is the current US Champion and won that title at SummerSlam this year even though it should have won it way sooner, like SummerSlam last year or WrestleMania this year. The idea that people are gonna care less about Jey Uso winning his first singles title because it happens at WWE's biggest show of the year instead of right now makes no sense. Again LA Knight was just crowned US Champion last month after 2 years of being one of the hottest acts in WWE, Jey Uso has that same level of momentum and as long as people keep chanting his catchphrase he would have had that same momentum 6 months from now and it would have been a bigger deal. Plus having Jey Uso win the Intercontinental Championship in the main event of Raw as opposed to a PPV like the last 3 champions kinda devalues not only the title but also solidifies Jey Uso as an upper midcard guy, not main event guy. I know he won it in the main event of Raw but that's one win out of six or two out of six if you include his MITB qualifying match but even then it's his only big win this year on his own out of every high profile match. WrestleMania would have been the right time for him to win it.
I’ve always seen Jeys character like this: He was abused, beat, and basically put through the wringer for 3 years by his own family to the point where he eventually cracked and left. Once he was free of all those family problems, he mellowed out and became the chill dude he always was but he could never show because Of the stress that was always slammed onto him. But it would be cool to see a serious side of him that still had sprinkles of the funny yeet stuff that people like him for.
Jey's work not only with The Bloodline but his also entire career deserve a round of applause. I think he deserves it, But the only downside I can think of is Bron's title reign ended way too early than expected, Thought I think he can easily recover from that as he is destined to be a future WWE or a world champion.
I'm glad Jey got a belt. It was a little too soon but I'm happy to see Bron learn from his mistake and hopefully chase his way up to an even higher belt with a Gunther feud. Rooting for both of these guys.
Jey is a superstar no doubt..but I do think he needs someone to f**k him up bad so we can get more seriousness out of him. You can be a fan favorite but that don’t last long when we don’t buy in to you as a actual top guy. 100% I know hhh won’t do it but bron breakker should destroy him at bad blood and then jey should crack, cut a promo at the end raw and let all of his emotions out and talk about how he misses jimmy and how he’s been hurt by what solos doing, we should see the serious jey uso again. Him and Roman need to cut heated promos on smackdown that end in brawls, during survivor series he comes out last and helps Roman beat bloodline 2.0
