yessss i love this album so much. the fact that he wrote, recorded, produced, and mixed everything HIMSELF is amazing. gonna have an amazing career considering he’s only 22
fantasy world is chronologically the first song in the album. Its him basically deciding that ending his life will let him go to his "fantasy world", and the rest of the album is him realizing the massive mistake he made.
And I would recommend, if you plan on listening to the full album again to do it with headphones. I think it makes it 10 times as immersive, and his vocals are a bit more upfront.
He said on house settling Danny Brown is rapping from the perspective of carbon monoxide cause of how its common for old houses to have carbon monoxide leaks which is also a common cause of ghost sightings, crazy the amount of thought he puts into each song and the whole story of the album. Also loved the vid mate, glad I found your channel.
This album is so beautiful one of the most interestingly and intricately produced albums I have ever heard quadeca thought he wouldn't be alive before this album even came out because of mental health issues but thankfully he is still alive to see the praise this album has gotten
Cassini's Division is him detailing the time, (3:41) of his suicide, hanging himself. He hangs himself, right as he dose his mother turns on the lights in his room checking on him. he starts kicking and screaming. She came crying out of the room in a way nobody should be petrified. He has died, and now, beginning to feel like he is intruding on something. Life. Witnessing this in your head is horrifying. This song paralyzes me with its meaning.
i think cassinis division is his ghost accepting that hes going to turn into nothing and the static is him just blending into the static of the universe and turning into nothing
The albums about him killing himself but it’s not what he expected it to look like, he goes back to his family home and sees his mother move on from him so he’s essentially grieving the living and becomes more desperate to reconnect with his family but eventually realises he was being selfish and has to except what he has done and let them go incredible concept album
i dont know if you figured this out but im at born yesterday in your reaction and the essential idea is he is a ghost watching his mother in particular deal with it, i dont want to give away much more but theres still plenty that i dont fully understand and i wish i could interview him!!!
ive seen some explanations for other songs in the comments, but for knows, its supposedly about him releasing, or thinking of releasing carbon monoxide into his family home from the oven so that his family could join him in the afterlife, danny brown was rapping from the perspective or carbon monoxide. He later regrets it, also mentions "had to turn the oven off" and accepts his fate as a soul waiting to be nothing. it is such a bizarre but genius idea at the same time. In "knots" he also mentions, i dont fade to black i cut to static, the way the album ends.
so born yesterday is him remembering about his mother after he died and wishing he spent more time with her and house settling is him deciding because of the grief to go to her house and leave her oven on killing her (Danny Brown represents the CO2 gas that would kill her) he decided tho to turn it off and knots is his breakdown after the guilt of what he just tried to do

When I realised the static at the end of Cassinis division is him becoming one with the void of death, my mind was blown.
