Think I am wrong about him being a christian then look into some of his more recent interviews, even some of his old ones. He has been more into his Bible lately, he has been talking about it more these days. he is quite knowledgeable in the subject of God and Christ. Even he will tell you there is a God, there is a Christ. No christian is perfect, not one, it is a constant battle against Satan for all who are saved.

Rise Above This is about his brother, who at the time of writing was on the edge of being suïcidal. The song was supposed to help him get on top of it. But at the time of recording the guy jumped of the building where the band was staying at the moment. I can understand that he made a song for that :)
