I like listening to nature, especially those trails that are so far from roads or shielded behind ridges that you cannot even hear the loudest of exhaust systems. Can hear the wind, water, birds, etc.

@@rootsandpeaks I don’t like to belt out ‘oh what a beautiful mornin’ at times but I guess that really depends on how you measure a year 😉 Keep up the great content!
Love this! To each thee own brotha…. I usually will do one ear bud on hikes, not backpacking just hikes. But I bring them for a night movie when I backpacking before bed 😉
I used to hike a lot and the best headphones to use and enjoy the nature and be aware of your surroundings is the ultra shokz pro Bone conductor headphones : you can’t lose them like small in ears and it’s actually transparency mode

Totally. Most of my hikes are spent soaking in those sounds as well.

Thank you, sir! Happy hiking.
Love the share!
I love the sounds of nature when I’m on a hike but sometimes depending on the day I have been know to rock out to show tunes 😊
Which show tunes? We talking RENT or Oklahoma?

Love this! Those are the type that my wife uses too and she swears by them.
I wear bone conduction headphones and they don't block your ears.
Great option! A lot of people also hike with only one earbud in. As long as you can hear the outside world!
Good advice!!
Frozen sap or crystalized sap? Spruce Gum (crystalized spruce sap) is a tasty snack from nature. Although, like Moxie, it's an acquired taste.
I don’t know. I guess it could have been either. Do you have a guess based on the image?
@@rootsandpeaks From the dark amber color, I would guess crystalized. If it was more yellow I would say frozen.
