Hi George great video and can really use this! Doing a lot in PSE we often need some additional elements to help make a picture look good. Excellent example is your cloud example! Nothing makes a dull picture look better than some clouds. There are other brushes that offer great additional feature to a picture. My favorite was one I found a few years ago that did moons! I can't remember where I got it but it has half, full, sliver moon and some in different degrees of image quality. I think it also had planets. The world of brushes is great, I liked your twinkle lights you have used on many different projects in the past. I got brushes with leafs and ones with birds in flight, mainly bunches that work as a distant amount of flair. Great video Thanks again! Rich
Thanks Rich! Having a few special brushes in ones palette can really help "sell" a photo and they are almost required when doing fancier creative work. The twinkle lights you mention are the star filters from the Default Brushes set. I think I noticed a planets brush set when making the video, could be the one you are talking about. -George
Thanks! My favorite brush list is really short since I usually do clone stamp sampling instead of brush work but I do like the 2 grass brushes, I occasionally use spatter brushes to add texture, the star brushes to add sparkle highlights, and the crosshatch brushes in the Assorted Brushes set are nice to use when making a pencil sketch effect. All of those I have shown in videos on my old channel. But doing a new video about specialty brush use is not a bad idea, I will add that to my list.
Excellent as always, I’ll be experimenting with brushes now 😅. It’s not often we see you use the quick selection tool, looks real easy to select the image, don’t know why I’ve not given that a try before now. Thanks for your continued effort to educate us, you’re the best 😊
Thanks Anne! Normally I use the polygonal lasso tool or the plain lasso tool since both give me more control, but in some cases, like selecting clouds going with the quick selection brush is the way to go. I also don't think I have shown the refine selection brush on UA-cam before, but it works well.
This is perfect. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Creative! Thank you George
Glad you liked it Sparkles!

Great, maybe you can make a video about your favourite brushes from the original default set and what you normally use them for?

Wow, great video.
Will that work in PS 15?
Thanks Debra! Yes, works the same in PSE 15.
