Hi, I'm Steve, nonda's lead mechanic engineer. Feel free to leave your comments here if you have any mechanic questions, I will be glad to help you out!
Hi, i have a 2015 Hyundai sonota with a check engine light on. When i ran the computer it gave me p2196 and p2096. Bank 1 and 2 so we put in new O2 sensors from the dealer. We erased the code then did the drive cycle but the check engine light came back on before completing the cycle. When we scanned it this time it gave p0133. What should we try?
I have codes P0150 and P0153 on my 1997 Toyota Camry 3.0L V6 just like yours. The code scanner says the B2S1 has slow response issue. The B2S1 is right on the front manifold in the front of the engine next to the radiator, easy to access. I measured the resistance of the O2 sensor heater to be 14.8 Ohms ( specs: 11-16 ohms). I replaced the sensor with a new Denso 234-4622 OEM one anyway since I have a spare one from two weeks ago. I then deleted the codes with code scanner. The same code comes back after driving for 57 miles in two days. It also comes with codes P0130 and P0133 today, indicating B1S1 also has slow response, too. The B1S1 is located between the engine and the firewall. I knew the B1S1 is new because I replaced the B1S1 two weeks ago when it had code P0130. It was the O2 sensor heater showing open. So now the codes P0150/P0153 for B2S1 and code P0130/P0133 for B1S1 show up the same time again even after two new Denso OEM oxygen sensors B2S1 and B1S1 installed, . What is the common cause for this? A background info, I had code P0402 last week. I replaced the EGR valve. During which I found a broken off connector of the vacuum switch connected to the EGR. I had to replace the vacuum switch as well (from Advance auto parts, not Denso). I deleted codes with code scanner afterwards. But now I have P0402 shows up along with P0150/P0153 and P0130/P0133.
Leaky injector will most likely result in rich condition which is a different code. When scanner shows only P0133 and P0153 (same condition on both banks) and nothing else, it can't be leaky injector(s). ST/LT fuel trims appear to be normal. Strongly suspecting newly installed (by a shop) O2 sensors.
Replaced both oxygen sensors and new injectors on my 2006 Hyundai Elantra HD 2.0l With G4GC petrol engine. P0133 still persists Also replaced MAP/MAF sensor and PCV valve and Purge Valve Solenoid. Ordered a new Plastic (Useless) Rocker Cover and Seal, and also a New Ignition coil. Hopefully get a result.
97 Toyota Camry V6, Code P0130/P0133 (B1S1) and the code P0150/P0153 (B2S1) show up the same time again even after replacement of the two with new heated Denso OEM oxygen sensors 234-4622. The two originals were good actually. What is the common cause for this? The car had been worked on for coolant leak and the manifold had been opened by the repair shop.
Had P0133 on a 2008 chevy colorado. I replaced the fuel tank pressure sensor that sits on top of the fuel pump assembly and the code has not returned after 8 months.
Hi Jon, kindly check the wiring between the fuse box and the oxygen sensor for any issues, and check if the voltage coming to and from the oxygen sensor is within the specification of your car.
Okay John I don't know who's answering these questions on here but any mechanic knows that your O2 sensors do not run to the fuse box. They run directly into your ECU
Hey bro,I have ford fusion 2009 and I have installed the zus app its really good, does it really detects the air leaking, my car has some missing electric plug and coils are good no misfire detects, and also no fuel leakage on fuel injectors, today I changed the o2 sensor, let's see after driving what happened to this 😘
Could cold weather cause a false error on this O2 sensor? It's been about 10 degrees here in Berwick, PA. Just want to be sure before I take it to the garage and spend a few hundred dollars. It's a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport. Thank you in advance.
@@nondainc thanks for the quick reply, I will hold off making an appt and see how it is when it warms back up. We don't drive it everyday so it shouldn't be a problem. Appreciate all your help :)
@@nondainc HI, how does cold weather affect the O2 sensor. It was very cold here in NJ today and I got the code on my 1996 Volvo 850T5.Usually I've been getting the P0422 code, so I was surprised to see the p0133.
My guess is an air leak on the intake manifold. You have unmetered air entering the system. And I think that puts the car in lean mode. Note this error should be for the upstream sensor. And the O2 sensor wires and connector can go break due to time and heat. And it could be the O2 sensor, probably not, but the super cheap ones are really junk.
I got the P0133 code after adding gas with higher octane, however I replaced my heated 02sensor bank 1 sensor 1 & O2 sensor 2 & drove 200 mile no fault until the re fueling . I had 2 incomplete monitors, catalyst & evap system
2004 Honda CR-V: I replaced the downstream o2 sensor 5-6 times already always brand new, but I still get P0133. Could it be something with the wiring coming from the car?
Hi Hector, possibly-yes. We suggest inspecting the wiring between the fuse box and the Oxygen sensor. Check if the oxygen sensor is getting any voltage.
Please check the possible causes: P0130 Faulty Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 harness is open or shorted Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 circuit poor electrical connection Inappropriate fuel pressure Faulty fuel injectors Intake air leaks may be faulty Exhaust gas leaks P0133 Faulty Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 harness is open or shorted Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 1 circuit poor electrical connection Inappropriate fuel pressure Faulty fuel injectors Intake air leaks may be faulty Exhaust gas leaks
Your video is very presumptuous and narrow minded. The code is equally applicable on a diesel with only one bank! It doesn't have to be a gasoline with 2 banks. Perhaps you could update the title and mention this in the intro.

Hi Stan, since you are receiving multiple fault code, we suggest to get your vehicle visually checked by your local mechanic for further diagnosis.

Hi Ahmad, rest assured that for any engine-related issues, you will be able to use your ZUS device to scan/detect and fix the errors you'll encounter.
