You could legitimately make an argument that this is a top ten team of all time. 106 wins, 11-2 in the postseason, they were swept once all year (by the A’s of all teams because hey…baseball, right?) and never had a bad month or even a bad stretch. Bullpen ERA in the postseason was sub 1. I can’t name ten teams with those accomplishments. Some teams did it by historic hitting, this one did it by dominant pitching.
You know, I have to agree. I'm not saying they should be greater than the 1927 New York Yankees, but this 2022 Astros has to be an all-time great team. Even I doubted they would fall flat eventually like in 2019 and 2021. However, this team held serve and lost only twice in the 2022 postseason. So definitely- this is an all-time great team.

I will agree, they are definitely one of the best teams. However, the pitching can be considered the greatest pitching season ever by any team.

Christian Vasquez was amazing in the playoffs! He always intended to throw Bader out at second, and so he didn't get into the full catcher stance and stayed up on his ankles instead. Beautiful throw! Caught the no-hitter in the WS too! Miss him!💙
