I heard you calling Builgaria being an empire a nonsense. Bulgaria was always an empire historically, since Simeon the Great got the title of Basileus in 913 from the ecumenical Patriarch and until the Fall of the second Bulgarian empire to the Ottomans in 1395. CK II has also a decision to form the Bulgarian Empire since the Iron Century DLC. So, not such an oddity as you think.
Hat for a cat But that’s not special to bulgaria, russia has Tsar, Germany has Kaiser, Czech has Cíšar, Croatian has Car, and there are way more derivations of the word for “emperor” that have derivational links to Caesar. I don’t get your point.
@@adridaplague-boi Yeah, but that IS an emperor title, which emperors of bulgaria historically held (tsar is an old slavic name for "caesar"). Emperors of bulgaria were crowned by the ecumenical patriarch "basileos" which is the title literally held by the byzantine emperors. The were literally thought of as equals (titularly).
@@hatforacat3977 It is a little bit more complex than that. The first emperor Simeon the Great was crowned by the ecumenical Patriarch the next Tsars did not have to. Along with the title of Basileus the ecumenical Patriarch gave the Bulgarian church a full patriarchal dignity, so the next Tsars could be crowned by their Patriarchs. The reason he did that is because he knew Simeon would not stop invading until he becomes an emperor of the Byzantine Empire. he knew Simeon well because Simeon was his Student at the University of Constantinople (Schola Magnaura) before he became ruler. As a Resault the ecumenical Patriarch gave autcephalus status to the new Bulgarian Patriarch (the first one after the Pentarchy).
idea for next time:be a byzantine vassal become hellenic if you can and infiltrate venice and become a hellenic merchant republic, reform the religion(because most holy sites are coastal)Warmongering, Sea-Bound , Civilised and Temporal
And then there's Suomi, which had whatever the border-gore equivalent of fine red mist is. (The fjords and other funky coastline things don't help.) Though they got their act together before their Great Holy War, thank goodness.
I essentially shifted to a vanilla one instead just because HIP's performance speed suffers so much that the long-term nature of Quantum Leap would have a pretty bad time. Before CK3 comes out I do want to do a proper RP series in HIP however!
@@OneProudBavarian Ahh, ok. I didn't realise that H.I.Ps performance suffers later on as I've never played it. I think a roleplay H.I.P campaign would be really cool though. I look forward to it!
@@Lady_Amelia-Eloise TKS. And what is the name of the mod for the crowns above the coats of arms? The original Patrum Scuta from the steam workshop doesnt have those.
May I suggest a campaign for the suebi where you convert back to germanic and return to germany, and eventually create the pagan german empire? The only conditions is that you have to stay suebi and germanic. If you convert to Portuguese and are unable to convert back, you lose. Possible side objectives would be to get subjects from the other migration germanic kingdoms (Lombard, frankish, visigoth, etc), and return them to Germany in roughly the same location they originally came from, while also making them germanic too. The suebi were the Roman Era equivalent of germans. The Romans judged how germanic you were by how suebi-like you were. Returning the suebi to their old ways would be the barbarian equivalent of the resurrection of the Roman Empire! Bring glory to Wodanaz!
I think you might have to Destroy that Egyptian Treasury... Maybe you could weaken the Khazars too. You could play as the Khazars and use their money + troops to destoy the egyptian economy?
What the hell is this? A mod scenario? An episode of a series? A start date? He didn't explain anything in the intro, and an Orthodox Christian married to a Muslim in Ghana doesn't help my understanding either
Good question! Wait for CK3s system requirements and never pre-order any video game, I'd say. CK2 DLC should be constantly on sale pretty cheap leading up to CK3s release
OPB you should play with the save in #organisation in your discord channel. It is an epic save game to play in as any king/emperor all over Europe. You should really check it out. 😉

Very often overlooked in history.
I am really excited for CK3 finally doing the region justice! Really excited to test out playing there!

The Mansa Musa Experience.
Yes, the true Mansa Musa, king of Mali, the richest man in the history.
Title should be: Mansa Diara Aeti's Bizarre Adventures
It's normal that the tradeposts have specific buildings?
I don't play ck2 since 2 years and I remember only 3 types of buildings, the same everywhere.
