Aw, I wished these were more common when I was younger!
Now I have a normal sewing machine, but I have a feeling I would be better at using it if I had practice earlier.
Not to mention this sewing machine looks a lot more interesting than most normal machines XD

Looks like that plastic guard makes using it more difficult. I am not sure how my generation managed toy sewing machines in the past, and didn't get hurt at all. : ) But this one a lot more glitzy and hope future generations keep sewing! Your videos are wonderful.

To change thread above without messing with tensions and threading, You can always keep the machine threaded, cut the thread near the boobins, make a small knot with the other color thread bobbin, place the bobbin, raise the foot, pull the thread trought the machine and re-thread the needle. It's faster and it's what we do in factories to change thread color.

I totally have had one of these SINCE 2017 for my daughter who was 4 at the time that I got it by donation (per my request) and I didn't even know that it could backstitch until I saw your video!!! Me and my now 9 year old were totally psyched we found this video because we love your videos and your doll stuff. I've been teaching her to sow on my sewing machine because I didn't like that there wasn't a back stitch button, and I had the manual but it wasnt too clear to me. I did make a purchase for a electric cord to plug it to the wall which plugs underneath the foot pedal a DC6V800mA and IT makes the speed a little faster. I'm done! We love you Toya and Bella!!!

Wish this was around when I was a kid! As for you, I recommend the brother se400. It is 400 bucks but 100% worth it! And it's an embroidery machine! I'm telling you a good quality machine makes life sooooo much better! The projects you can do with the embroidery is so much fun, plus it has like 80 different stitches

Great vid! That looks really good - I remember buying a cheap sewing machine some years ago, and it was terrible - needle kept jamming, thread kept breaking, and it made a right mess of the fabric. That one is nicely designed - light plastic body, but the important bits made of steel. (Although it was a bit concerning, the way the needle bent to one side when you were pulling the thread out!). It looks a lot like the Fintie sewing machine I bought last week (no pink or jewels or sewing box, but same good build and a power adaptor!) for £20. Seems good so far - and this vid has been a lovely reminder on how some of the basic things go! (Love the little light above the needle...!)

ONONO That was TOTALLY not what I was trying to say. That's kind of what I thought that company was saying by making it bright pink and putting a girl on the box.I mean,I'm totally against sexism.I actually collect dolls and hate sports, which are stereotypical "boy things."

Hange ZoeBae ikr? but i think is because our adult machines dont have that plastic safety cover, if i bougt one of this i would take that out, well also i think the process is slow cause you have to take out the batteries, and our brother machines have a switch to turn them on and off even tho i dont turn mine off i just put the foot up so it wont start sewing and i will do it like that, how ever i can see why they recommend taking out batteries since is for children.

I can agree with that, I started watching MyFroggyStuff back in 2011 and avidly watched, but sometime around 2015 I noticed the content on this channel became ah little too. . . corrupted by advertisers and the modern, social media trends, and eventually I fell off the train of watching everyday. I have just returned to this channel, and I must say: that while her prowess in crafting has vastly increased, so have all the bits and pieces that drove me off. However, I understand that most of this channel's viewers enjoy the content being produced currently, and am aware of the fact that my opinion will change nothing, so for now, I find respite in rewatching MyFroggyStuff's earlier videos, and occasionally venture to watch some of the newer content.

    Antique looking furniture

Dear MyFroggyStuff--I don't know if you're familiar with the heirloom sewing industry, but a woman named Martha Pullen (now retired) was at the forefront of heirloom sewing by machine (instead of hand stitching). She, along with many other talented women, taught sewing classes around the nation. She took along her own machines encased in machine protection covers and took them as carry-on on domestic flights. Sewing machines don't handle cargo holds well. Rough handling by the baggage personnel can do a lot of damage to the factory settings (that's a trip to the repair shop) and the plastic unit can be damaged as well. So, when buying your ticket, check with the airline to ensure that your case will fit in the overhead bins. Most flight attendants will not take responsibility for putting them in the flight attendants' closet or storage.
