- i will admit, i was kinda wrong about the mako carbine and it may or may not be one of my favourite high end long ammo rifles, buuut i still kinda dislike the new army swift... :3

New Army Swift dualies with FMJ are nuts when fighting in compounds. Being able to blast through walls and floors can be very deadly, especially when paired with another compact FMJ ammo weapon like the Marathon or Vandal for a higher ammo pool
I would say the New Army Swift is one of a handfull of Hunt weapons that are hands-down the best with regular ammo. No need to stress about ammo economy when basic compact ammo practically grows on trees. I mostly agree with you about the Mako: although levering can have some niche uses, it's basically just another multishot long ammo rifle. I do hope we see the Claw come to some other long guns, though. It's an interesting utility.
I just can't get enough of that video ending soundtrack. It fits with your theme and catracter so well, Peebs!
For me, the swift is the king of "I am in one hell of a pickle and the faster I get my main form of close ranged defense back the better". I also like running dumdum over FMJ on it to lean in on that whole "this is a self defense gun first and foremost, and a chaos causer second."
The New Army swift for me is a good weapon to run when I am taking a more medium to long range primary and I need a pistol that can fight off a push or even push myself if I need to enter the boss lair. Sure other pistols like the Officer and Bornheim extended can fit that role too for not that much money, but the New Army swift just feels good for me to run personally.

I still love the new army swift, just because I never actually find myself running out of ammo, so why not.
Usually I'll run it as a close range "panic button" with a medium ammo rifle that I'm going to be using for 90% of my shooting. The thought being, if someone's at midrange I'm going to be using my centennial/vetterli anyway so why would I need a midrange pistol? But if someone is very close range, it's fast rate of fire is best in slot.
Finally, dumdum ammo is really powerful to tag an enemy with, even at far range for the pressure.
But yeah, it's still not as good as the spitfire, which is clearly the best all around, versatile, S tier pistol in the game.

Bullet velocity hurts it a lot, I usually just run it with base ammo.
Biggest boon for that gun is that it will two tap with an arm and a chest shot. It's a dollar store dolch. Also that it doesn't require any traits to be devastating at short range.
My buddies and I do a lot of derringer runs so I have a lot of practice with slow bullets out of spammy guns.
The Mako's winning trait in my opinion is its superior 125 one tap range when you use FMJ (along with kick ass irons). The only non-single shot rifle to compete with it in this regard is the Martini Ironside.
The problem is the bullet velocity, both on Mako and Martini.
Im not a big fun of holding that amount of damage over range if is critical to hit targets.
Mako´s FMJ 405 m/s is already slow (specially for a long ammo) and Ironside with FMJ holds TONS of damage, but with 330/s is something that i really dont want.
Lebel already holds 125 damage at 50 meters and still holds a very high 630 m/s of Bullet Velocity making it a lot more viable for long range combat.
It´s cheaper than Mako with FMJ and far more effective over range.
I think Mako is a bit better at closer ranges because of faster firing rate and since you dont need bullet grubber you can expend it in Levering, just in case... LoL.
This is the trend with HSD weapon tier videos. Creators post their honest opinion, people rage over placement, and creators then backpedal. Buddy, stick to your guns - it was a good take. You’re doing great with the content. ❤

your tier list is objectively correct. However, you called it in the video that dinner guns just feel good. After your video I went and played the new army and it felt so good.
I don't know if it's just because I have played a lot of slow velocity guns, but I'm used to small less adjustments for strafing etc.
I find the Mako a good rifle, it has nice iron sights and is just a good all rounder. I run with it from time to time. I just find other long ammo rifles more my choice. The New Army, for me personally and my play style, is just not as good as other side arms and therefore I don’t use it very often at all. Personally I prefer the Officer or Spitfire for rate of fire and damage. But I generally stick more to Pax, Scottfield or LeMat for good solid choices. Although watching your gameplay, I’m keen to give it some attention and try it out again.
Seeing that bow/dualies load out on the ground makes me want a medium weapon ARCHETYPE tier list. Cuz that can't be good.

@@peebnute like dualies, precision pistols, cut down rifles, hand cannons, bow. Seeing medium weapons is pretty rare (and usually with quartermaster instead of m/m) and so a discussion of how you feel they fit into loadout design would be interesting.

I feel like the NA Swift really excels when you use it as an "oh shit there's a guy right in front of me" panic weapon. Just turn a corner and dump all 6 rounds into anything that moves. Not really a play style worthy of 5-6 star lobbies, but it gets the job done against dumber players.
i don't care what anyone says, the centennial will ALWAYS be my number one 🥺

I have! The Krag is one of those weapons where I just can never hit my shots for some reason, not that that's the weapons fault though. I don't hate it but maybe I just need more practice with it!

As a New Army enthusiast, thank you for giving it another chance. It’s very strong up close with good hipfire and clean sights. I personally like the Swift variant more because I use it up close, but I think the average player would like the normal variant. Great video as always, Peeb! 🫡
