Sir I backtested this techniqe on the 16th June expiry and 23rd June expiry put, there were loss of aprx loss of Rs. 5000 but that might be due to abnormal expiry.
Do not do this for 1 week, test for atleast 1 year then tell me???

@@IBBMIndia if I sell my short strikes 500 points from the spot and buy the monthly hedge 1000 points from the spot then I m not actually buying too much of time value..let me give u the example of my current weekly diagonal in nifty
Sell 21400 pe Feb - 31
Sell 22500 ce Feb - 23
Buy 23000 ce Mar - 93
Buy 21000 pe Mar - 84
So obviously the March expiry options won't give up all the time value right??

Sir. Super explanation of the Diagonal spread. My query is in Bank Nifty, you said we have to go far at 500 points from ATM, do we have to sell the product in case of Nifty at 500 points away? As you see the Nifty is not as volatile as Bank Nifty, 500 points is not big difference?

Hello Sudhanshu Ji, Good Effort for explaining this strategy. I back-test this strategy ifrom 2022 Year. My results are contradicting what you explained, Pls check below points.. Tested on Stockmock Option tools manually for each week.
1) As you explained If Market reached to one of Bought Legs then we will square off and come of trade with Zero Loss Approx. But Its not happening we were sitting at least in 2-3% Loss when market reached to your one of the Leg
2) Even Market close on Upper and Lower Bought Leg then It is not guaranteed to we will seating on profit, At many scenario we were at loss
Kindly check, This strategy is very risky even in Past I traded as well. Its very risky when we talk about Risk Vs Rewards. I'll share results as well for one week Kindly check above points

Observation is once market reached to your bought legs, we were seating loss at 11,000 its very big for 1 lot. So Pleast check from your end, Strategy is not safe I traded many time, Even Market close in the same range then its not necessary we are seating on Profit .... Thanks
dear sir when it came to one of the bought legs it must have come with a spark, then also you MTM will have been low and you will getting profit from the other side. if it comes slowly this will not happen further when you squared off one leg did you created the same at higher strikes??? recheck PLZ

if it is a calendar spread your payoff graph will be wrong, as calendar wings 0 nahn hote, but your graph will assume them to be 0, Isliye calendar ka payoff graph banana galat hai, or wo sahi view nahn degaa
