Yes this is the song he wrote for his mother! I think only few days after it was released his sister also passed away. He's been through a lot and yet his songs have a kind of hope in it and that's absolutely commendable! I love him and he's just so strong!
yes, this song was about Louis's mum, his dad left them when Louis was really small, he was always a mam's boy, later his mother remarried and he got his last name 'Tomlinson from his step father, he also had 7 siblings all younger than him and his sister Felicite passed away a few days after this song came out and she was only 18. Louis' mum was also very young when she had Louis, I think she was 18 and Louis always said in interviews and everywhere that his mum is his best friend, btw you should check out Richard's bucket list video, I will link it down below ua-cam.com/video/6QpwOKFkzmA/v-deo.html
Johanna (his mum) was the one who encouraged him to go solo after 1d "went on a break"(he wanted to just become a writer because he wasn't confident enough he'd make it as a solo artist) so "I promised you I'd do this, so all of this is all for you" is about Jay being his motivation to keep making music, keep living his best life for the two of them... and look at him now - he sells out arenas for his world tour, makes Guinness record, has millions of loving fans') I know this song rewokes sad emotions but it's also hopeful and with a message to keep the loved ones you lost in your memory and keep living and now Louis performs it with a smile:)
also this was a very heartfelt reaction!! I loved it and this song never fails to make me emotional and still I listen to it daily cuz it is just beautiful!!
Thank you for your reaction! Yes, it’s about his mom. Louis had the best relationship with her, he was a proud mommy’s boy and he made sure everyone knew that. It hurts even more knowing how close they were! And I didn’t even know his mom personally but she used to be so active on twitter talking to fans and telling stories about Louis when he was a kid, she’s so lovely and kind. Amazing mother and human being. It absolutely breaks my heart just thinking about her loss, and how her kids must’ve felt.. I don’t wish that kind of pain on anyone. Please react to the live version of this? It captures the emotions of the audience, as well, and all of their eyes tell a different story. Idk I just find it so special how almost everyone can connect to the song and relate it to something, knowing how much this song helped a lot of people deal with grief. The fans already have a great bond with Louis, but this is another level with each sharing a vulnerable side. Anyway, here’s a link: ua-cam.com/video/EAjHWO09ltk/v-deo.html
It's not really the next song in his writing progression but it is the first single from his album. He started writing the album around 2016/2017 and it wasn't finished until 2019 and released in January 2020. He released some singles that are not on the album in 2017 and there are also a couple of songs that were written in 2017 on the album. But back to this beautiful song. I don't know exactly when he wrote it, only that is was on his mind for a long time to write a song like it but it was actually one of his co-writers that first wrote a bit of the chorus. After that everything just clicked and came out. It's a tough song. Loss is always difficult. I think he expresses it perfectly. You feel it deeply. But I also think it brings hope and the feeling of not giving up. It's a great comfort. Thank you so much for your reaction to Louis. This is my no 1 fav song on his album.
I have Lyrics tattooed from this song!! Promo for this was paused as he sadly lost his sister around the same time!! Loved the reaction. Here for anything Louis related 💙
@@theaverageopinion9589 don’t think I can upload photos here! Got it for my Mum and Dad 💙 But you once told me don’t give up You can do it day by day And Diamonds don’t turn to dust or fade away 💙
You are on track. Its a tough song to perform. Its even harder for us fans to process thru the emotional trauma of such deep, double whammy of a loss. That was the stumbling factor that delayed his solo album release for four years. No question, the Tommo is a rock solid inspiration for everyone of us. His second album is on the way.....get ready mate!
as about Liam and Zayn's music - I don't listen to a lot of them but I think people usually start reacting with "strip that down" by Liam(I'd recommend live from Brits) and "pillow talk" by zayn(his first single after 1d) altho my favourite songs by zayn are "calamity" and "tightrope" but I don't think they were singles nor have music videos(and Zayn doesn't do a lot of live performances due to his anxiety) but his last album "Nobody is listening" is really cool (but again I don't know much so maybe listen to someone else)
Yes, this is a heavy song. For Liam's music, react to "Strip that down live at the BRITS", "bedroom floor live at Ellenshow", "Familiar ft. J Balvin official music video", "midnight live at the BRITS2021" & "get low ft. Zedd official music video". There's also "drop the mic Liam Payne vs Jason Derulo which is fun to react to.
Go over to my Harry Styles Kiwi reaction and show it some love. It was blocked for a few days but it's back up 😃
