Lindsey Stirling is a UA-cam artist who got her start on America's Got Talent, a TV talent show. She is a trained dancer who dances while she plays violin. She then built a UA-cam following and now does YT videos, recordings and tours worldwide.
When they recorded this Lindsey was the UA-cam star and Pentatonix was really just becoming known, this collab was Lindsey showing support for the talented newcomers
Lindsey is an extremely talented violinist who is also a dancer. She incorporates both in her music...and her music is wonderful. I suggest you have a look at her videos. I think you'll really love her stuff. Meanwhile...suggestions for PTX...other than the songs Carol Scott recommended, try some of their newer stuff from The Lucky Ones album: Happy Now, Be My Eyes, Love Me When I Don't, Come Along, Coffee in Bed.
This is another PTX upgrade. I have to say that I like it better than the original. For more PTX songs with instruments there's Over The River, Papaoutai, Say Something, Perfect, and Thank You just to name a few.
Here's the link to a fun behind-the-scenes video by FifGen Films, who also shot and edited PTX's "Daft Punk Medley" and "Love Again" music videos: ua-cam.com/video/2do2V8lJjN8/v-deo.html
The original was a huge hit for Imagine Dragons 10 years ago so I'm sure you heard it somewhere. I like the Pentatonix version better -- Scott's vocals are perfect for the song and Avi and Kevin's beat is easier on the ears. And the PTX video is more appropriate for the lyrics. ISTR the Imagine Dragons video is about illegal Muppet fighting.
Nicely done! I think the most remarkable takeaway was, that you, a violinist, in this day and age, didn't know Lindsey Stirling! With six gold/platinum studio albums, 651 concerts in 13 sell-out tours 12.7M subscribers and over 6.7B views, she's not unheard of. This is akin to a Catholic not knowing who the Pope is.😄 Anyway, I hope you explore Lindsey's body of work further. You will be amazed. I'd add further but, as she's pretty much hyperbole personified, you need to see for yourself. Good luck.

Great reaction to a cool video, Lindsey and Kevin are so talented!
Recommend their cover of Seasons Of Love.
Lindsey has some beautiful videos, and of course PTX is awesome! Thank you for sharing your thoughts ❤
It's amazing!!!! They only do upgrades... not covers.
