I have this exact model from eBay a couple years ago. Battery “died” but I realise in hindsight may have been lack of charge out of sunlight, I had no idea it was solar 🤦♂️. Anyway bought the V175 as shown, followed your instructions and bingo all good. I’ll leave it in daylight when not wearing now, live an learn. Thanks very much 👍
I have the same watch and it has stopped. How long did you leave it in the sunlight?
I have this same V175 watch, bought it what was supposed to be "As new" condition, but when i received it, it was not running. I thought it needed to be charged, so I set it in the sunlight for a couple days and had no luck it ran very eratically and soon there after quit again. I though maybe the solar charging system was shot. After a little research i found that a new battery could be installed so i ordered the same battery you did. I havnt recieved it yet but i did open it up to get it prepared and low and behold it has the same REN 371 battery in it as yours did. There must be an internet page out there telling people to put these in.
Do I need to get that specific battery? REN 371?

How mach V175 solar battery
Think it is called a capacitor i have the black and green version of this watch,one of my favourite out of my 25 watches.I am a bench jeweller by trade i started my apprenticeship in 1982 where i did my 5 year apprenticeship in Johannesburg.
