My favourite players of all time. Absolute warrior unselfish, quick, strong, technical, aggressive, and a workhorse who did what Fergie asked him to do.
He should be remembered as an all-time great, but his decline at Man utd, him going away to the States and return as a slow deep midfielder at Derby it felt like his otherwise All Time Great Career just fizzeled away at the end. Maybe because he was a wonder kid and played with no concerns for his health on the pitch meant it always had to end that way....For me one of the finest players i've seen , Wayne Rooney had the full package as a footballer.
Agree. Well as Cantona said leave footy b4 it leaves you. Personally I can look past it - esp his U. S. exploits, he still had something left as a striker at that point - as it was just a matter of his personal interest to want to carry on. I'd stop averaging out his career post united and definitely post U. S. as far as stats are concerned.
This mofo was another level, lot of the kids don’t understand how good he was. Actually id go far as saying even with all the hype around him he still was underrated. Was a don
Rooney receives a pass, dribble a couple of defensers and scores. Celebrates with the teammate who passed the ball to him. Ronaldo receives a pass in front of the goal line, scores a tap in and celebrates alone. Differences between a good player and a legendary player...
Ronaldo is far more legendary than Rooney ever will be. Cristiano Ronaldo has more assists, more goals, more league titles, more Ballon D'ors, more UCL. People act like Ronaldo isn't a great team player, but he has over 200+ assists, and won titles for multiple teams. Without Ronaldo, Rooney never wins the UCL, but without Rooney, Ronaldo won 4.
@@raghstoriches1497 Here he is: one of the people that rates players by counting achivements and statistics, instead of what they bring on the pitch. UCL are won by teams, not by players alone. Ballon d'Or are won only if you are in the team who won the UCL, not if you are actual the best player. Goals and assists depends too from the whole team and not by the single player. Some people still count them as a measure of skills, even if there are tons of examples that demonstrate that them are not so reliables. Here are a couple of reasons for which I choose Rooney over Ronaldo: - despite beeing a striker, you could often found him fighting for the ball in defense line - when the team was not playing good, he took more effort and gave more on the pitch, instead of whining and complaining with teammates. - other team players played alongside him and not for him, so that moving the ball around was less predictable and the environment in the locker room was healthy. But yes... Count goals and trophies.
man was an absolute elite in his prime. top 5 of his generation
top 5?? top 3 since 2008 bebind messi and ronaldo
Legendary Wayne Rooney in my book. Wayne Rooney made me fall in love with the sport

That volley is just insane .
He was a big striker. He was my idol and hero... When I say what is striker, he is the first name that comes to my mind and always will be.
Never be another rooney bursting on scene he was unbelievable
Young Wayne is something very close to R9Ronaldo..maybe more power and less technique. Both were young monsters playing among men. Brillant!!❤
Campione mai dimenticato Wayne

Definitely Manchester United's greatest striker
Denis Law and Eric Cantona are greater.
Vid amazing. Rooney a boss. We were there
The Bad Boy
This guy was a beast
Anyone who calls him over rated knows nothing about football
I think that other guy meant underrated 😂

Rooney worked hard for his entire career for the team until the very end even when his legs were going. Man United legend forever.

Rooney + Luciano Acosta = Dupla perfecta
Um dos últimos ingleses que merecia ser chamando de craque
If Endrick can be as good as him then he will be the best player in world
We will treat him well at argyle.
Evan ferguson will be his replacement in the premier league who ever signs him
