Charl, I am impressed! DAB hand with a screw gun! And top cleaner and decorator too! The CAD was fab too! I am so excited for you all!!
Ahh thank you for being so lush! Yeah getting good at them CAD now too x
Great idea ,a lot easier to drive . Ww look forward to see the way the van looks . We both look forward to the updates cheers 😎👍
Thank you 🤩
Great to see you both back. Looking forward to watching this build to completion 👍
Thank you for being so lush xx
Glad you are back.looking forward to your build xx
Ahh thank you means a lot x
Ooooh, very exciting. Handy to have a van builder in the family 🙂
😂😂😂
I had to wear sunglasses watching you both. but will concentrate on the van build which looks like will be a good one
Sunglasses will sort that out 😂😂😂
Great to see you back, can’t wait to see the new van ❤
Thank you x
I can’t wait to see how the van turns out the layout with the pop up roof sounds awesome 😊👍
Thank you x
Great vlog can't wait to see the results love watching you all xx😊
Thank you appreciate the support hope you like it xx
My grandson uses a cab bed with a self inflating mattress, works great and rolls up to about the size of a brush pole. I love your layout idea where you can sit around the table and changes to a bed for the boys. Couple of sleeping bags and boom your away. Looking forward to your new build,Sometimes its the simple things that make it work. 😊👌
Thank you and yes you are probably right xx
Love it can’t wait to see the finished product 👍
Thank you
@@TheRollingRucks Just been reading some of the negative comments on here what you choose to do big or small van is nobody’s business but your own not asking anyone else to pay for it you are very polite
Better to try stuff then have regret’s
👍
I've got a camper van and a canvas bell tent with log burner. One thing I can say is canvas holds heat. If you've got the diesel heater on in your van given heat rises the popup roof bed could potentially be the warmest part of your van... personally I'd go with the pop top as I can only guess your going to need as much room as possible in the van
Thank you for your advice and yeah you may be right x
I’m glad there is another family out there like us! We make rash decisions go with it, doesn’t work do something else and on and on!
Exactly! 👍 life is for living and it’s definitely too short enjoy yourselves xx
Am glad youre going back to adventure camper. Gives you more options.
Thank you we think so too x
You guys should get a teardrop trailer to take with you the boys would love it
That’s a great idea! 💡
welcome back to vanlife, guys! I must admit from when I used to drive a big motorhome, I was glad to downsize and get Viv. easier to park and way better MPG. Cant wait to see big yeller become your new mobile home on wheels and seeing what Stu does at Vanology on his channel, its deffo gonna be epic. Much respect to you both 🙏- Kenny
Thank you Kenny that means a lot hope you are well x
@@TheRollingRucks I'll be better when Viv is finished lol. I keep watching Vanology and going...."you know what, could do with that in mine lol" I'm now looking at expensove inverters, better dc to dc chargers and other bits" watching you guys costs me money lol 🙏- Kenny
🩷😂😂 you will get there x
Looking forward to seeing your new van build 👍
Thank you can’t wait to get this one done and back in the road!
Wow guys this is a total shock but am excited for you all, got to admit i loved the A class you had but did see for my self the struggles you had with the size of it when visiting the places you went to, so although will miss seeing you all in it, totally understand your reasons for getting this van and doing your own build looking forward to seeing the end result and following you all as a family on your travels in it, happy van building guys so amazing ❤😊
Thank you for being so lush and understanding our choices probably better we’re building one again tbh xx
@ certainly be interesting to see how you kit it out, i never saw the Crafter you had 😊
The crafter was a year or so ago x
@ oh ok x
Looking forward to this one glad to c you back 😀
Hope you enjoy! Thank you for the support x
Great to see you guys back looking forward to the new
Van build and your new adventures o and I love the new teeth 😊
Thank you we hope you enjoy the vids xx
Wow that’s brilliant news loved your crafter look forward to how this one turns out 🤙🤙🤙
Thank you 🤩 should have some really nice touches on this one
Really missed you guys happy to see your back Iam originally from Scotland but now live in Algeria I built my own van here with my son it was my dream but the husband not so Keen on camping so ended up selling it after just one trip I miss it loads even just sitting in it on the drive I felt happy😊
Sorry to hear you had to sell it! We have felt lost without ours for only a few months hope you manage to get another one x
@TheRollingRucks I don't think it's some thingbi will do again iam 55 I done what I needed to do so will just leave it there now . Thankyou for the reply
Wow, that's a shock, I thought you'd found your forever van when you found the A class, but I can see your point for changing, take care guys
We love the a class but does prevent some really cool park ups which we are missing out on
Yay looking forward to this one, I did think that A class was to big.
Yes didn’t realise until we were trying to go around in it x
@@TheRollingRucksit was nice though
Yes very nice and layout was perfect for the family just restricted in where we could go x
Great to see you tackle a new project, that van looks bigger that the Crafter and whatever layout you have I am sure it will work for you. I too am undecided on the poptop, they do lose a lot of heat in the cold and wet weather, reminds me of the time I saw a van travelling towards me on A48 with the poptop still extended....oops.....Look forward to seeing this one progress....
Thank you and you are right pop top wise it’s a Gough one as we often go hotter places but typically still contend with rain now and then haha x
Really sorry to hear about the downsizing but I'm sure with the cost of living, kids growing up, business rate hikes etc it means a lot less sleepless nights for you both. Good luck with the new van conversion
Thank you we are downsizing for the adventures xx
Loving your new teath just waiting for my finals
Good luck with yours xx
Fab! Another build to watch. Hope you show us how it’s done not just tell us, even timelapse’s are good to watch 😎👍🏻
Of course will make sure there’s a few time lapses haha x
Can’t beat yellow van.
We done high full length bed and single bed under, still have lots garage space.
Awesome to hear that thank you x
We’ve swapped to and fro with different vehicles and like you have concluded smaller has more pluses and I really don’t miss that extra space. The idea of a cab bed is a great idea for full space utilisation.
Thank you, yes we aren’t in the van all that much it’s purpose is to sleep and move about otherwise we’re sitting outside or exploring so hopefully this will suit us at last x
I disagree because they moaned last time that they didn’t have enough room
@@TheRollingRucksand what’s going to happen when your kids outgrow their bed spaces are you going to be changing to bigger again?
No they can have a van of their own 😂
I don’t believe we moaned rather explained 😂 but we were living in ot full time which we aren’t at the moment x
Look forward to seeing this build finished! Also which products and brands you use equipment wise. Keep the yellow so we can all spot you on the road!! lol
Thank you 🤩 ha no chance I’m staying in a yellow van lol
Pop top big man I will be watching how you perform with that 👍
Thanks 🤩
Steamer is brilliant for getting stuff out the crannies, just need a good supply of dry cloths!
Haha didn’t think of that thank you! 🤩
Missed u guys xxxx
🥰🥰🥰
I would not go for the pop top personally given that you travel to places that aren't always warm and sunny. But whatever you choose I hope it works for your family needs.
Thank you appreciate it c
looking forward to the build also like the Turkish teeth 🤣
🕶️🕶️🕶️
Great video I see that they a solid sided pop top roof for campervan like redtail skyloft which would be much better than canvas
Oooh yes that would be good where do these get fitted please?
I saw the redtail skyloft on UA-cam I believe it's a American company and there are also some Chinese versions I saw videos of on UA-cam as a pop top is good but with solid sides it would be great to use all year , I was thinking perhaps in time if I got a van converted I would prefer the solid pop top roof
It's going to be awesome 👌
Thank you 🤩
Great plans and new adventures ahead. Have you thought of doing a single bunk above your bed for Amelia - across and above the bottom of where your feet will be?
Thank you for the great idea will tell Stu x
Its back to the future then! I dont blame you as i dont think you ever really got on with the Big A Class. They are great when you get where you are going and once you set up and stay put for a while. We like to do 2/3 night max when we are abroad. Our PVC is prefect for us (2). We downsized from a 7.5 m Pilote to what we have now. However all our kids are adults and their children are lovley but we dont take them away with us...Look forward to the build and updates. Does the DHL Van have many miles on it as i thought they hung on to them until they were clapped out..
Yeah you are right we lived it because of the space and being full time thought it would suit us but we are on the move too much to have something that big those vans are designed for relaxation and chill which we aren’t quite ready for so suck it up and have less space but more adventures x
Keep it yellow ❤
There is no perfect vehicle, it's either too small to be comfortable or too big to park in alot of places. Unfortunately there is no balance as you will always ideally want the opposite to what you have.
The best option is to decide which one is more important and adjust to it , unless of course you have a UA-cam channel and want the clicks....lol
Yes that’s what we have realised and to be fair we only sleep in there mostly outside adventuring and would rather the tight spots x
Brilliant channel had to put sunglasses on for ur teeth 😂fantastic family ❤
Haha 😜 they are a bit bright lol xx
We buy a new van or motorhome every two years 😂 so, yeah, totally get that ❤
Haha it’s definitely a big x
My goodness, why do they make the teeth so bright.😂😂❤
They could have been two shades whiter!
Tow a box trailer for stuff you would put in garage..
That’s a good idea x
Turkish teeth 😀. Welcome back 👍
😂😂😂 thank you x
You are always having time off. Colleen 😊
👍
Ur family is magic lol
Thank you that’s so lush x
Are you able to say roughly what a conversion like this might cost? We currently have a large caravan which we do struggle with on Spanish sites. Hubby wants a Moho and a like the space of a Moho but I think if we had a big van with a conversion to suit us I think it would work.
Very difficult to say as price changes with specification, materials and electric set up. We aim to spend a bit but most start from around 10k of converting yourself materials can be expensive so worth whittling it down and sometimes need to compromise we learned that when doing our crafter we massively over spent x
Brill guys life’s a journey you making best of it I love my self build of the the tag axle we ad atb
Yeah we loved ours too so much choice with a self build we will miss the space of the a class but that’s it really x
Lovely teeth guys. ❤
Your 1st motorhome the roller team seemed a nice size for you all. The a class far too big but a transit van for 5 with ever growing kids is too small.
Those boys will soon be huge. I like watching your lovely family whatever you do but with Stuart’s amazing van building skills could you have not gone for a Luton type van to give you a bit more space. I really liked your 1st van best.
Be happy whatever you do because I can’t imagine how much money you have now lost on that gorgeous A class. It is a stunning motorhome but better suited to American roads not for Europe.
Thank you ;-)
Yeah we lived the rollerteam too, this van is bigger than the previous one so hoping it will suit us better Stu has designs for days haha x
@ I also think keep the yellow
Have you thought about a HappiJac power bed lift or equivalent?
Now we’re talking!! X
If you get stuck with anything, give me a ring and lll fix it for you...lm a professional. 😁
😂😂😂 we can’t do it without you tbh you may have to come down here soon x
DHL van nice
Thank you x
I think you’ve made the right decision getting a smaller van
Thank you x
I’ve never known or come across someone who doesn’t seem to know what they want as you two, chopping and changing it’s hard to keep up, one minute it’s motorhome then small conversion, back to larger motorhome because the other wasn’t big enough, now going back down in size, your going to be in the same position as last time when you said not enough room, one day perhaps you will finally decide what you want and stick with it
Life is for living and we aren’t all the same. We can be impulsive and change our minds but when you have 3 kids it can be hard to get the space or layout right. We are only human after all
I see why you've been gone for so long! You've both had your teeth veneered 😬 I prefer a van conversion to a motorhome too 👍
Haha 😜 thank you x
Hi Stu and Charlene. Hope u are all well. New van looks nice but surprised you got rid of your nice new one although bit was quite large, I understand. The sprinter looks clean, what sort of miles did it have on it?. Best very interested as always to watch your professional build. Our ex Sainsbury van is performing well. Very well insulated, were on fridge box campers Facebook. We're on 136000 miles but on 7g auto very smooth uses no oil at all. Good luck with it, best wishes to you all . Hope u all have a great Xmas. Best wishes David and Beverley Norfolk
We still have it technically until it sells but missed adventures with the kids felt like campsites were a must. Thank you for supporting us x
How much was the DHL van? I'm looking for one, where best to keep a look out to pick one up?
We found ours in wales plenty about at the moment from 12k upwards
I did think as a campervan converter owning a A-class was a bit 🤦♂️
We bought the a class for space being full time but we have leaned it was too big for us
Wow Turkey teeth 😁
😂😂😂
Pop top, no more kid coffins please.
😂😂😂
Have you had your teeth done 😊😁😘😍
What do you mean??? 😂😂😂
@TheRollingRucks lovely 🌹
How do you manage without a shower? We have to have a shower on board to wild camp all the time!
We visit campsites or lesuire centres etc rather than on board
Just a quick question guys tomorrow we will be in Gibraltar were did you park was it at the airport watching with interest Andy
Hello we parked at la linea which is the docks in Spain next to the Gib border
Have you both been to Turkey? 😁😁
No idea what gave it away 😂😂😂
Yellow ... ex-DHL?
Did you not listen 😂😂
Yes it is ;-)
Now this is exciting viewing, the A class is cool but I think if I had it I’d be too scared to mess it up… best suited to an old retired couple probably haha…the DHL will be a proper family camper, go anywhere, see everything workhorse that you can cook a roast dinner in and not worry about the smells haha!
Love it, can’t wait to see the new colour!!
Thank you that’s awesome of you to say x
Perfect teeth.. 👌

Another channel that cannot get the right vehicle, crafter was too small for 5 so lets do another the same.
So what, they tried and it didn't work for them and I totally get it. Each to their own 🤷♂️
This one is bigger allowing us the layout we wanted for the crafter but we’re only human and can make our mistakes
There is a leisure vehicle for every type and eventuality. We can make the smallest caravan or the biggest motorhome fit our holiday travels, it doesn’t stand to reason that you have to buy one and stick with it.
Good to see you guys again, have you not thought of a drop down bed for Emilia above the dinett
Great to see you back! x
Crikey camper van to A class back to camper van for 5 people = BMW
Good luck with this one burning a mega hole in the finances 👍
Yes it’s been a challenge but everyone can change their mind or make mistakes x
Looks like your going broke.
What is that supposed to mean?
Sorry to say I told you so but it was a big mistake to buy that huge great thing ….not that it was lovely quality and of course not some British made shit but as I said to huge for general driving about in Europe and uk . Good lick with new purchase.🦧
Thank you,
