Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 лют 2025
- In this video we will show you the top things to do in Kota Bharu, we started our morning at the best place to have breakfast, the one and only Kopitiam Kita delicious Roti Titab a must try when in Kota Bharu, we then visited the oldest market in the city the Pasar Pokok Pinang.
Something new in the city is the street art, we even got the privilege of meeting one of the artists.
No visit to Kota Bharu is completed without strolling around the Pasar Besar Siti Khadijah and to finish in style we had the famous Nasi Kerabu at the Pasar Malam.

You might didn't catch or understand what the uncle at the back said when you bought the salak (dragon egg) fruit but he asked the aunty who sold the salak fruits to choose only the good ones for you then the aunty replied "yes, i'm already choosing the good ones". I think that was pretty cute. :) By the way, your malay is really good and the nasi kerablue puns?....please....
We weren’t really paying attention to their conversation whilst we were filming, there was a lot going on around us plus in Kelantan even the standard malay is spoken very fast it’s hard to keep track 😂 we have to watch that part again to see if we manage to understand some words 🙃
We got to speak with the gentleman a little bit his English was limited and so our malay but we managed to understand each other 😄
That was really nice of them and glad we got it on camera for everyone to hear it, Malaysian people are terbaik 😁😁😁🙃
The puns we have to credit our friends, they came up with the kerablue ahahah
@@Travelgramers Haha i didn't expect you to understand it because the locals here in kelantan, we talk in kelantanese dialect and the dialect is pretty 'thick' that even some malays outside kelantan find it difficult to understand let alone you guys, foreigners. So don't feel bad for not catching it, you're doing really well with your malay, i'm impressed! Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in kelantan and malaysia as a whole!
Ohh if they were speaking full on Kelantanese we don’t understand anything it sounds like a different language to us our brain switches off every time someone talks Kelantanese 🤯😂 We stick to standard malay and leant you say Kelate or Kekata instead of Kelantan and call Teh o beng to teh o ais 😝
We are having a good time in Malaysia thank you.
Stay safe
@@Travelgramers next time you try order 'singa beng' or it is lime/calamansi ice juice..hahaha
We sometimes have teh o ice limau would it be similar? 🤔
Ahh the couple you are with - we stayed in the same complex in KL! Small world
No way? 😂 😂 😂
They are such cool people hope you guys had the pleasure of spending some time with them 😄😄
small Malaysia actually 😋
most appreciate to you guys promoting kelantan.. as i know kelantan is more to islamic value than any others in malaysia.. they have unique lifestyle compared to any other major city/country.. i'm saying this because most non-malay especially politician always talk bad about kelantan eg no cinema, no casino, 7e cannot sell alcoholic drink and many more.. i hope many more tourist will come to kelantan and enjoy their modest culture despite the lack of 'fun' that is forbidden here.. well done to all of you! terima kasih !
Being different is what makes it unique 😁😁😁
U definitely can communicate well in Malay Language. U can speak Malay n understand spoken Malay. Splendid. D nasi kerabu looks amazingly delicious.
Grade A street art! Wow, great find
I was really impressed, it was prettier then the one in Ipoh for sure 🙃🙃
Kopitiam Kita! Perfect place to start off this video
You know it ahaha 😁😁😁🥳
We still think of that Roti Titab! 🤤🤤
Same here... it‘s so simple but it’s so good at the same time 😄
We really enjoy watching your videos!!
Same same 💛💛
wow u were speaking Bahasa when buying things! keep it up i like it haha!
We’re trying to learn 😁😁
yeah dat helps a lot especially in Kelantan..keep it up!!
Feeeeewit sapa sini dio ado , hahaha
D scene in Laluan Seni & Budaya is very special in this video.
Kopitiam Kita is an amazing place for breakfast, not only for d locals but also for d foreign tourists.
So many wonderful comments from your travelling friends.
Yaaaa it was nice to meet them 😁😁😁
Weldone.. Welcome.. Enjoying.. Lovely.. Wonderful.. Thank you very much for visiting my motherland state.. Wonderful promoting our cultures and heritage all over the world.. Hoping one day to meet and join you all guys.. Thanks so much.. สวัสดีครับ ขอบคุณมากนะครับ.🙏♥️🌷🎶😎🌝❤️💚🌼🌻🎼🎵 "" STREET OF DREAM ""
im from Malaysia , Kota bharu kelantan...i like watching your videos .
Thank you so much 😊
Eating nasi kerabu with hand n also already can speak Malay with the locals, nice👍👍👍keep it up guys!
Terima Kasih 😁😁
the best way to eat nasi kerabu;
1. Mix everything (the herbs/salad/spices)
2. eat
We wanted to taste everything separately but joao ate with his hands he ended mixing everything and we then did the same 😂
U definitely can communicate well in Malay Language. U can speak Malay n understand spoken Malay. D nasi kerabu looks amazingly delicious.
Your video gets a lot of views when making a video about Kelantan. ❤🇲🇾
So glad we could meet up with you guys again. Fun times in Kota Bharu 🥰
Our breakfasts at Kopitiam Kita 👌🏾
I can almost taste it thinking about it 😊😋
Same here can almost taste it 😂
Really happy that we got to spend some time with you before u guys head back 😘 😘
See you again
Nice video and great (BM) Bahasa Malaysia!
6:21 - Here is a small example of Kelantanese dialect...
(BM) Kelantanese : Blanjo dio makè la.
(BM) Standard : Belanjalah dia makan.
Meaning : Treat them (something) to eat.
just so you're aware you may find it difficult to communicate in English here especially with elderly persons. Glad to know that you guys know some bahasa , even though our dialect is pretty much different from the standard, it surely helps. Happy travelling!
It was fun trying to communicate in Malay since our malay is very limited and in Kelantan people speak very fast even when they speak standard malay, Kelantanese was impossible to understand 😂
Stay safe 😉😉
I can't wait for this Covid to over and go to Kelantan..you guys are crazy on Nasi Kerabu..and it makes me drool...🤤. Enjoy guys. Stay safe.
You too stay safe 😉😉😁

Nice city kota baharu

Hello hello Issey
We are now going down on the east coast but yeah hope we can meet again.
Hope you enjoy next week and send us your video 😁😁
Being the locals ourselves, we tend to neglect such interesting places like the ones you showed in your videos .. probably because we normally already plan ahead where to visit especially to the Pasar Siti Khatijah to shop for the batiks .. so after watching your video, I felt a lot of regrets for not strolling freely like you both did ... thank you for sharing useful infos and for another excellent video .. but above all .. to see and hear how you tried to communicate in Malay language .. this part is the best .. you have acquired quite a good skill in bahasa Melayu now and Joao ... your malay accent is Perrrrfect bro 👍👍👌 congratulations !🥳🥳🥳
Wow wow after 7 months in malaysia and this being our third time here it’s only fair that we learn the language at least enough to order food 😄😃
And don’t worry it happens the same to us every time we go back home, we don’t explore our own country the same way we do in other countries 🤔🤔 😂
@@Travelgramers I studied in th UK and so like you I also traveled a lot there as well as europe but I have never been to Portugal .. when Covid is clear and the borders are open, I will make sure that I go to Portugal .. and before I do, I will seek for your advice .. take care and stay safe always 🌺
If you make it to Portugal please let us know 😃 it’s a small country but it’s beautiful 😍
Nice bro . Enjoy your travel 😍😍😘
Thank you 😊
I just watched your video on your visit to pasar malam on the last day of ramadhan in langkawi...you already ate nasi kerabu before this video. But these were more authentic one...original from the mother state :)
Exactly, back then we were not impressed with the Nasi Kerabu but now we can say it’s good 😁😁
original nasi kerabu kelantan/terengganu memang the best
Great tip thanks 😉😉
Nasi kerabu verry good.yum yum yum
Yummy 😋
Nice nasi kerabu 😍
Nasi kerabu and nasi kukus stim rice yumm 🤤
You guys must hear ‘Ronaldo’ a lot, when you mention you are from Portugal 😂😂
Hmm sometimes but not too much big one 😂 😂
the legend luis figo also famous here a few year back..
Some people also mention him to us as well but mostly Ronaldo of course 😁😁
@@Travelgramers please send my regard to Ronaldo, I feel happy if he transfer to join Kelantan Football (Kelantan FA) 😆
Ahahah that’s funny 😂
Almost all southeast asian countries have similar markets. Its interesting to watch the similarities.
True 😁😁😁
Wow that seller explain to you very detail about the places
Yes 🙃🙃🙃
@@Travelgramers haha, as a kelantanese myself i was cringing to hear what she has to say.. the not so nice side, but you guys were gracious enough..
We never take things to serious she was just trying to say that at the end part the food was non halal 🙃🙃🙃
Hello from Australia! We love watching all your videos especially the ones from Malaysia and enjoy them as I am originally from Penang.
We were supposed to be there in April 2020 but had decided to cancel because of the virus - so watching your Malaysian adventures was like a virtual holiday for us. Keep on keeping on!
Ahaha glad you feel that way, we were in Georgetown 2 years ago if you want to see our video from your island will be on the Malaysia playlist 🙃
wow you malay is going better . i think you can learn bahasa Melayu easily and fast
Hope that too 🙃😁😁
@@Travelgramers not only you can speak some malay word.. but the way you eat using your hand make you like malay... and i think both of you has been in Malaysia for maybe 1 year.. been traveling all around through village, town, city in Malaysia... so you now look more malaysia than Portuguese /Greece.
anyway have a nice trip and stay safe.
This is our third time visiting Malaysia 😃 this year we arrived in January. We try to follow the culture of the country we are in so in Malaysia be malay 😂
We are both from Portugal btw 😁😁😁
@@Travelgramers .. that great...have a nice stay and take care... malaysia malaysian love both of you.
Finally.... I been waiting for new video.. Hahahaha
Such a great experience u got..thank you!!!!
#newvideoplease
🤗
It takes us (i say us but i mean joao 😂) one or two days to edit a video and we need to stay in one place without filming so we can be up up date 😂
@@Travelgramers ok thanks...i can't wait to see your new video.
the most important that u guys enjoy yourself..👍
Exactly that’s the most important 😉😉😁
You got new name of nasi kerabu.....nasi colour blue👍😁
Our friends came up with the name, we are just spreading the word now 😂 😂
Nice Bro, I like your video. You can understand Bahasa Melayu. Thank you for coming Malaysia country.
So sweet when a green shirt guy feed his wife at the restaurant you breakfast 😊 i wish I could go to Kota Bharu now because it so long time i went there. Last went there since i was child around 5 or 7 or 6 years old 😊

That is a long time, you should revisit soon 🙃😁
Travelgramers yeah. Seldom and extraordinary moment you film it. I will visit there soon 😊

We miss nasi kerabu!
Nasi kerablue ahaha 😂
If you're in KL, there's a restaurant that sells everything east coast food right across the road from Batu Caves
@@Travelgramers or maybe nasi colorblue? Lol
Yeah that will be a good one as well 😅😅
Kelantan @ Kelate mytown bro. Welcome, Thanks 👍👍
Nice...be with the local is how to travel in malaysia...
Ohh yeah the best way to travel, the locals show us the way 😁🙃🙃
@@Travelgramers that is malaysia...local are the best...coz our culture to treat a guest as family...but dont try be nice with tourist worker that diferend they just want money....sorry my english not very good...real local poeple nice...
In Malaysia even the people that work with tourists are fair and honest but we know what you mean. Hospitality in this country is top.
Your English is good don’t worry 😉😉😉
Nasi kerabu looks delicious 👍👍
It’s because it was 😃😃😃
5:58 "Salok" while over here in Sabah (and most of Malaysia) it is Salak.
Ahhhh I finally remember the 1st market that you went... since I went there when I was really small around 6 years old. I remember it vividly because I was having a fever but my mom was trying to sell off her remaining fish to the seller there. My mom used to be middle (wo)man between the fisherman and the market ... it brings back memories especially you getting a shot after the visit to the market ... but I remember that all those chinese uncles and auntie keep trying to feed me hahahaha
Good memories you have from that place even tho you were a bit ill, there’s some moments in life we can’t forget and this one in particular for you 😁😁
U can communicate in Malay language so well!!!!! Bravo!
Terima Kasih 😁😁
Terbaik...
I guess I’m addicted to your videos!!!
Good addiction 😂 😂
10:10 oh wow. You are unofficially a malaysian now.
what kind of rice did you get Joao?
Nasi Ikan Merah, i think it the fish was tuna 🙃🙃
Ikan merah = red snapper
It makes sense since merah is red 😂 but someone in Kopitiam Kita said it was tuna 🙈
enjoy travel.. like it
Congrat! you speak malay very well.❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍❤️
Aww Terima Kasih 😂
Hello. Next time when u eat nasi kerabu. U try mix all together the ingredients. There taste much delicious
For the first time we wanted to taste all the different ingredients separately but joao ate with his hands and he mixed everything later 😁😁😉
Nice cinematic ...video

Hello
Thanks for your recommendations but I think we are passing the islands this time, we might change our mind and visit some but for now we prefer to stay on the mainland 😆
tq visit my country
It’s our pleasure to be here 🥰🥰
I love nasi kerabu..
Sedap 😋😋
Perghhh.. Tea ben , demo kenal bare .
Good to look u eat with hand
He’s always a bit messy but practice makes perfect right 😂 🙃🙃
I hope u guys do the batik, wau and maybe the perak (silversmith) visits, too. Thing is, Kelantan as a result of its geographical isolation from the west coast (centre) has developed a great deal of indigenous craft-based industries...cheers ✌️
We didn’t do that but we did something really cool 😎 coming up on the next video 😁😁
dont miss all the delicacies...
Nice video Hello from pattani selatan thailand
Hello there so close yet so far since the borders are closed 😅😅😅

4:00 to add more context to this.
This wet market has one of the unusual sights in Malaysia. Pork meat sellers are usually segregated and placed behind high walls. It is very difficult to see any pork meat sellers that can sell openly in Peninsular Malaysia as if seeing pork meat would be sinful.
Kelantan although led by its ultra conservative PAS government has not imposed any weird rules on this. Many of the Malay ladies have been selling in the same market for years and do not see the selling of pork meat as an issue, they see this as the right of non-Muslims and the Malay sellers are just earning a halal livelihood (rezeki halal).
Can't deny that some may feel jittery of the flies issue and of course, some may even go further saying that the banknotes are tainted with pork blood, thus refusing to buy stuff from the area.
"it is very dfclt to see any pork meat sellers that can sell openly in PENINSULAR MALAYSIA as if seeing pork meat would be sinful"
Srsly, have you ever been to ALL open markets in PENINSULAR Malaysia, where you can buy just any type of meat????
As a multicultured country, ofc everybody has a right to sell whatever meat as they like -- only there are sections for the halal as well as non halal. Josh Tom, idk where you from but apparently you sound bitter because the pork sellers were denied to be next to these Malays ??? Why is that ?? As a non meat eater, it doesn't make any dfrnce to me, but again close minded ppl are everywhere -- it is up to the local counsel to organise the fair consept so that they'd have a harmony environment
Portuguese people love their ikan!!!
A part from Cristiana 😂 she’s not a big fan of Ikan 🙈
@@Travelgramers a member of the same club with Steve & Ken lol
When u can visit kota bharu again
Hello Kristina
This is first comment 😍
🥳 🥳 🥳
Congratulations on being 1st here
🥳 🥳 🥳
Hello I’m new subscriber, found you guys from Ken’s vlog...did you guys been here since the lockdown? Wow I was concentrating on the makcik=old woman she talked so fast and was telling about the area, she said at the end of the market got ‘khinzir’=pork which is non-halal for the muslims and got flies and a bit unhygienic to sit down and eat. At the same time quite impressed with her English but a bit struggling to understand her kelantan slang because I’m from the southern part of Malaysia. Enjoy your day Travelgramers 👍🏻
Ahh welcome on board 😁
We understood what the makcik was trying to say, the end part of the market was not halal and the people selling halal food towards the end were brave to be selling there because most muslim people wouldn’t want to go near the non halal part 😆
But it’s true Kelantanese to us sounds like a different language
best food in terengganu, you have to taste 'nasi dagang', laksan, kerepok lekor
We just need to try keropok lekor now 😁😁
Tapi makanan Kelantan lagi sedap..
wow you can really speak good basic malay language and i think that your pronunciation
also correct.
Thanks 😊
Hi i'm from Malaysia🇲🇾
Happy days 😉

Salak or snakefruit in English the Redbull drinks based from this fruit
Really? 🤔🤔
5:57 thats actually salak.. but in kelantanese slang 'salok'.. it taste a little bit bitter and sour at the same time.. and eating this fruit makes ur throat dry easily
Nasi Color-Blue ba dum tss! 😂

Really glad you enjoyed 😉😉😁
Just love you guys! Keep sharing, please! Hugs from Oslo, Norway! Will share one day too, so hope you can follow us! ;-)
hi.. sir..how to eat kerabu rice is effective..you must mix all salads with rice .. do not eat some rice then salads..must everyone .. eat with your right hand..more delicious ..just my advice .. but everything is ok..😀👍
We did mix it after but first we wanted to taste everything separately, but thanks for the tip 😁😁
Welcome👍💖
Snake fruit tastes like pineapple?? What?!?! lol
How would you describe it? For us it’s like pineapple taste and apple texture 😂
Maybe they pick the sour one.. It shoud be sweet
