Measuring Compost Maturity Using a 1 L Thermos

Compost maturity can be easily measured with a 1 L Thermos and a thermometer! Its an opportunity for smaller composters or composters in remote areas to easily and cost effectively measure compost maturity. We are getting similar results as the Dewar self heating test. Its not an official test, and its not quite as sensitive as the Solvita test, but it gives composters and compost users a really good indication of maturity.
