Signs not on the same strip of street & hidden school 3 blocks away from lights but collecting millions a year in bureaucratic bs should be called Racketeering
That's a problem I see a lot is the speed enforcement signs and lights being badly placed. The one in my neighbor hood has an issue where if you're coming off a side street, there is no flashing lights to warn you you're about to enter a school zone. The flashing lights are only on the main stretch before the side street which is a cut through connecting two major stretches. One school a little over 100 yards going straight from the side street, the other even further if you make a right turn. Only a sign that's hard to notice warns you so anyone who is not familiar with that area coming off the side street have no clue they are entering a school zone until they get pulled over. If they put the signs or the lights pass the side street right before the actual schools, people would notice.
I feel like thats done on purpose. To make money. They need to have more oversite on things like this to prevent shady signage so they can say it was "posted".
