    Amazing to say the least! Interesting how he removes material from one surface and misses the pressure plate surface. Really amazing will be the surprise when the clutch slips itself into destruction sooner than later. Amazing?

    The replacement center section won't hold against the torque with just three 10mm screws holding it in place. More clickbait.

      I thought that as well. But if it breaks they will just rip it out again and fix it again. You forgot to mention it was threaded as well. I think they have lots of experience at doing these repairs in this manner. Something that westerns would not as they have access to cash and spare parts.
      How is this clickbait any different than all the other clickbait on the internet? Well this one at least delivers new content.

      @@gragor11 How is this fixed if it breaks again? The short answer is that it isn't fixed. It is published for entertainment and clicks, which earns the poster cash, by people who know no better.

      They are obviously there to keep it located. Watch it again.

    I actually thought at the start that this might be good repair, but the more I watched , the sadder I became.
    A fully machined, one piece replacement center, with a well prepared weld all round both sides to the flywheel would be a good job, but this is total crap.
    These guys should not be let anywhere near a machine shop.

      He must have some method as he duplicated what was there before. He used the end as a depth gauge. Sometimes I just use my finger as a depth gauge as exactitude a la ABOM79 is not necessary at that point. He might have been using it similar to the 'eyecrometering' that FabRats uses that we all find 'so charming'.

    that is not how to use a tap at all.this is not a drill .there is a proper way to do it

    • @gragor11
      @gragor11 Місяць тому

      Perhaps you're new to this genera. I suggest you go over to ABOM79 where you can watch him fetishize his extensive collection of measuring tools and tapping techniques.
      If these guys have taps that still have teeth on them then they must be doing something right. After all taps are brittle. If they have taps with broken teeth on them then you can rest assured that they would just weld them up again and then hog out new teeth.

      @@gragor11 sorry to say i'm 75 years old and i was taught from the get go to do one turn clockwiseand quarter turn counter clockwise for the excess metal to go free and use tapping fluid also to make it much easier .you don't need to be on you tube to know about machinistor mechanics.
