I did this video for this truck mostly because I wanted to see how a bigger engine and bigger truck compared to the Tacoma video I'll be reuploading later on. That Tacoma shocked the crap out of me with how QUICK it was. The Sierra... not so much. It mostly to me just felt like it needed more gears.
3rd gear and wind resistance remembers to come into effect
Pretty quick, you can always tell after 60 mph the weight of those 2500 trucks starts to take it's toll, especially the vans.

my buddy has a 2007 silverado with the 6.0 max. it’ll run an 8 second 0-60. for a truck from 2007 that’s insane
Not really.. and they aren’t geared any different way. They all have same trans and rear gearing 🤦♂️

Yup. Then the lack of aerodynamics slows it right down. You could feel it inside too. It has been years since I made this video and I still remember the punch just going away suddenly.
@@ThrottleTimeN1K the analogy I can give for this truck accelerating is like me riding my bike against strong wind. I can accelerate fine up until I shift the derailleur to 4th gear. Then I basically fall on my face.
Falls flat on its face after 55, but that's not why you buy these trucks lol
It honestly looks and felt like I was driving through a severe storm and the wind gusted and pushed against the truck.
I suppose you can't expect excellent aerodynamics out of a giant brick on wheels, lol.
@@ThrottleTimeN1K reminds me of when I’m riding my bike against the wind. Once I reach a certain speed and gear I cannot pedal any faster.

I THINK but I can't remember. It's been so many years. It was AT LEAST an extended cab.
I had a 2002 avalanche that did 0-60 in 6.5 seconds that thing moved.
Sure it did buddy. I have an outback that does it in 6.8s and I've raced them and they are slow asf. They get dropped so easily.
Also no testing site has ever clocked 6.5s so your numbers are bs.

Probably. This thing was pretty slow. The 6.0 doesn't make that much more power than the 5.3 and I'm sure this truck weighed more.

will yeah since it's much lighter and it's all aluminum engine not like the 6.0 engine the block is steel except the heads, and we all know that the 2500 hd is more like a heavy duty truck got a thicker frame and it's pretty heavy actually so yeah
