    Most underappreciated vocalist in sabbath

No backing tracks here. This is just the studio version placed over concert footage, so you get the best sound while still having something to look at. I think since Tony is still writing the music, that is the essence of Sabbath, and he was great enough as a musician to pull it off.

After Dio and before Tony Martin, incredibly, there was an an album (Born Again) that featured Ian Gillan from Deep Purple as the singer, and that sounded great as well!

There was also Seventh Star with Glenn Hughes ( Ex Trapeze, Deep Purple, Hughes &Thrall )

@@Nissardpertugiu true, although even Iommi didn’t want to call that album Black Sabbath.

Brian May helps out on the solo in this song. There's supposed to be a Tony Martin box set of his albums with Sabbath.

Tony Iommi and Brian May are tight. Brian May introduced Sabbath at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, and they've played together on multiple occasions.

I’m not sure the “little Tony” nickname applies, though, since he’s six feet tall and is 74 years old, haha! 😉😄

Great reaction, as usual! Tony Martin is probably the most underappreciated and underrated singer of all time. I think that this demonstrates the great musicianship of Tony Iommi, in that he could go through all of these lineup changes and still make it sound great no matter who was singing. Since he was the leader and driving force and music writer for Sabbath, I think any band with him in it was essentially Black Sabbath; a band that evolved as he did. Of course, in the end, after the death of Dio, the original lineup returned (absent Bill Ward) for a final great album produced by Rick Rubin which went to #1 on Billboard.

      Tony Martin isn't dead.

@@21Piloteer , whoops! I must have misread that somewhere! In fact, I see he has a new album out this year entitled "Thorns". Thanks for the correction.

Tony Iommi is Sabbath, end of and Martin is their greatest singer. The Dio/Martin comparison is pretty lazy but sadly one many fall into, the more you hear of Martin the less they sound alike. Martin actually had a higher effective vocal range - 5 octaves.
