    Hi Doug.
    What a great cart. Lots of useful ideas.
    I guess what I like about your channel is you have such good, useful, and creative ideas. What makes it work , at least for me, some others might agree, is you follow the rules of K.I.S.S. ( keep it simple, stupid). Which is sometimes what I struggle with, over thinking. Lol
    Thanks again. Doug.

    Doug, you are a man of innovation!
    I repurposed a Pressure Washer frame with wheels to hold my (flux core) MIG and Stick Welders.
    I also added a 20' Retractable Extension Cord (120V with Breaker & swapping both plug ends) for better Versatility and a Metal "tip Open" bin above the Welders (with a magnet to keep it closed) to hold tips & tools. And a couple of Rod Holders attached to the Uprights.

    I thought for sure the gun holder was cut to a perfect size to use it as a tank wrench. I like the idea, I use my Klutch welding table as my cart. I added a shelf on the bottom, a 4 outlet box for my mig, grinder, and whatever else, then I added wheels. I do however find everything on the shelf gets dirty because of the holes. My MIG is a flux core so no bottle for it.

    Doug great cart some great simple ideas and easy but smart like it a lot. You have a piece of equipment beside that welder I would really like to have some classes on is the mill machine. I rebuild Perazzi trap guns for a hobby and when your fitting a new block I can see that would be a very hand machine to help in the job. Right now I do everything by hand which still works very well just need lots of patience… Great videos also watched the one explaining your eye injury, at my cottage a couple years ago similar thing involving a bobcat except a guy had a tow rope on a root ball and was pulling it out and when it let go it sling shotted and came through the cab and actually man passed away from his head injuries so thing happen very quick… always have to be thing what could happen if things don’t go right…

    That cart is awesome. Can't think of anything to make it better other than maybe a place for your most used clamp(s). Maybe some of your consumables can be placed on that pole instead of the bottom tray so you don't have to bend way down there. Well done!

  • @Ritalie
    @Ritalie Рік тому +1

    For $2,900, the Miller welder doesn't come with a nice gas strut to hold up the side cover? You should write them a scathing letter and demand revisions. haha. I love this cart idea! I love the flush mount cables that can't get smashed, because the table top steel is wider than the rest of the cart. Having a welder under a welding work table, really seems like the best combination of saving space. Most people don't need a gigantic stand alone welding table with dozens of clamps, for basic farm and shop repairs. 19:26. The rack on the cart that holds the welding helmet, gloves, jacket, and nozzles, is just amazing.

    Brilliant job as usual Doug! A big shout out and thanks to Autumn for shooting this video. It’s always nice to see & hear Autumn’s input and ideas. You kids really knocked this one out of the park. Everything was well thought out and done to perfection. I agree with you on the rocker switch on the Miller. It looks like there is room on the front panel. My only concern there is if a warranty issue arises they may void the warranty since it was modified. If it’s already out of warranty, there is a rocker switch blank insert on eBay for 7.99. It’s 1/2”X3/4”. I know you could also make one out of a small piece of whatever you have laying around See you in the next installment. Have a great week & be safe.

    Doug I started welding this weekend and I have two (probably stupid) questions for you. Because I know you have a place for everything and keep a very neat shop - where do you drop the mig wire clippings when you trim the excess wire from the gun? How long do the batteries last in your auto dimming welding helmet, should I be taking them out if I’m not using my helmet for a week or two? Thanks!

    • @OneEyeCustoms
      @OneEyeCustoms  Рік тому +1

      I cut the wire and drop it into my grinding tray but a small metal can would be a great idea on the cart!!

    • @OneEyeCustoms

      It is a magnet out of an old car speaker. You don’t want to use too powerful of a magnet. A neodymium magnet would be way too powerful and a pain to pull off all the time. You just need a magnet with a hole through it that the metal bolt or whatever touches to steal your welding.

  • @dereklloyd527

    So to answer your question about the power switch in the back, is because that welder was designed for all (not just North American) markets. The rest of the world mandates that the power switch is located in the rear near the power cord for whatever reason. This is why all the typical Amazon welders have the power switch in the rear because they only have 1 model of that particular style and they have no clue where their machines will end up. Your miller is strange to me, they must be cutting costs and making their machines for a global market as a posed to a North American machine and a "the rest of the world" machine.
