First, I didn't expect that Indonesia had an army for which to make meals, so that was something I learned. Second, I learned to just drink the drinks and the chocolate cookies. When you first dumped the main, I had the thought that it might have been a chicken and dressing-style casserole. Wow, was I wrong. You are a braver man than I am, Gunga Din. Most of the meals you get I could be enticed to order. I think I will skip that country. As for the unfortunate side-effects, I'm surprised Mrs. Ration Nerd did not have you living in the garage for a few days. Nice video. Enjoyed it.
ROFL. I am sure she my have regretted picking me for a couple days or so! LOL. I will do a review on a 24 Hour Indonesian ration, but as far as getting a bunch more of this style.....even in a different menu, I might hesitate. Thank you for watching and commenting and for your support!
Indonesia is the home to a lot of spices used in curries etc around the world, things like black pepper, cinnamon, star anise, cloves nutmeg, lemon grass, ginger and galangal etc. Add to that some garlic, shallots, coconut and peanut - there you go: Indonesian food :)
LOL! It sounds like a flavor bomb recipe! It certainly was that! Like I said in the review, if I grew up with those types of flavors I might have liked it. To me it was just way to crazy in the flavor department! Thank you for watching and commenting!
LOL. Thank you for coming along. I am not for everyone, that is for sure. But I was never trying to be the poster boy for UA-cam, so I am just having fun! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Cheese flavored desserts are actually quite common and popular throughout Asia. They even make ice creams with real cheddar cheese, haha! The floral vanilla flavor you were tasting comes from the pandan leaves they used in their chicken recipe. Pandan is another extremely popular ingredient in many things, mostly sweets from what I understand. This is the first time I’ve seen it used in a savory dish.
He does! He helps me get a ton of cool rations for the channel. And to be honest, he is a really good guy who does not make a ton of money selling rations. He makes enough money to fund his own ration eating habit. I have zero issues advertising for him. He is a great guy and has some awesome connections to get some cool stuff!
I don't understand the adverse effect to MSG, nearly every everyday food has some form of it in it, like cheese, onions, chillies and mushrooms to name a few.
I requested the boil! It goes well with the banter!! 😂
I know! I just had to have some fun with it!!!!
Thank you for watching my friend!
@RationNerd loving it dude! Keep it up!
@ Will do my friend!
Not every country has Spaghetti Os, Cap'n Crunch and Bosco? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
Hope you and Mrs Nerd are well tonight, I'm about to watch your awesome video
We are well! Thank you Andy! I hope you enjoy!
Welcome back RN 🙃 I knew something was up when the little angel floated onto the screen lmao 😂
LOL. I am too predictable! Be well my friend and drive safe. Around here it is a winter fuster-cluck!
@ it’s cold in Indiana. Just saw a polar bear trying to build a fire 🔥 🤭
Indonesia is a Muslim majority country and they definitely have a hot tea culture. So that probably translates to those drinks.

Those drinks remind me of Mexican Horchata which is a sweetened rice milk drink with cinnamon

The "vanilla" and "floral" flavours are from the pandan leaf, it's often called "Asian vanilla"
Sorry I missed but here now and @RN how are you
Good afternoon!
Hello my friend!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry i missed the premiere! No pork in this halal? 😂
This one could have used a big chunk-o-pork! And a lot less crazy seasoning!
Your buddy needs to give you a commission for all the times you plug his store.

Some people are sensitive to large doses of MSG. That's why every time I eat at the local Chinese joint it gives me the 💩💩💩💩
@@angusoldwolf295 white people problems right there.
I notice most Indonesian meals are Halal
The majority of the Indonesian population is Muslim. So they are just making sure they can feed all the troops.
Majority of them follow the terrorist death cult
