Kylo Ren is by far the best thing about the Star Wars sequel trilogy, and one of my favorite characters of the franchise. I wanted to pay tribute to him, and I hope you'll like it.

I absolutely agree - Kylo IS one of the best Star Wars characters and the only good thing about the sequels. Thank you for stopping at the moment before the deadly kiss, it's really appreciated. I just can't acknowledge his death, he couldn't die like that, it feels wrong.. well, a lot about the sequels feels wrong but when they humiliated Kylo like that.. oh, I can't handle it, sorry.

I'm an OG Star Wars fan -- I was 22 when A New Hope premiered, and I saw it and the original trilogy multiple times in the theatre. The prequels were the films of my boys' childhoods, and my obsession passed to them and grew with the toys and video games and animated series. The final trilogy was viewed as all the previous films were -- in the theatre, all of us together, surrounded by dozens of other fans. As someone who's been there since the beginning, I loved the arc of Ben Solo/Kylo Ren. I felt his character reached a depth and breadth that encompassed the entire series, and reflected the journeys of all the other pivotal characters, as well as that of the audience. Who didn't want to share Luke's bright-eyed determination, Leia's sense of duty and purpose, Han's swagger, Obi Wan's wisdom? And weren't we also seduced by the dark, mysterious power and fierce fury of Darth Vader? William S. Burroughs said, "The face of evil is always the face of total need." Anakin's need, passed down to Ben. The need for connection, the need for control. And the fear of that need, driving them both to the Dark Side. Palpatine of course was the Architect, all along, and the only pawn he could not maneuver was his own flesh and blood, Rey. It took her will to break the cycle, and to open a path for Ben's redemption. Not all heros survive their triumph, unfortunately. But through their sacrifice, some reclaim the noble legacy of their bloodline. I've watched dozens of Ben/Kylo tribute videos in the past six months; not one captures and expresses the intrinsic worth and beauty of this character better than yours does. Thank you so much, from an OG fan ❤️

kylo ren is the best Star Wars character and one of my favourite movie characters ever. so many emotions that I personally relate to making the bad choice but often feeling the conflict between making the right choice. He truly is awesome and amazing edit!

Dang! You totally made me gasp with the montage of Anakin saying he'd stop people from dying and Ben saying he'd finish his grandfather's work, then bringing Rey back. You literally made me blink and catch my breath. Brilliant!

"Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves." (Henry David Thoreau) Something tells me that Ben might need to find himself all over again before returning. It's one thing to go from being a bad guy to a guy but it's about staying and making a commitment to want to be even better than you were before. Redemption doesn't mean "I will never fuck up again" it's about "I understand what I did , I know I have ways to go , I might still struggle on some days more than others , I might lose it all all over again but I don't have to be what I used to I can do better than that." It takes the rest of your life for one to be better and do better going forward because you'll always be tested but it doesn't mean you can't keep trying. Maybe this movie wasn't ready to give us an ending that would have been but maybe one day it can. I'm probably talking out of my butt but it's something I want to put out there.
Okay. That edit of Anakin's quote "I'll even learn to save people from dying" followed by Ben's "I will finish what you started" is so great it made me feel for a second that Rise of Skywalker was good.

Kylo/ Ben is the main character of the sequel series to me.
This is the best Ben Solo tribute i've watched. The edits are perfectly put together with the music in the background. Well done! 👏 I really wish that Kylo Ren had more screentime. He's such a great character and it would be more interesting to see him as the main character. Would be cool if he had his own movie. Adam Driver nailed the performance and carried the entire trilogy in my opinion. I also wish they made more out of Snoke... He seemed mystic and powerful. As cool as it was to see Palps again, I really wanted something new and refreshing instead.

This trilogy have many good ideas, and potential.. But in the end it was very disappointing :/ But anyway, Kylo is my favorite character of the franchise with Anakin, and Adam Driver is easily one of the best actors of the saga

Just imagine for a moment that after Kylo used force heal to bring back Rey, Kylo then dies. But the ghost of anakin skywalker steps in force healing Ben and bringing him back. Then Anakin says to Ben “now my grandchild, it’s time to finish what I started” him and Rey then get married and live out the rest of their days on Tatooine with Rey becoming Rey Skywalker.
If only...

J’ai trouvé ta vidéo sympa comme pleins de montage de ce genre mais j’ai complètement craqué avec l’écho que tu fais entre Ben et son grand-père... C’est incroyablement bien trouvé (ça m’a même donné les larmes aux yeux) et ça me confirme que même si la postologie est remplie de défauts, l’histoire de ce personnage et son interprétation sont quand même impressionnantes !
En effet, cette postlogie est bourré de défauts, mais ce personnage est loin d'en faire parti !

This is hands down the Best Kylo-Ren/Ben Solo redemption tribute ever mad by a fan...
However....
The Kylo Ren/Ben Solo redemption story would've only worked 100% if Rey wasn't the Granddaughter of Palpatine, but was in fact *Han & Leah's illegitimate Long Lost Daughter, Ben Solo's little sister* , the child that Leah secretly had unexpectedly while her & Han were split up after years of martial problems dealing with Ben Solo's early years and dealing with separation issuses, which cause him to feel the struggle of good & bad from being torn apart while training with Luke, learning to try to ballance his struggle with the Light & Dark side of the Force... and Leah would've never told Han.... and never would've told Luke... instead she would've found a way to have little baby Rey given to a loving trusting family that Leah approved of on Luke's & Anakin's home planet of Tatoine, but the adopted parents that Leah chose would've inadvertently have to move from Tatoine to Jakku when the First Order started its resurgence back in the Galaxy... but Rey's adoptive parents would've left little Rey behind on Jakku to protect her from being sought after from either any First Order infiltration, or Snoke or who or whatever evil Dark Lord presence that could've been rising back up in the Galaxy... and then eventually her adopted parents were murdered during the infiltration for not revealing little Rey's location or whereabouts... allowing Leah to Feel it through the Force that they were murdered, but the feelings were not specific as she thought that murders included her little Rey as well... it wasn't until she met adult Rey in The Force Awakens that she *secretly* felt a tremor in the force when 1st encountering Her... but she absolutely kept it to herself and never expressed her thoughts or feelings towards anyone else... but instead, after the conclusion of The Last Jedi... it was Leah herself that decided to train Rey in the beginning of Episode 9, because Luke couldve spoken to Leah through the Force after his death... and told her she had to eventually reveal the truth to Rey... so this way, it could be the only way to redeem the Skywalker family name & bloodline... both Luke & Leah would know deep down inside, the only other person that could bring Ben Solo back from the darkness was Rey, his little sister....
Because that's the true theme of the entire Star Wars Skywalker saga...
*FAMILY!!*
(And just like in this Fan made tribute... no, they would've never kissed either!)
But seriously... No matter how terrible, or how horrible a person in your family has become, and no matter how many horrendously awful unforgivable things and acts they've committed... doesn't matter if they're your Mother, you're Father, Youre Husband or Wife, the Father or Mother of your children, Your son, Your daughter, Your Brother or Sister... if you love them and you know they're in pain and are suffering... and there is a chance you can bring them back to good graces... then the only way you can do that is through FORGIVENESS...
