It's kind of amazing how an all-Japanese group that sings entirely in English has managed to break into the Kpop fandom like this. This song is also a big step forward from their debut imo!

It turns the original lyric around. In the original "It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to
, Cry if I want to" is the singer declaring her right to cry at her own party, because a boy hurt her; XG flips it, saying "Ill dry WHEN I want to".
Basically saying: "I'm not going to cry just because you hurt me; I'm not going to let you ruin my mascara. I cry on my terms, not yours."
Nice, I didn't even realize it and it does push the message of the song even further, very cool!
That's exactly the message = You Don't Own Me or "Boy you ain't worth my tears"
XG only got 2 singles out and already def one of my favorite Girl Group out there. These girls just SLAY

Number 1 thing I respect about XG for is they speak as ONE GROUP. coz in the world of bias driven fans, this unification theme the group do is everything we need. Coz bias thing altho fun, it is also a gateway to TOXICITY from some fans.

Kep1er being made on a produce show will likely only get like a 2 year run sadly. They usually don't resign them even when they are doing good probably bc all the people are from different labels idk. Honestly I love both groups as they are now.

I was so disappointed of myself for linking this new GG 😕 i was like “Nop Im just going to listen to this song and that’s all” and then 7 minutes later I already order 2 albums and I been watching the MV all Day!!! This girls are so awesome. 😔💕💕
