I live in Japan, so this popped up as an ad on another UA-cam video on debut day. I was waiting for my 5-second skip and they said ta-ta-ta-ta-ta and I sat through the whole ad. I love this debut. So glad that Japan finally decided to take the world stage. (We usually go for cute over bad gyal sexy.) I missed the elevator going up and the top floor being XG, so thanks for that.

I saw one or two reactors saying it’s definitely more of a western vibe and calling the melody flat, but this is the first song i haven’t gotten tired of hearing on replay.
So XG is a Japanese group, though going for an international focus. That is probably why it is a pure English song. The first time I listened to it, it didn't quite grab me, though I'm not sure why. It has been growing on me though.
I think that after a few listens it's gonna be a hard song to forget, especially that chorus hehe.
This is I think the 2nd group I know from Avex to debut with full English lyrics as members are mostly half. The first group I know was INTERSECTION.

they’ve got some pretty insane pre-debut content on their YT channel. dance, rap and vocal covers that are just NUTS. really intrigued by the concept and direction their label’s going to use to promote them.

I loved that your analysis hit on so many things that most other reactors skip or miss out on. I get ya! Using Harvey to point out the details of her hand and boot extending out of the frame. So gorgeous! I think you did that just to linger on her visuals! ;) I get the feeling that they were holding back with this video. Their pre-debut stuff shows how capable this group is. They didn't need to go full-on Kpop with super-saturated colors, multiple wardrobe changes, crazy backgrounds.
Who would have thought that the rap lines would be so dominant? Five members who can rap in English? C'mon, that's not being fair! WOW! I would have expected perhaps Harvey being Aussie/Japanese to be able to speak English without an accent which is notoriously difficult for most Japanese. Although not perfect, this is so much better than the occasional English word or phrase that is tossed into most Kpop and Jop songs to sound cool.
As a Jazz and R&B lover, this song was a mood changer. Expecting Kpop/Jpop and getting an incredibly tasteful, luscious background track to go along with that constant bass rhythm. That Ta Ti Ta ti ti ti ti Ta Ta is an instant earworm. Not what anyone was expecting and I definitely think this has shook up a lot of people.
I was also expecting something else, like honestly this was a very nice surprise, it's more subtle and I think it works pretty well. This song got stuck in my head since the first listen and I really want to hear more of them for sure
One of the best debuts I’ve seen. Love the minimalist, “we ain’t gotta scream to get your attention” vibe. I had never heard of them before this dropped.

Fun fact: Kep1er's Hikaru is from XG's agency. She trained with the members of this group, but it was finally decided that she would represent the agency on "Girls Planet 999" where she finally debuted. It is expected (so far) that once she finished her promotion in 2024 with Kep1er, she will return to her agency and join XG.

What i really really love abou this Debut is the Raps ( and the Chorus and the Vocals 😅 )
The Lyrics are so good. I´m so annoyed with the most GG Rap parts.. it´s everstime the same useless words filling bullshit. Most time theres no sense in anything.
And this Girls 🔥🔥 just Rap.. with words that build full sentences 😆
They don´t beat around the bush.. they are here to dominate.
I´ve seen how good their dancing skills are and i think they showed us just a bit to get a taste.

Executive Producer Jakops (Junho Park) debuted as a singer in Korea and has been engaged in Kpop as a producer and composer for over 13 years. His father is Korean, his mother is Japanese, he is of Japanese nationality and was born in the United States. He came to Korea in 2009. He is fluent in English, Japanese and Korean. XG is a group that was born with all their might through a global project that they have been preparing for over 5 years. The group consists of Japanese members who practiced with the Kpop system in Korea and set global goals with English songs. The choreography of this song is good, it's addictive, it's stylish and it's good. It looks like a more evolved version of Kpop. Making a song in English is an important point. In that sense, XG group will be a sufficiently stimulating group for K-Pop.

Many people misunderstood because YGX (dance studio) was used for the dance performance of XG's music video. My comment explaining why they used YGX. It also states that they are trainees of AVEX artist academy.
