I just made this jelly, and it is AWESOME. It was so easy to make, and like you, I followed it to the T! I can't wait to check out your peach video! Thank you!!!🎉
Have you ever done a pepper jelly? I'd like to find one just a bit of heat. Thoughts? I have a TON of poblanos and bells this year. What milder peppers do you think might make a good jelly that I might grow next year?
Those pears can also be used to make pear wine. Which is fairly expensive to buy at a wine shop . It's not very hard to do although you do have to pay attention to the details. Cleanliness , etc. It's simply another way to enjoy the fruits of your labors later this winter.
@@joannthompson765 , Commercial honey is sealed in bottles in a process similar to canning. Although I think that they use steam rather than boiling water.
You messed up your wife's kithen you probably used her pillowcase and you put the jars on her good tablecloth, and you lived to tell the story, amazing. She is out of town isn't she lol
Tried your recipe today and was great second run added tsp apple pie spice and was also very good thank you for sharing!
Glad to know you like it!
thank you for the tips,, its that time of year when we start making fruit butters ,, jams and jellies
Yuuuummm...!
Yum!!! My Mom used to make that when I was a kid. We had jars of it that we used all year long. There's nothing better than canned pear jelly!
Amen!
I'd have NEVER thought of using a pillowcase!! lol That's hilarious, but hey, whatever works, right?! lol That jelly looks great!
👍😎

Youve got a purdy good show. Been subbed for a month or so and find it entertainin and informative
👍🥓🍳☕
I just subbed today! Awesome!
Thanks, RT!
Yum. I love that stuff.
It's really good.
My first time to make it!
I think it's wonderful that you do so much of the canning. My husband willingly helps me can when I ask him to, but he doesn't do it on his own.
I know the feeling... I'm not crazy about it either.
Thanks! Luv it! On another batch I sub 2 cup red hots for 2 of sugar. 1tsp ginger. All rest. Real pretty too! Going 2 give some @ Christmas
Great idea!!
New sub here! Love the intro and scripture!
Awesome! Thank you!
I would like the receipt for the pear jelly
Sorry, I don’t have it written down. You will just have to go back and watch the video and take notes.
You’ll do fine 👍🏻😎
Yummy 😋 , Thank you 😊

We do a pepper jam or cowboy candy…we love it!
I've never tried any pepper jelly.
I need to give it a try soon... thanks
Are you using Bosc pears? Mine are almost ripe. Probably just about one more week and they should be perfect.
These are from an "Orient" pear tree.

Very true!
I've made some several years ago :)
I wonder if honey can be used for a sweetener instead of refined white sugar ?
Not sure how the honey would react to being canned tho

Not sure if it would work or not... but it's worth a try 😎
Can you post the recipe? I want able to find it on your site. Can’t wait to try!
Sorry, I don't have it written down
But, I think I cover it all in the video.
@@BIGALTX thank you! I noticed the transcript after I asked! Can’t wait to make it tomorrow and thank you again!
Love your accent. You remind me of my kin folk! 😊
Accent...?
What accent...?!?!? 😎
Can you make it with out sugar, or would it not jell up right?
Sure Jell makes a low sugar product: amzn.to/35FV0N0
What gel?
Sure Jell. They have regular and sugar free: amzn.to/3zI9iZE
My gma always made it. Now she's gone😔making it my first time this year!!!
Glad you are carrying on the tradition!
@@BIGALTX thank you 🎀
Looks good. How do you feel about pepper jelly?
Never made it ... but it's on my to do list 😎👍
@@BIGALTX I feel you will like it tremendously. A jalapeño can easily be added to any of the jellies and jams that you already make.
needless to add water. i soak the fruit overnight with sugar.
Thanks for the tip! :)
That looks just like corncobb jelly❤
Hahaha... yes, it really does.
@@BIGALTX just found your channel, do you have a video on the corncobb jelly? I think it's one of those that you really don't see anymore
@@PhillipMadden-uk4fy No, I've never made any corncob jelly. I want to some day... it's good!
Thanks for watching
Wow! New sub here! I recently made Poached Pears on my page too and your pear dish looks amazing! Hope to stay connected! 😀

Hahaha.
Nope... I make sure I clean up everything BEFORE she gets home.
"like it never even happened"
Was this your asian pears?
Jo Ann Thompson ,
The pears in the video appeared to be common ordinary pears.
